A word from Rosa Mexicano - Lincoln Center
Our highly anticipated second Rosa Mexicano location opened in July 2000. Just steps away from Lincoln Center, this impressive David Rockwell-designed space features a 30-foot iridescent blue tile water wall that spans both levels of the restaurant and is adorned with 240 miniature cliff divers. Here you’ll also find a dramatic “floating” staircase made of orange and red terrazzo slabs and backlit panels behind the bar embedded with rose petals. Awarded “Best Restaurant 2000” by Interiors Magazine, this unique, contemporary look ushered in a new era for us at Rosa Mexicano.Continued

  • "Particularly enjoyed the prix fixe Passover menu. A feast"

  • "Its a perfect spot eat for date night. I love this location been hear many times"

  • "Same 'ol, same 'ol for Rosa Mexicana which is a good thing. You can count on the guacamole (nice that they can prepare it mild and give others at the table the ingredients to make it more spicy.) This place is a madhouse in the evening as many wait for tables if they did not reserve in advance. With a reservation however, you are seated right away, even if you get lost finding the place (as we did despite past trips) and arrived a half hour late. Entrees are numerous and appetizers are filling. "

  • "We had a delightful Modern Mexican dinner at Rosa Mexicano. The wait staff was delightful and the food was fresh and interesting. They even had a Passover menu."
    Dined on 4/15/2014
  • "I love the relaxed feel of this place. The fresh guacamole was favorite of the table! Service was well-timed and friendly. Brunch was affordable.""
    Dined on 4/13/2014
  • "The food was delicious, but the service was just ok -- which is unusual given my previous visits here. Things seemed particularly busy, so perhaps it's just a one-off...but not refilling drinks over the course of an hour is a bit inexcusable. "

  • "The food was amazing and received great service. Everyone was kind and willing to help. It was a little hard to hear others, but then again we were seated by a very large group. Other than that, everything was well done. This restaurant is a bit pricy, but worth it for those special occasions."
    Dined on 4/14/2014
  • "The food was very good and creative but the service was terrible and slow."
    Dined on 4/14/2014
  • "Rosa Mexicana makes a fab guacamole. Period. My friend and I were sorely disappointed in the prep and quality of everything else we ate. The restaurant has a great location across the street from Lincoln Center. If the overall quality of the food improved (higher quality produce, cleaner flavors, a more upscale spin on Mexican cuisine) I would be a frequent diner."

  • "Order the GUACAMOLE SHOW! So tasty. Upscale Mexican excellence. Very consistent. Dined at the location in Washington DC. Excellent (service was better there tho)"
    Dined on 3/17/2014
  • "The guacamole is excellent! You MUST get this when visiting any one of their locations."
    Dined on 4/13/2014
  • "Great upbeat restaurant in Lincoln Center area. Good food, great ambiance and the tableside preparation of guacamole was well worth the visit. A real fun place to eat before or after the show."
    Dined on 4/13/2014
  • "I was disappointed by the flavor of the food. Most was bland and left a lot to be desired. Some of the rice was hard....The guacamole is good, but sadly that's not enough to make me return."
    Dined on 4/13/2014
  • "Reliable Rosa. I come here for the classics. Frozen pomegranate margaritas, fresh tableside guac, and the best mole enchiladas in town. The service is great. The dining room is spacious and comfortable, and the views of Lincoln Center are awesome. It's not "cheap mexican" (i.e. taco truck prices), but you get a lot more bang for your buck than the countless run of the mill mexican joints around town. Great outdoor patio and a cheap and lively happy hour. Be careful, though, the margaritas are STRONG!"
    Dined on 4/13/2014
  • "I had a lovey time. Food was great. I had the budin - which I recommend. The guacamole is fantastic. It was made fresh to order. I could not get enough of it !"
    Dined on 4/12/2014
  • "Definitely don't pass up their table-side guacamole! It's perfect!"
    Dined on 4/12/2014
  • "Everything about Rosa Mexicana is wonderful. From the incredible service to the amazing food to the ambiance. There is nothing missing here. For me it is about the perfect place to eat lunch or dinner. Watching as they make the guacamole and then eating it!!! Just the greatest. I cannot rave enough about Rosa Mexicana! Outstanding. Oh and each and every staff member is friendly, and very helpful. The service is out of this world."

  • "Always have the guacamole made at the tableside and margarita. the flavors of the dishes are intense and well balanced."
    Dined on 4/10/2014
  • "Great place. A little pricey but definetly worth it."

  • "This place is so busy I thought it must be a sure fire winner. I was so wrong. It is incredibly noisy but that's forgivable given how big the place is - what's UNforgiveable was the halfhearted lacklustre welcome on arrival and the generally charmless service throughout. I don't really want to have to deal with a noticeably unhappy server throughout a meal. The food was no better than so so and at times pretty awful...a big pile of stodgy mushroom sauce suffocating my filet mignon like a giant lump of mud. I'm left wondering how on earth this place stays so busy...it was packed out with apparently happy diners so maybe it's just me. I just don't get it!"

  • "We have been going to Rosa Mexicano since it opened. Lincoln Center is obviously the draw and i think management has taken its success for granted. I can't ever remember sending back two glasses of Malbec at any restaurant. I can't ever remember having half full Margaritas and seeing the waiter go to the bar to get more to top them off. I cant ever remember the shrimp skewer over rice having COLD rice! I can't ever remember the short ribs being dry, rubbery and inedible. The staff is great, pleasant and accommodating, but that's not enough to get us to return and spend our hard earned money on less than mediocre food."
    Dined on 4/9/2014
  • "Our waiter was able to suggest changes in a dish to accommodate my tastes. I was impressed with the flexibility and willingness to please. It was delicious!"
    Dined on 4/8/2014
  • "very authentic mexican food. Side table guacamole was outstanding. tables are close together, noise level is energetic. Drinks were very expensive."

  • "Wonderful guacamole!!!!!!!!!!!! Great Margaritas!!!!!!!!! Beef Enchilladas with Mole Fabulous!!!!!!!!!!!!! YUMMY CHURROS!!!!!!!!!!!!!!"
    Dined on 4/7/2014
  • "It's not worth sitting through the ear-splitting noise of this restaurant, to have the great guacamole. We were seated on the first level in the back, which was slightly better than the cacophony of the bar area. And I checked out the upstairs, which was equally unbearable. The food was good, the service was ok, but I'll never go back."
    Dined on 4/3/2014
  • "Noisy ambience especially around theater hours. Food is pricey and just okay"
    Dined on 4/3/2014
  • "Very good Mexican Food very near Lincoln Center. Service is quick or you can linger. Very good quacamole prepared table side. Nice lunch menu before a matinee."
    Dined on 4/2/2014
  • "If you like good mexican cuisine and are in the Lincoln Center area look no further. The table side guacamole is outstanding as are the main entrees. The cuisine is served hot and quickly with just the right amount of waiter involvement. The dining on the second level is scenic and quieter than the first floor which has the bar and noise of the entryway."

  • "We Have Enjoyed This Restaurant Many Times And They Never Disappoint. The Lincoln Center Location Is Our Favorite. Individual Pitchers Of Delicious Sangria Was The Highlight For Me This Visit:)"
    Dined on 3/29/2014
  • "We came here for a pre-show lunch on a Sunday. We were seated a bit early which was very nice--we were a large group and accommodated right away. The food was delicious as always and the guacamole is top-notch. That is a major draw and never fails to disappoint. Service here is often spotty. I feel like there is always a point when your server forgets your table is still there. Once we asked if we could order (after waiting for a while) we got a little more attention. Overall I love this place and will go back, you just have to make sure they stay on top of you!"

  • "When visiting NYC, I usually try to hit this rosa mexicano at last once as it is so consistently excellent. Your MUST start with table side prepped guacamole. I've never left the restaurant disappointed. I'm happy that they are now in my hometown of San Francisco, though it does not have the same sexy vibe as the Lincoln center NYC location. Service is always spot on for this level of price point."

  • "I go to Rosa's all the time, sometimes its great, sometimes its ok, and sometimes it no good. This time it was okay. The guacamole is always the high point of the meal. The plantains were a bit cold, and my steak fajitas were a bit tough. Service was greatly lacking, I am pregnant and the waiter was not very accommodating in getting me a non alcoholic drink, even though I did end up with a strawberry lemonade eventually..."

  • "Fish and lamb tacos were excellent. So was the skinny marguerita. Freshly made by the table guacamole was delicious."
    Dined on 3/29/2014
  • "My husband and I went with our sophisticated daughter and all of us had a fantastic meal. My husband is notoriously impossible to please, so this was fantastic! We made a reservation, walked in, were seated immediately, and had drinks and guacamole within minutes on a busy Saturday night. We then relaxed and had a wonderful evening. The wait staff were friendly and informative, there when needed, and not pushy at all. The guacamole and pomegranate frozen margaritas cannot be missed!!"

  • "The people who work at Rosa Mexicano are very good with attention to service. The food was not as good and very expensive. The guacamole was okay but really flavorless and expensive. Seating was uncomfortable. We felt like the table was just placed in a main crossroad of where the server station was which was uncomfortable along with being set beside a large party of very loud people."
    Dined on 3/28/2014
  • "Great fish tacos at this next to Lincoln Center site. Friendly wait staff."
    Dined on 3/26/2014
  • "My daughter and I enjoyed everything about our dinner experience. The food was excellent and our waiter was attentive and charming. We will definitely come again when we attend Lincoln Center."
    Dined on 3/27/2014
  • "Overall great dining experience. Fresh guacamole a favorite. We also loved coconut mojitos . Enchiladas were excellent, only dis appointment was the quesadilla ,it was bland with very little chicken or any filling."

  • "Always fantastic food and service. Been here 10+ times and always expectational service!"

  • "With Guacamole to die for and skirt steak skillet that melts in your mouth - Rosa Mexicano is always a treat when we visit New York City. The restaurant was packed even on a 26 degree Wednesday evening. Fantastic fun spot for groups!"
