The food was great and we had an excellent waiter. He was great with the two young children we had with us and made suggestions/recommendations regarding the food. He was very attentive and always available when we needed him. The portion sizes were quite large and we all took "doggie bags" home. But even with that, all our food came out perfectly timed, and everything was spectacular! I had the stuffed mushrooms, and my boyfriend got the tiger shrimp. He even ate one of my mushrooms - even tho he hates mushrooms - and he loved it. Also, the baked cavatelli was phenomenal for someone like me - a self-proclaimed cheese addict, and we were really impressed by the portion sizes on both that and the pork chops! We didn't even have room, but forced ourselves to have the "bombolinis" (sp?), basically giant, fresh doughnut holes with the best dipping sauces ever. Made reservations for 8 people at 7:00 pm. we didn't get seated till after 7:30. I wanted to surprise my wife by getting to our table and having her see her kids there waiting. My husband and I love sitting outside when it's warm, enjoying not only the delicious food but also the pretty flower boxes and peoplewatching. We love the inside as well and often come for a late lunch or early dinner - our favorites are the Caesar Salad, Mussel appetizers and the Linguine Mariaio (clams in White Sauce over pasta). However, this time we came with our children and grandchildren to celebrate an early Mother's Day dinner on Saturday evening. Lorenzo was our waiter and he took great care of us adults as well was wonderful with the kids. We all loved our meals - the Salmon and Tilappia Specials were super tasty and hugely generous. The bread is delicious with the oil, cheese and pepper. I tried a pomegranate martini which was tasty but a bit pricey.
My complaint is the acoustics. It is difficult to hear one another. Music is piped in and not at all necessary and just adds to the chaotic noise.

The restaurant was packed and the atmosphere was casual and fun. Our server was very attentive and gave us time to make decisions about our dinners. In spite of being very busy, we didn't feel rushed. My tilapia was excellent as was our caesar salad. My wife's entree was not what she expected so our server encouraged her to order another entree which was an excellent eggplant parmesan. It was the first time dining with both of our children (4 1/2 and 13 months) and the staff couldn't have been better. Since we had an early reservation, we were able to request one of the booths. The few booth they have are provided along the side wall, and provide a more intimate dining experience with extra room. I recommend trying one of their specialty cocktails from the bar. From the dining menu, the square noodles and the Veal Parmesan are recommended. Vanilla gelato for dessert was nice, but nothing special. The bruschetta was very good, as were the soups and salads. I had the pasta with peas and pancetta, it was delicious. My husband had the rigatoni, that was good as well.
