Diner Reviews
  • "The food was hot and the service was great! Could not have asked for a better meal. Although I am no foodie I do appreciate a hot meal that is well made, well presented and keeps one smiling! Well done!"

  • "I go to Rosie's pretty often - more for special occasions but it's great for a regular night out too. The service and food are consistently good. I was there the other night with a group of 6 and we were seated at a nice round table which we so much prefer! I almost dropped the ball on requesting a slice of birthday cake and candle for the birthday girl - I made the request while on a trip to the restroom and the waitress pulled it off seamlessly. She gave me a quick choice of desserts and the lemon cake was superb and was presented in a picture perfect manner! You won't be disappointed with your visit to Rosie's! (I had the chilean sea bass and had the risotto substituted (dairy allergy) with asparagus - still thinking about it!)"

  • "Rosie's always serves very good food and fair prices. The wait staff are very attentive. The noise level is always a problem and the food a bit salty, but I keep coming back."

  • "I hosted a birthday dinner for a friend on 5/7. There were 7 people attending. Every one of us had a delicious meal ( the veal martino is my personal favorite!) The service was excellent. We were not rushed so we could enjoy our celebration. I have been to Rosie's many times and it is always a winner. I plan to be back again very soon."

  • "I've been wanting to try this place out for years...Often would see this restaurant and always notice people having a seeming wonderful time. I can now solidify that impress with my own experience. Thank you. We'll certainly be back. Soon!"

  • "Brought a bunch of friends to this great establishment after a recent visit with a former colleague of mine. The food was great. The service was good and the noise level was little high. Would definitely go back and would refer to many friends. "

  • "We drive 20 miles to get to Rosie's, passing many restaurants on the way. We were not disappointed. Each time it gets better. Walking in reminds me of an upscale NYC bar scene w/ well dressed patrons & lively conversation. We were greeted warmly by an adorable hostess, smiling & made acted that she was glad to see us. Our table was in the back room, away from the action. But the room filled up quickly, with well dressed, larger parties. The service was great & the server was alive with personality and a sense of humor. Drinks were generous & the wine list was fairly priced. Then came the meal. YUM ! We agreed, the food was fresh, tasty, & portions were generous. A must visit even for us "Northern Westchester folks."

  • "Out of the 4 restaurants my friends and I went to during the recent restaurant week, Rosie's was by far our favorite for both the food and service. We will definitely be going back."

  • "We return to Rosie's as always have a good meal. Three out of the 4 of us ordered off the restaurant week menu and we were not disappointed . The fish was delicious and pasta excellent. Service was attentive without being intrusive or rushed. The desserts were delicious. Will be returning."

  • "I've been meaning to try this Restaraunt for a long time. I went during Restaraunt week and it was great. The Portions were big and the food was delicious. The service was great and I can't wait to go there again. I'm so glad I tried it. I live in the area and I love supporting those near me. I have also owned my own Restaraunt so I know good food and how a Restaraunt should be run. Rosie you got my vote! Keep doing what you are doing. Angela."

  • "Start of snowstorm didn't deter us to celebrate at this wonderful restaurant. Salmon was cooked perfectly, as was the Chilean Sea Bass. Too much butter in both the spinach and broccoli rabe marred the vegetable sides. The lemon cake was to die for."

  • "I went to Rosie's with friends for the first time and we had a great time! Our waitress was attentive and helpful in selecting our wine and food. She had a great personality and was so personable! The restaurant week menu was delicious!! The desert selection was great as well! I would definitely return to this restaurant!"

  • "Excellent food in good portions and served hot. Reservations accommodated on time. Good glass of wine for the price. Only down side is that tables are too close together and restaurant is somewhat noisy which negates a romantic dinner. However, if only an excellent meal is desired, this is the place."

  • "Food was okay, nothing special but service was awful. Waiter kept trying to rush us out, they tried to take away our drinks before we were finish. It was only 9pm, don't know why they were rushing us out the door."

  • "We are regular occasionals at Rosie's, that is, we come two to three times a year when we host out-of-town guests and of all places in Bronxville, this one is the most reliably good one. The wine list is solid and so are the dishes. Don't ask to split your salads as this makes the servings really small (and you want to enjoy your arugula with pear, pecan and goat cheese). Their cantuccini are among the best you will find in metro NY. The best measure of an Italian restaurant, however, is their tomato sauce and their "signature" dish here is plain old spaghetti pomodore. Chances are it beats that of your Italian grandma. Don't get discouraged by the staff at the entrance - once you made it past them, the service is reliably good."

  • "The food is always fresh here & cooked to perfection. The wait staff is very attentive & knowledgeable. I have dined here several times and it is always a positive experience. Fresh warm bread served with your meal. I would highly recommend this restaurant."

  • "Small restaurant. I was expecting a bit better place. The location is not in the more transitted part of Bronxville so it was very quiet. It needs some redecorating... the paintings hanging on the walls were weird and had some females showing their breasts, so that I did not like for a dining atmosphere. Cannot complain about the service, they were very attentive. The food was good, but not excellent. My son loved the pizza primavera and my daughter also loved here pasta marinara. I had the sole with rissotto, the sole needed more taste but was cooked well. My husband had the veal parmignana. the cutlets seemed a bit thick, but he did not complain about the taste."

  • "I went with three friends to Rosie's for lunch during restaurant week. The appetizers and desserts were fabulous. The veal selection that two of us ordered came as chicken and was very dry. It was fried with a salad greens on top and lacked any kind of spice. It was not up to the usual Rosie's offering. The other two friends had the filet of sole which they thought was fabulous."

  • "Great Restaurant, good variety of food choices, excellent wine and service. Once you go there, you definitely will go back again and again. Recommend making a reservation as Rosie's is always busy."

  • "Friendly service in an attractive setting with unusual takes on classic dishes that were excellent. Fair prices for a good selection, including specials. Beware of tables of 20 somethings whose screeching imposes itself on an otherwise lovely experience."

  • "Not your ordinary Italian Restaurant. A varied menu of American specialties and what is presented on their menu as Italian which was not prepared in the standard Italian version you are use eating."

  • "Very pleasant and accomodating waiter. Portions were full sized during Restaurant Week and expertly prepared, as usual. Waiter was very helpful with suggestions. Great baked clams, shrimp and scallops over linguine, and espresso cake!"

  • "The menu for Restaurant Week was terrific. It had nice choices like clams as an appetizer and not just salad or soup. The pot roast just fell apart with your fork. The desserts were the best! The cappuccino cake was delicious."
