  • "There were five of us and we all had something different and we each had a very pleasant experience. The "mediterranean pide" was superb. The scampi was a delight. The chicken alfredo and pizza were very good. The salmon was excellent. All very, very good. The service was attentive and appropriate at all times. This was a noisy, strip mall restaurant though, so conversation was tough. The real down side was the tables. They were sticky, some sort of unusual material that was porous. And they cleaned the tables with cloth rags. Not good. I may go back but I would ask to sit somewhere where they didn't have those tables."

  • "A nice neighborhood restaurant, the draw for us are its pides, Saffron Crayfish, and Pasta Salad with Chicken."

  • "Server was the best, food was out of this world, tried some new things, all excellent, appetizer was the best. What can I say we had a great time and a great meal, I wish I knew the servers name, she was super."

  • "A vegetarian, a gluten free and a dairy free all want to go to dinner. After several minutes on Yelp we turn to Open Table and see a Mediterranean restaurant we all can agree to. We were very pleased with the scrumptious entrees and dessert was even better. Will definitely go again next time we are in town."

  • "We adore Rosemary Thyme Bistro. That night was a little disappointing because our server seemed a little overwhelmed so the service wasn't quite seamless. That being said, the server was very personable. We will continue to dine at RTB...we are fans! Their menu has a nice variety with great entrees that are delicious and unique."

  • "This IS our go to restaurant in Northern Virginia. My wife and I believe Rosemary's has the best pizza in the area, so this is what we usually come for, to include a wonderful Greek sald on the side. I tried something different this time which was the Lamb Iskender in a rich tomato sauce with yogurt ad pita chips, it was great. My son had another lamb dish on a bed of pureed eggplant, which he said was very good. The menu has a mediterranean flair with plenty of unique dishes. I am sure you will not be disappointed if you try Rosemary's."

  • "How was it I missed this restaurant?? I thought it would be just an ordinary place, so never went there. How wrong I was. I had more fun, better food, service, and a much better drink than I normally get at a 'name' restaurant. Friendly, happy service and guess what--a drink that wasn't watered down. The menu is quite varied and the prices are good. I will be going back soon."

  • "Looking for an uncrowded location for Sun Brunch, I found Rosemary's Thyme on the internet. In short, the brunch menu, while not particularly innovative, presented a solid mix of traditional dishes. The Eggs Benedict was superb, with a side of flavorful home fries and fruit. My wife's omelet was equally well done. The service however, was a bit disjointed with two servers showing up at our table within about 30 seconds of each other asking about coffee refills, then nothing for the next 5 min while our cups remained empty. Overall, a solid brunch experience and I'd return again."

  • "I like the restaurant for the variety of the menu. It is easy to find lunch and brunch entrees. The waitress was pleasant and may have been new to the job or perhaps serving too many tables--it was a sunday no one rushed us out of the restaurant . my friends and I had a great visit"

  • "This place might be good...it might be great, but when I make a reservation and drive 20 minutes to the destination only to be told that the reservation cannot be honored and I will have to wait 40 minutes to be seated, I hope the restaurant can understand why I might get frustrated with that... Here's some customer service ideas: 1) don't accept the reservations if they can't be honored 2) when someone with a reservation shows up, bump them to the top of the waiting list 3) if those don't work.. offer something to the customer: "if you wait 40 minutes, we'll take 20% off your dinner, and here's a free glass of house wine for both of you, so sorry") The place is an hour drive away, so we won't be back in the neighborhood."

  • "Very nice experience for my wife and me for Valentine's Day. Service was solid, food was very good. A bit cramped but not uncomfortable. Really nice energy level but not particularly romantic. But a wonderful experience nonetheless."

  • "My husband and I were expecting something a little different given that the address was Clifton. We expected a stand-alone restaurant to which we would only go on very special occasions.. We were surprised, but in a pleasant way. Rosemary's Thyme was a great neighborhood restaurant with reasonable prices. It's a place we can go to again and again, not just on special occasions."

  • "We loved the food and the service, so much that we returned again the very next night and brought our friends along. We're eager to go again and try out even more of their menu."

  • "We are repeat lunch customers for special gatherings. It's between Gainsville and Fairfax for our group so all drive an equal distance. The food is excellent and the staff go out of their way to make our party happy and full. We all love the fish lunch special."

  • "We fell in love with Historic Clifton but some of its restaurants were too pretentious for us. Rosemary's Thyme Bistro was perfect. The food was quality and generous for the price, not to mention delectable. We had a divine brunch!"

  • "Simply put: Consistently good, enticing Happy Hour deals, and still one of only two Fairfax County restaurants that features crayfish as a regular entree on its menu."

  • "Food was very good except for the side salads...just iceberg lettuce, a few bits of shredded carrots are all that come to mind. Rest of the food was fine--combo kebob and shrimp scampi. Baklava was unusualy and excellent--cut into four squares and heated, served in a mini skillet. Service was a bit off, waiter even said he was having a long day--but I think he'd be great given the rays of sunshine that poked through. Multiple crying/yelling young children not being minded by their parents was a huge distraction at 6:30pm on s Sunday night. I'd go back--food was pretty authentic."

  • "Our book club met there and all of us enjoyed the meal! We had the Rosemary Grilled Chicken Salad and we all raved about the freshness and the peanut lime dressing. The table was ready for us when we got there and our server was efficient and friendly. Great place and we will go back again!"

  • "Very good Turkish food. Flavors very authentic. Went on a Monday with few other diners and noise level was low. Might be loud with a full house."

  • "My wife and i had quit going to R&Ts several years ago due to a decline in the quality of the food. Since then they've changed the menu to feature small plates and other new items. They must have changed chefs too, since the food was excellent this time around! We were seated promptly, tthe service was attentive, and the food was very good. We will definitely put this rplace back on our favorite neighborhood restaurant list!"

  • "The Mediterranean cuising is very good, flavorful and not over spiced. We dine at Rosemary's Thyme quite often and it is busy on Friday night and reservations are recommended."

  • "Second time around dining here. Many excellent choices. Both meals were great. Half price wine bottles until 7 (this was a Monday night). Service was excellent!! Will definitely be back."

  • "While the restaurant is termed Mediterranean the menu seemed more Turkish in flavor. My wife and I went mostly for the Mezes menu for dinner because we could get a better sampling of their food. Each dish that we had was very good - lamb skewer, squid in a tomato-based sauce, roasted eggplant and a spanakopita. We would have happily ordered more if we were not full but we were very satisfied with what we had. This is very casual place located in a plaza mall. We likely would not have stopped their if we had not read about it in Open Table. The tiramisu is good, not fabulous, as others have mentioned. The mascarpone was light and fluffy buy the lady fingers were soaked and had little, if any, essence of an espresso flavor."

  • "Three reasons we return regularly: It is the only restaurant in the DC metropolitan area that serves crayfish among its regular menu items; its salads are nicely crafted and proportions are ample; and Happy Hour specials also apply to the dinner menu."

  • "We took a large group for a family gathering recently and got excellent food and service. This is always one of our local favorites and they did not disappoint on delivering for our out-of-town guests."

  • "We started dining at this restaurant a few months ago. We really enjoy having a local place that serves good pastas and pizzas, and this is it. We all enjoyed our meals and the service was very nice. We took advantage of half price bottled wine night as well."

  • "Rosemary's Thyme is not a new restaurant, and it's starting to show its age. We were seated in a booth where all the seats were ripped, so you had no choice but to sit on torn vinyl. The menu has a lot of options, but perhaps too many. Aside from the fact that the place has an identity disorder (is it mediterranean? italian? who knows!) there are too many options, so they clearly specialize in nothing - and it shows. Our meals were OK, but nothing to write home about. We both ordered a daily special and they were decent, just nothing memorable. Service is really slow. There's no host staff - the servers seat the guests, which makes no sense. The server was also not familiar with the menu nor the drink options. We likely won't return."

  • "M husband loves a good flat pizza, and this was only our 2nd time dining at this restaurant. We really enjoy it. We had 2 pizzas and a pasta for 4 of us and that was plenty. We also shared a large salad first which was wonderful. Although we've only been there a few times the food is very consistent and the service is too."

  • "Very disappointed in the restaurant.. it doesn't live up to reputation on OpenTable.. needs a good cleaning.. many servers but service is poor.. our appetizers were served after our salad course.. lamb was served as dried-up chips of meat saturated with the restaurant's "special sauce" made of tomato sauce and yoghurt.. it appears to me the servers have been spiking the reviews on OpenTable. We spent $160 for 5 people, and experienced a much better meal for the same price at Range in DC."

  • "This is such a gem! I didn't realize that it was tied to the Rosemary's Thyme in Dupont before I came in, but you can certainly tell by the quality of the food- it's delicious! We had a mix of offereings between breakfast and lunch and I had the Manti which has the most AMAZING sauce! I was attracted by the Turkish offerings as I don't find many places in VA that have them and would certainly come back next time I'm looking for those items. Also, the staff is SUPER friendly and were wonderful with our 2 kids. HIGHLY recomend!"

  • "We have been there several times and the food is always amazing. Good selection and nice ambience. Service can be great on a Friday night but spotty on the weekends. Make reservations for weekend nights -- it gets crowded and there is a wait."

  • "The service wasn't that great. It was on the slow side. The food wasn't bad, but I'm afraid Artie's and the other Great American restaurants set the bar high in every way with better service, better food, and better ambience."

  • "We eat at Rosemary's often and love their food. However, we went on Mother's Day for brunch and had an ok experieince. Our waitress was unwelcoming and barely attended to our table. We had to ask a waitress that we knew to keep bringing us refills and cream. Then we had to wait 1 hour and 15 min. for our food as they mentioned the kitchen was backed up. Then our food was room tempature. It was nice to catch up with mom but the overall experieince was just ok. We will definately eat there again just never on a special occasion. Sorry Rosemary's:("

  • "I chose this spot for a saturday night dinner with the folks because my mom has recently become vegetarian. Rosemarys Thyme has a good selection of Vegetarian dishes. One of their specialties are these small appetizer plates (like Tapas). Ther service was great, the food came out very fast, and was hot and delicious. They seated us right way, it was a little noisy, but then, so are we. We had a great time, and felt very comfortable. They didn't try to rush us out, even when it was obvious they were closing they didn't seem to mind us taking our time leaving. A great Find!!!"

  • "Other reviews made it sound like a standard restaurant but it really is more like a cafe or bistro, so expect that kind of setting and not a fancy restaurant experience, which is fine if you set your expectations accordingly. That said the service was still very lacking even in this setting. I usually take with a grain of salt reviews that report poor service, but in this case they turned out to be fairly accurate. Had to ask multiple times for very basic things, some of which never received. Unapologetic server when I brought this up. That said the food was pretty good. Wasn't really a place I would be excited to go back to though."
