Rosa Mexicano- BostonGreat food, very noisyTry lunch, or eat outside, if you want a quieter experience6/14/2013 12:00:00 AMSweet sixteen at Rosa Mexicano!Perfect place for a small sweet sixteen bash -- festive and fun. The ambiance feels hip and sophisticated, and the food is
upscale Mexican -- very good, esp. excellent guacamole and fun drinks. I highly recommend this restaurant for a lively night in the city. New Seaport location is fabulous.6/6/2013 12:00:00 AMI thought I didn't like guacamole. My husband ordered the 'famous' guac that is made fresh tableside. I've tasted guacamole before, but never really cared for it. Since I do like avacado plain, I decided to try it. I ended up eating more of it than my husband did. So fresh, somewhat chunky. No pureed green mess here! We also got the Ceviche sampler. Everything was so good.
Entree was Pescado Pibil (skillet style). It was good, very fresh. Just right after all those chips and guacamole. My entree came with Mexican Street Corn. I have never had it before, but now I want to try and make it at home. Such a yummy surprise!
Upscale mexican that my husband and I thoroughly enjoy for special date nights.5/28/2013 12:00:00 AMAwesome guac!!!!!Best guacamole I've tried in a restaurant! Food was very good, a little pricey but it is ok for a special occasion I guess! Kind of Authentic Mexican food (I'm mexican)5/27/2013 12:00:00 AMFinally! Finally, after 5 years in the Boston area we've found a Mexican restaurant we can love. The guacamole, made to order, was fantastic and the watermelon/tuna ceviche was to die for. Also, service was great - no complaints at all.5/25/2013 12:00:00 AMAmazing Night!I have been to Rosa Mexicana multiple times before and every time has been amazing, the service, food, drinks, and atmosphere are all great!! I would recommend this place to anyone, as long as you like American Mexican! We had the best time!! I recommend the Sangria & Fish Tacos they are amazing plus the guac is outstanding, and made to order at your table!! Great date night, girls night, or work outing!5/21/2013 12:00:00 AMGraduation LunchMade a reservation here during the busy Boston weekend for graduations. The service was great, food fresh and not the same old Mexican blah that seems to be everywhere. The desserts and drinks were Delish !!! Only comment was the music was too loud and when the restaurant started to get busy it was distracting and you had to shout when talking. Loved the design and the wall waterfall. Seaport location is great ~ Will be back again !!!5/18/2013 12:00:00 AMBrunch with flairWe enjoyed a number of new flavors as well as some old stand-bys during our brunch. The guacamole is made fresh table-side for a truly fresh appetizer. The specialty drinks were delicious, and the french toast amazing. The decor is young and fresh, and the water wall is beautiful! Definitely a wonderful experience.5/18/2013 12:00:00 AMGreat gluten-free menuOur party of four had only one non-celiac diner so it was great to have a choice of delicious menu items to choose from that were gluten-free.5/18/2013 12:00:00 AMGreat spicy mexican food andGreat spicy mexican food and margaritas. The specialty guacamole wasbthe best!5/14/2013 12:00:00 AMWe had early reservationsWe had early reservations (5:30pm) and found the service to be very friendly and attentive with great recommendations for fist time diners at Rosa Mexcicano. The food and drinks were excellent and we look forward to returning to repeat the experience5/13/2013 12:00:00 AMNYC Classic in BostonWhile this does not match my experiences I have had in NYC, it is still one of the better Mexican restaurants in Boston and one of the few upscale ones. Atmosphere is top notch and the food is pretty solid.5/5/2013 12:00:00 AMVery friendly and accommodatingVery friendly and accommodating staff. Enjoyable lunch and Dinner
We look forward to our next visit to Boston and to the Rosa Mexicano!4/27/2013 12:00:00 AMThe waitstaff at Rosa MexicanoThe waitstaff at Rosa Mexicano in Boston was great. We brought our daughter who is a picky eater and they were very helpful in getting her what she wanted. The guacamole is great as is the queso fundido. I enjoyed the frozen pomegranate margarita!4/18/2013 12:00:00 AMThe food was good but I foundThe food was good but I found some of it really salty. But definitely a "must go" restaurant.4/8/2013 12:00:00 AMThe food is outstanding, thoughThe food is outstanding, though I think high priced for what you get despite being in Boston.4/6/2013 12:00:00 AMFood was good, waitstaff wasFood was good, waitstaff was attentive, but front of house needs some attitude adjustment. We were told wait time was at least 45 min. but we were able to find lots of availability on OpenTable. We made a reservation on our phones and got seated right away, but not without some blatant crabbiness on the part of the hostess. The initial greeting into the restaurant took away from an otherwise pleasant dining experience.4/5/2013 12:00:00 AMWe thoroughly enjoyed allWe thoroughly enjoyed all aspects of our meal; the service was very good. When the dessert took a bit longer to arrive they immediately apologized and said it would be comped. In fact, we hadn't complained, we were too busy chatting to even notice that it wasn't on the table.
We will definitely return - can't wait to have more of their table side guacamole.3/31/2013 12:00:00 AMI'm not a huge Mexican FoodI'm not a huge Mexican Food fan, mostly due to my dislike of cilantro, but this place is amazing! I have been here twice, and both times the food was great.3/30/2013 12:00:00 AMThe service was fantasticThe service was fantastic and so was the guacamole! We went for lunch on a wednesday and the crowd was very energetic!3/27/2013 12:00:00 AMThe food and style are great. The food and style are great. The prices were a bit high, but the pomegranate margaritas and the handmade guacamole were terrific.3/23/2013 12:00:00 AMGreat restaurant week experienceHad a great time here! I love that they make the guacamole in front of you (a must). I love that this place has more than just your everyday tacos and burritos. I had a the shrimp skewer served over the most delicious rice. I loved it. And don't forget to have a yummy pomegranate margaritas. Overall a great place.3/22/2013 12:00:00 AMThis place was great! TheyThis place was great! They make the guacamole right in front of you and the food was very good!3/21/2013 12:00:00 AMEverything was on point fromEverything was on point from start to finish. The table-side guacamole was to die for, drinks were fresh (no sugary syrups), and entrees were well-prepared and well-portioned. Prices are higher than what one might typically associate with a Mexican restaurant, but I think the quality of the food warrants it. The churros w/3 dipping sauces were such a treat. Even the coffee was excellent! While Rosa's is a chain, they seem to take their food and service very seriously.3/16/2013 12:00:00 AMExpectations Not MetAs a frequent diner at Mexican restaurants, I figured I would give Rosa Mexicano a try. While the ambiance was nice and location ideal, I was disappointed by the small portion size of our meals and the disproportional high prices. Our table ordered the table-side guacamole that they are supposedly known for, yet it was nothing to rave about. Our margaritas were served in non-traditional margarita glasses, which we all found to be bizarre. I had made reservations for Saturday night earlier in the week, yet for some reason when we arrived at the restaurant, our table was not prepared and we had to wait to be seated. I will not be going back to Rosa Mexicano. There are many better options for Mexican food in Boston, even in the seaport area.3/9/2013 12:00:00 AM
