Diner Reviews
  • "This was our second time at RM's. Enjoyed it just as much as the first. Good food & good service. Price is a little high for Mexican food but reasonable for the area (LA Live). I would recommend especially before going to Staples Center for an event."

  • "Had diner April 12, at 4:45. Chips and salsa arrived soon and were very good. Waiter was slow getting to us after that. The main course arrived a few miinutes after the appitizer, much too soon. We sat with emply plates long, wating for the check much too long. All in all the food was ok, but the service was poorly timed."

  • "Delicious mexican food with great service. The guacamole justifiably has an outstanding reputation. Carnitas were great too and the design of the restaurant was beautiful with lots of energy from the patrons."

  • "The person assigned to our table was dressed like a bus boy. I loved the food but disappointed by the service."
    Dined on 4/11/2014
  • "The service is always friendly and there's a good selection of items on the menu."
    Dined on 4/4/2014
  • "The quality of food here was excellent - Guacamole made fresh at your table, hand-made corn tortillas to accompany the soft tacos. A class joint, and the prices reflect the same. It is LA Live, after all, so expect to pay a premium. maragritas are $13. 2 drinks and dinner will set you back $50.00 plus. For Mexican food? When it is this tasty, you don't complain!"

  • "The food and atmosphere were great, service was a little slow. Now the place was packed with LA King’s fans and Jim Jefferies concert goers so we will cut them some slack."
    Dined on 3/29/2014
  • "Food is quite good. Service is friendly and prompt even on nights the Lakers are playing."
    Dined on 3/25/2014
  • "It's a little expensive for a Mexican meal, but the guacamole and pomegranate margaritas are worth if."
    Dined on 3/25/2014
  • "They make fresh Guacamole in front of you, and fresh chips with salsa. The other dishes are of very big portion, so I would recommend for 3 people to share 2 plates and the guacamole, otherwise there will be too much left over."
    Dined on 2/19/2014
  • "Rosa's is the most expensive Mexican restaurant I have ever seen. However, it is also the best Mexican food I have ever eaten."
    Dined on 3/13/2014
  • "Great Food and Service. Try the Gauc. it was fantastic."

  • "I've often wondered if, when booking through open table, restaurants feel they have the right to give you the worst table in the house. At Rosa, this was the case. While the food is always delicious, especially the table side guacamole, our last visit found us next to a semi-abandoned storage nooks, hidden by ill-suited screens and a wait station that seemed to be where neglected glasses and napkins came to be forgotten. This, and the open door to a cabinet where tablecloths and other odd items, made for less than great surroundings. The ambiance is ultimately dependent on what event might be going on at LA LIve. Rowdier on sporting days, louder on concert days, so research accordingly. But, no matter what, food is always terrific."

  • "We took some friends to Rosa Mexicano before the Lakers game, they had not been there before. We had a really good dinner, flank steak from the Gluten Free menu. Really good food and really good service as before, we will be back."
    Dined on 2/28/2014
  • "Service was outstanding and the food was amazing. I love this restaurant and always will visit Rosa Mexicano LA Live. Thank you and God Bless the Rosa Mexicano staff."

  • "food pricey for what you get - ordering drinks are a rip off - drinks come in SMALL glasses"
    Dined on 2/15/2014
  • "We wanted a quick bite before an event at Staples center and ended up here after finding an opening in open table. Food was mediocre, service was very slow, but they did have a surprisingly decent beer list. It's ok for a quick bite if you're at LA Live, but I wouldn't make any effort to go back."

  • "4 pre-fixed menu + special Vday gift included. Seated right away and given pre-fixed menu. Options; Starters chips with guacamole, Appetizers, Entree, Dessert + specialty drink. Chips & salsa were placed on table and our waiter came to take drink and appetizer order. We sat with our drinks & appetizers and server who prepared the guacamole went to every table but ours. By the time we finished our appetizers our entrees were out. Finish that & then our togo bag was place on the table with dessert we didn't choose along with the check. Yes, busy nite but was charged for whole pre fixed menu. Didn't make a fuss, just paid the bill. Had a show to catch. NO guac, no choice of dessert & no Vday gift that was given to the other tables."

  • "Going to "Rosa Mexicana" was everything we, my boyfriend & I expected and more. I am usually REALLY picky when it comes to customer service; however, there wasn't a single thing I could complain about. As soon as we sat down our waitress greeted us with a friendly smile, answered any questions we had, attentive, very educated about the menu, and recommended delicious plates. As an appetizer, ordered the "guacamole," which was made right in front of us, with ingredients we chose. As an entree I chose "Pollo Pibil" & my boyfriend ordered "tapiqueña de carne asada." Both very recommendable & delicious. Overall, we left very satisfied and had an awesome experience. Two thumbs up."

  • "Awesome service, awesome food.! Get the skirt steak and frozen margarita..."

  • "Great food! Margaritas are very strong, which was nice that they weren't skimpy on the alcohol. But they aren't the big margaritas you'd get at a local mexican restaurant. This is a gourmet mexican - but awesome food!"

  • "This was the first time trying Rosa Mexicano, L.A. Live. We used to regulars at Union Square but we have been let down a few times when going to other locations. We tried the DineLA prix fixe menu and every single dish was outstanding. My wife loved the tortilla soup and my ceviche was fresh and full of flavor. The skirt steak was tender and tasty. The sides all complemented the dish perfectly. The short rib enchilada hit the spot, but it was even better than usual. Flan and ice cream were the perfect ending to a great night. The service was impeccable and discrete. We will definitely be coming back. Rosa Mexicano L.A. Live, has definitely set a new standard for for the franchise."

  • "I've been to Rosa's several times in the past, usually on a weekend. Maybe because it was a Monday they didn't seem to have sufficient wait staff, which impacted the timeliness an quality of service. The food was delicious as always!"

  • "We enjoyed the food. It was very delicious. Definitely will go back again."

  • "I love Rosa Mexicano becuase it's not the typical Mexican Food that makes you feel greasy and heavy when you leave! It feels very authentic! I eat here whenever I am in Los Angeles! Brought my boyfriend here for his first time and he loved the guacamole made fresh at the table. They just changed their menus and everything was perfect."

  • "I made reservations for dinner for 12/31/13 before attending the Lakers game. We were promptly seated in a comfortable booth. Our waiter was courteous and attentative. He brought us complimentary blended margarita's when our drink order was taking longer than expected. The food was great - fresh and flavorful. Prices were reasonable and a great value to end 2013. Will definately go again and recommend to friends."

  • "Loved Rosa Mexicano for NYE dinner at LA Live center in central Los Angeles. Great vibe, great food, awesome margaritas. Place was packed (but we had reservation so were seated immediately). Two of us shared guacamole and chicken enchilada dinner. Plenty of food. For us, anything more would have gone to waste. Moderately priced for location and NYE. They did offer a $40 fix prixe menu, also, with appetizer, entree and dessert which, given the holiday, we thought very reasonable. Highly recommended."

  • "I was expecting "run of the mill" but was pleasantly surprised by the organic sangria, hamachi tacos and their interpretation of crab enchiladas. the dj was a nice touch but was a little too loud for the venue (we had a toddler in our party). Service wasn't as attentive as we would have preferred or expected given our early arrival and the prices were, of course, exorbitant given the date of our visit, but $43 for a pitcher of sangria was ridiculous."

  • "This restaurant is a gourmet Mexican restaurant. The food is a step above. Some very unique flavors. Loved the Chicken Tortilla pie and the guacamole."
