  • "Unique setting and menu. Perfect for a casual or business lunch."

  • "The food was amazing. The heirloom tomato gespaco was incredible and the waitstaff/kitchen was extremely accommodating with my dietary restrictions. The ceviche was slightly disappointing but only because I've had better ceviche from this chef. This chef sets an extremely high bar."

  • "Our party of 6 was already in a festive mood (birthday celebration of one person) so it made the restaurant better. The meals were good - some better than others like the masitas de puerco, the shrimp (too watery) and pollo a la brasa (dry) ...not so much. Mojitos with pomegranate juice were a hit, and the short wine list had well-chosen wines so that helped . The waitress was sweet and attentive....when she got a chance to be. Maybe a Sunday afternoon at 2 p.m. is not such a good time because there were other tables with customers and she was the only wait staff we saw: not her fault. As a Cuban-American, I miss my Mami's food, and this was not her's, but not bad if you want good black beans and tostones with a mojito!"

  • "We enjoyed the meal and the atmosphere very much !!! We are Cuban and thought this was a great Cuban inspired meal... They had run out of the dessert we wanted so a bit disappointed...but we will definitely go again !"

  • "Another Graces gem. Delicious food and drinks. Pricey if have no limits but completely reasonable for two on a Friday night. Good took a little long to get to the table but overall great experience. The Cubano is a great sandwich, as well as the Calle Ocho."

  • "Tried Rosa Blanca after reading Cooking Light recommendation, and it did not disappoint! Classy atmosphere, attentive servers, and attention to detail in food preparation and presentation. Tortilla egg dish was scrumptious with touch or cilantro and peppers. Side of fresh avocado enhanced with lime zest. Guava pastry melts on tongue. Coffee and expresso perfectly prepared. What a find on our first trip to Philadelphia!!"

  • "Four of us met for many mojitos and designed our own tasting menu. They are from NY so they arrived with their own baggage about Philly restaurant scene. Impressed and nothing bad to say about variety and taste of all the dishes we ate and we tried almost the entire menu. Empanadas, cubano, chicken and ropa vieja were all stand outs. Only thing I can write as general feedback is portions could and should be larger. I will return!"

  • "Loved this restaurant. It brought back lots of childhood memories! Went bak the next day for breakfast and had an awesome, huge cuban sandwich with authentic cafe con leche. The dinner the night before was really good! My husband is now hook on croquetas de jamon. The complementary yuca biscuits with the guava jam is out of this world. My husband kept saying that I needed to learn how to make them at home. I'm already referring my friends to this restaurant. Definitely will go again when I'm in Philly"

  • "Food was mediocre and a little over priced. Service was mediocre especially since we were one of two parties in the restaurant. Not to the caliber of Jose Garce's other restaurants."

  • "All three of us became ill after eating lunch at this restaurant. We have dined here before and really enjoyed our dinners."

  • "Unfortunately, the food left a lot more to be desired. The fact that classic dishes like the rice and beans weren't done well and lacked flavor was a true disappointment. The drinks with freshly made purée however are fabulous... Just go for drinks, skip the food."

  • "As a Cuban American, I'm always looking out for some of the comfort food that I grew up with. Toaa Blanca fits the bill with most of their offerings. My 13 year old and I had lunch on Thursday 7/3. There are two eating areas, When you first enter you're in the diner/coffee bar section of the room, set up with stools and a selection of various pastries on display. We were greated by the hostess at the dining room entrance in the next section. The room is set up with tables and booths. We were promptly seated. Here is what we ordered and can recommend: fish ceviche, beef empanadas, yucca fries (really good), tostones, cheesy bread, and a classic Cuban sandwich. The mojitos are tasty. For dessert we each had the flan and cafe con leche."

  • "I was looking for something a little different for my son who is in culinary school. The staff was kind, the waiter was awesome and the food was amazing! We all ordered something different (there were 5 of us) and no one was disappointed. Highly recommend!"

  • "The perfect place for our bday celebration!! Everything was perfect!"

  • "My late mother, born in Havana's Vedado, would have enjoyed Rosa Blanca, a crisp update of the nostalgic Cuban diners you used to find on Bergenline Ave. in North Jersey or the Upper West Side. Ropa vieja and picadillo are neatly prepared as solid and not over-fatty soul food. The sandwiches are nicely matched meat-cheese-vegetable combos on sturdy 'ironed' bread with a good bite, though they won't help your diet. The rice, beans and other basics are smooth. The lamb stew is pleasingly balanced. Soups like the standard conch-and-coconut and the very savory special black-garlic and magically-poached egg complement the sandwiches for a full lunch. After four visits over six months, my brothers and I are in danger of becoming regulars."

  • "My wife and I are both major fans of Garces' establishments but we were really let down by the food and service. Total letdown compared to the former restaurant, Chifa."

  • " I was expecting the same quality of food that I expect from Amadas . The restaurant lacked good service. The quantity of the food is very small considering the price . We could not believe the amount of beans that were given to us for the "family style black beans " We ordered the fried platanos on the menu and got 3 plantains for $6 come on really ??! $2 a piece !!!! The food is very far from authentic and lacked the flavor that makes cuban food so delightful ! The service was absolutely terrible , waitress was very slow with no personality . We actually had to cancel our desert order after waiting 15 minutes for it. The good thing about this restaurant were the drinks ! I could only order 2 drinks , because my waitress was not around."

  • "We chose Rosa Blanca based on our love of Garce's many other restaurant achievements, however this one did not stand up to our other experiences. We had the tasting menu as we always do in his restaurants and everything was good but only 2 dishes stood out-- the smokey quacaumole and the suckling pig which we added onto the tasting menu. Our past tasting menu experience had us surprised and wowed wirh each course and there was no dessert or sweet offering to end the meal. We liked the ambience of the front of the restaurant-- light and open and the cucumber mojito was delicious but light on the alcohol. We might return, but not for the tasting menu."

  • "My party went to Rosa Blanco to celebrate Fathers Day. We were greeted warmly and seated promptly. Rosa Blanca has two dining areas, the outer area is bright with tropical colors and a wall of decorative rum bottles. The inner room is somewhat darker with wrought iron work around several banquettes, the ambience is that of a Cuban colonial hacienda. The food is Cuban and it is terrific. Rosa Blanca has an extensive drink list with several types of excellent mojitos. We had a great time and will definitely return."

  • "I went to Rosa Blanca at midday on a Sunday as part of a group of five. We all loved the mojitos (watermelon especially!). We started with empanadas and guacamole, both delicious. I ordered the amazing plantain casserole, which was served with a side of black beans. Everyone really enjoyed their own meal and everyone else's---lots of sharing at our table. David, our server was outstanding. He made great recommendations and was the perfect mix of friendly and professional. Can't wait to go back!"

  • "A few friends - out for dinner before going to a show... Started with a few fancy Mojito's- lots of good flavors to choose from (I had the water melon - very tasty). As we were going out we decided on a smaller meal - no apps.. But we all good a nice entree, and ordered the Suckling Pig for the table. Wow - is all I can say. All our dishes were tasty and more than adequate. Adding the suckling pig made sure no one was hungry. Then a nice strong cuban coffee to end the night. We all loved everything. Great night!"

  • "This was our third time to Rosa Blanca and it was just as phenomenal! They treat groups just as they do couples with the perfect amount of attention. The special was a succulent pig which was phenomenal!! Favorite restaurant in Philly!! They are also fantastic at accommodating me as I am gluten free!"

  • "This was the first time I tried Rosa Blanca. The server was excellent. The food was good although my friend didn't like it. The noise level was awful. I left the diner with a sore throat because I had to practically yell over the noise and the diner was only half full. I will not return or recommend the dinner unless the noise level changes."

  • "Enjoyable restaurant with very good service. Nothing stood out as stunning food wise - food was a reasonably priced but the portions were modest sized at best. Drinks were a good value when ordered for the table in a pitcher."

  • "We ate here early on a Monday evening and we were one of four tables. Our waitperson was outstanding, making informed suggestions based on my cow dairy allergy. She had a good sense of humor, was well spoken, and was quite accommodating. She took very good car of us during our visit. Specialty drinks were imaginative and perfectly ice cold! The guacamole with roasted pineapple sounded a bit strange, but thinking about island flavors, we went for it, and it was a true taste treat. My partner loved his tiny jamon croquettes. The octopus was a small portion and was a bit overwhelmed by the trio of peppers and onions under it. Could have been less peppers and more octopus please! Soups were delicious. Go there...we will again!"

  • "This is the third time I dine at Rosa Blanca and, as usual, the food is delicious but the service is terrible. Yesterday the drinks did no arrive until we had finished our main course. The waiter was apologetic, but explained that the person who makes the drinks was also waiting the tables outside!"

  • "As usual, the experience at a Garces restaurant was great. There are a lot of interesting foods and the staff was very knowledgeable. The favorite appetizer was the guacamole (one bowl is not big enough for a party of 4 - definitely order 2!) and the table also ordered several varieties of plantain sides - all were delicious. They do serve breakfast all day and the one downfall of the night was that some items are named the same on both the breakfast and dinner menu, so make sure to be clear which one you are ordering. Even though we received the wrong order (dinner when we ordered breakfast) the food was still fantastic and the server brought out the missing sides at no charge. "

  • "Fun, casual addition to the Garces line-up! Great mojitos, delicious Cuban comfort food, and a fantastic staff. The croquettes and sandwich selections were favorites. "

  • "My friend and I are taking a culinary tour and decided to try Cuban. Rosa Blanca was the right choice. The food was great! It was bigger than it looked on the outside which is always a pleasant surprise. Nice atmosphere. We felt a little under dressed though with jeans on. My first experience with Cuban gets two thumbs up!"

  • "Our son came home from the Army on leave before deploying for Afghanistan and loves Cuban food.We drove over 3 hours from Lancaster ,Pa which would have normally taken 2 hours on a friends recommendation. Got a little anxious about was this going to be worth it.Wow! This is hands down the best Cuban restaurant in the tri-state area. It was a little on the loud side but that was acceptable once the drinks and food starting coming to the table. It is a real dining pleasure to have everything from the cocktails to the appetizers to the entrees and desert to be totally awesome. The attention to detail. Flawless. The staff. Friendly and knowledgable. This is an example of getting it right in the restaurant business. Worth every penny spent."

  • "Rosa Blanca is by far my favorite CUBAN restaurant in Philadelphia..the ambience, service and food were outstanding. The empanadas, croquetas, tostones & yuca frita were absolutely DELICIOUS!!! Our entrees were better than we ever expected, Masitas de Puerco & Churrasco..chimichurri sauce was absolutely delicious. The service was excellent, it was quite a busy time at noon, however our server, ELISA, spent time with us, did not make us feel rushed and made some EXCELLENT recommendations. We will be asking for ELISA on our next dining experience at Rosa Blanca, she made it a wonderful dining experience.THANK YOU ELISA. We ended our meal with ELISA's recommendation.TRES LECHES and cafe con leche. What an AMAZING ending to a fabulous meal!!!!"

  • "This was our first visit to this Rosa's and we were very impressed with the food. We had met friends there we have not seen for some time and were VERY challenged in hearing one another. Although we were sitting in a booth, the surrounding noise was overwhelming and felt we needed to shout to be heard. Between the music being so loud and very bad acoustics, this is a terrible place to go if you actually want to talk with the folks you are eating with."

  • "Took my wife and two kids to brunch on Mother's Day. The food was AMAZING. The guacamole with smoked pineapple was the best I have every had eaten. The only thing better than food was the service. Our server was fun and made the meal even better. After brunch we went site-seeing and came back to get milk shakes to go. If the brunch was AMAZING the milk shakes were even better. Looking forward to my next visit."

  • "My mom and I (mothers day) arrive at our reserved time. They seat us at the worst spot in the joint. Right by the back near the kitchen, meanwhile there are booths aplenty open and other spots. I asked the cute young woman who brought us to the table if we could get another seat to which she said she would check and never did. Mom had the sea bass that she liked. It came with beans, no spoon and no rice (weird). I had a cuban sand that was average.Tierra columbianas is waaay better. I also had an empanada de pollo, very good and bacalaitos that were ok. cafe con leche was very good. service was ok, brian (or ryan) was nice. Oh and the whole time there were at least 2 booths empty...they couldve gained a star just based off of moving us. "
