bad dining experience that could haunt you while you're at the performance--the food is always top-notch, which is tough to find with
Mexican food. I met someone once who had been a server there and she said she never saw a kitchen as clean as Rosa Mexicana.
We always come back, especially for special occasions. They held the table for over 1/2 hour until most of the party arrived. Didn't have any trouble and the staff was very accommodating and nice. Food was excellent and the served hot and as specified. Our reservation was a smart idea, since this remains a hot spot. Quacamole made to our liking at the table with refreshing specialty drinks began the lovely evening. The fish special drew our attention and it was cooked perfectly. If you're not a fan of hotter spices, they are happy to tone it down or put sauces on the side. The exotic variety of sorbets and ice creams was a light and tasty end to an excellent dinner. Warm inviting atmosphere. Attentive wait staff. Also the ability to seperate family diners from romantic diners (we have been both) without making us feel like second class citizens. Extra points for that! The Duck appetizer was among our favorite finds this visit, and the sangria and tres leche cake are among the best we've ever had. It is bright, cheery, with a tremendous view. AND, the food is tremendous. The guacamole (made table-side) is tasty, and the margaritas are A-one.
The ONLY negative (if can call it that) attribute is that, if you come here looking for the typical Mexican fare of tacos, tamales, burritos, chimichangas, etc., you won't find it. Yes, there are three different types of enchiladas (and they are great), but the menu is more of an up-scale Mexican fare. It is filling; it is tasty; it is up-scale.

I enjoyed my experience at the Linoln Center location. The food was delicious and the waitstaff was excellent.
