"I have been to other Rosa Mexicano locations and although the ambiance is fine at this location, it's not as contemporary as the others. I always enjoy the freshly made guacamole, and the service was very good despite the restaurant being at capacity on a busy Saturday evening. The seafood empenada appetizer was also quite tasty but our entrees were not as good as I'd hoped them to be."

"Do NOT go here. Typically love this place and thought I'd try the 1st ave. Rosa. Took thirty minutes to get our margaritas. We ordered spicy guacamole and it was mild, and I ordered chicken on a skewer with veggies over rice, only to send it back twice and then not eat altogether because it was pink inside!! Never returning."

"Food is fantastic, not traditional Mexican food. Mexican with a trendy twist. If your looking for atmosphere and a good bar science, make the trip down to the Union Square location. That one has a huge waterfall and is much more open and airy. This location was very small and dark. Food was the same, I'd recommend the guacamole. But of your spending this much for dinner, go to Union Square."
