We have enjoyed it in New York, Atlanta and Miami. The food is fabulous, creative, and beautifully presented. The Pomegranate Margaritas are out of this world. Nice location in the Financial District. Great bar. We were in a carnivorous mood and both the boneless short ribs and mixed grill dishes were succulent and savory. Special mention also goes to the guacamole, prepared table-side (with heat to order), as well as the drinks list. We both had the La Suprema margarita and it was the best I've had in ages.
The bar side was hopping (it was a Thursday night), but the hostess thankfully sat us far enough away so that the noise wasn't a distraction. The decor is modern as is the piped in music. Frankly, both were a welcome change from the usual "Mexican theme park" approach. This is it. Nice atmosphere. Quality, fresh food that is well made using great, authentic recipies. The service was friendly, attentive and professional. Our drinks were properly made and tasted wonderful.Everything and everyone from management to the busser was at the top of their game. We wanted to sit outside, they tried to seat us at a sun-blasted table but I pointed out the shaded one and they changed with no problems.
Guac is great but pricey. Apparently the watermelon juice water stuff was good (didn't try it). Had the camarones skewer on rice and, although simple, very delicious (and big shrimp!)

The only obstacle initially, is the pricing, which is a bit staggering for Mexican food. We had a great server today but that's not always the case. The one thing that always surprises me is that they are never willing to do anything off-menu. One of our table mates asked about getting a combo of their tacos and was told "we don't do that". Period. So, that's a bit off-putting. There's a little bit of an attitude in general. It's a pricier and hipper "mexican" restaurant so maybe they think they don't have to accomodate their patrons. Our dinner was very good. We had the chicken tortilla pie, beef short ribs and crab enchiladas. Everything was cooked perfectly. We received attentive service.
