I have eaten here several time and have never been disappointed. The service was prompt and friendly. For appetizers we had the Coconut & Conch Chowder and Guacamole Cubano w/ smoked pineapple. The soup was light and refreshing. The guacamole is very tasty. For the main course we had Ropa Vieja (shredded brisket stew), which is a very hearty comfort food stew...highly recommend. We also had Enchilada de Camarones (shrimp in pepper & tomatoe stew) which is a very good dish, but not the Ropa Vieja beats this dish hands down. My only suggestion is that they lighten up on the cilantro, which they tend to use a little too much of in every dish. We had pineapple upside down cake and custard for dessert. Both were very good.

I went with a friend to Rosa Blanca for lunch during restaurant week and the choices on the menu were excellent. The ropa vieja is to die for and the shrimp ceviche was excellent. In terms of dessert, the "Tembleque de coco" was an amazing wonderful surprise. I recommend this gem to everybody that like Cuban or Latin-American food. By the way try the Cuban sandwich, you will not be disapointed!

We met a friend here to celebrate the fact she landed a new job, which I indicated when making the reservation on Open Table. As soon as we arrived, the occasion was acknowledged by the hostess, which set the evening off on a good note. Our server was very knowledgeable & had a great suggestion to help us narrow the first course selections on the Restaurant Week menu...he called it Tapas Roulette, where the chef selects the apps, and it was a hit! Every entree was yummy...Ropa Vieja, Macietas & Churrasco. The mango custard desert was delicious, served with a candle to celebrate our friend's new job...a very nice touch. Thanks for the well-coordinated service & delightful evening, Rosa Blanca!

Not the best experience. My husband and i went this past sunday during restaurant week and I was really excited because the menu sounded great! The appetizers were great! They were small like tapas. For my entree i ordered the chicken dish, and it was not cooked fully. I sent it back and unfortunately it was still not cooked. Im not one to make a big deal about anything so I just didnt eat it any went on to dessert, which was small but tasty. The service was excellent & the rum selection is amazing. Definately go here if you love mojitos!!

Hispanic restaurant's are my favorite! After all, I was born, raise and live in Puerto Rico for 22 years. The dining experience was great! The food was very tasty, well seasoned, it was like dining in the caribbean. However, the mojitos were very dissapointing. I ordered a passion fruit mojito, it was "ok" but not amazing as expected from a Cuban place. My boyfriend ordered a pomegranate mojito that tasted more like juice. We decided to try a different drink rather than their signature mojito's. We try caipirinha a brazilian drink! It was excellent! Gret flavor, well balanced, one of the best I had. Hopefully the mojitos dissapointment was just a mishap but I probably won't order them again at Rosa Blanca.

All of our first plates were good, grilled octopus, ham croquettes, shrimp cerviche, guacamole. We had the ropa viejo and the cubed pork. We like Latin food and both entrees were yummy and interesting variations of classics. The dining room decor was too dark and kinda boring, not very Cuban or at least not in fun way. It was also very very noisey.

Me and a girlfriend visited this restaurant for restaurant week and we were really impress with the food. Everything was really good and we both enjoyed it. I order the Churrasco with fries which was excellent, the fries were season really well. My friend order the sweet plantain pastelon and she said it was really good also. The drinks were good I just wish the serving was bigger or that they were cheaper.

My spouse and I took advantage of this little gem during Philadelphia Restaurant Week and had lunch. Since it was Restaurant Week, there was a prefix menu, but there was still some delicious options. We enjoyed the guacamole (I'll definitely be adding grilled pineapple to my own homemade from now on), ham croquettes, brisket stew, and the Cubano sandwich; as well as the pineapple upside down cake and coconut custard. All the food had wonderful flavors that popped in your mouth. I'd also recommend the iced tea. Delicious! Our waiter was attentive and helpful, as well as very professional. The ambiance was fun, bright, and colorful. We'd definitely recommend this place to our friends and family.

We have been to Rosa Blanca for breakfast and done some take-out, but this was our first dinner experience. It was Restaurant Week, so we got hit with the $35 fixed price, but jumped into the courses. Every dish was special, not ordinary at all. We were with a friend who is a serious foodie and has eaten at some of the best restaurants in the world. He was also very impressed and enjoyed his meal. We will be back!

A Cuban diner, or at least that is how it's presented, has two distinct sections of seating. The front of the place has a layout just like a diner. There is counter seating, booths, and lots of chrome. In the back of the restaurant, it transitions to a more formal dining room. As with Garces other restaurants we frequent, we ordered the chef tasting. It was very reasonably priced at this location. Upon placing our order, within moments the food started coming. Guacamole, empanadas, croquettes, salad, prawns, fish, lamb, and dessert. I may have missed an item or two in this post. The chef tasting is a food immersion experience and highly recommended. Food was excellent, service was on point, drinks refreshing.

In walking in the feeling is very welcoming and inviting. Everyone had a smile. The decor was simple but hit the mark for a Latin inspired dining. Great food great selection and the menu had a little bit of everything. We got the chef selection menu which is a set price and gives you a wide taste of the menu. We had some to take home for a late night snack. Will visit again and recommend to friends.

I was pleasantly surprised by Rosa Blanca. After living in Cuba, this is the first place I've found that makes an authentic cafe cubano. The brunch was very reasonably priced and the waitress was very attentive. A good Cuban breakfast was a nice change from the stacks of french toast I usually gorge myself on at brunch. I will definitely be back to try their lunch and dinner menu.

I was and still am really excited about Rosa Blanca. It has a lot of potential. I've been to the restaurant twice now--for happy hour and for brunch. Happy hour was good: nice servers; good drink and food specials; cool ambiance. Brunch was just okay: the restaurant has an all-day breakfast menu, but the portions are small, especially for brunch in this city. The brunch service staff clearly didn't want to be there and they made sure we knew it.

We have been to Rosa Blanca several times now, but this was the first time for lunch. The front of the restaurant is like a diner, whereas the back is more like a traditional dining room. We prefer to sit in one of the booths in the back because of the more Cuban feel to it. We love the all-day breakfast and the sandwiches are huge and very tasty. The food and service is always very good made with high quality ingredients. The ambiance is relaxed and welcoming. The mojitos are delicious. This is a great casual dining option. Highly recommended.

I was a Chifa lover. I decided to try it's successor. I was thrilled when the amuse bouche was exactly the same one served at Chifa. Hallelujah! The warm cheese roll with the spicy/sweet spread was the perfect beginning. We sampled a lovely soup with coconut mild and conch, a nice ceviche and a wonderful wam chicken empanada. The only slight imperfection was the chocolate cake which had a less than perfect texture; it should really be warm with a gooey inside with cooked, caramelized bananas, rather than a few raw banana slices drizzled with a little caramelized sugar. However, the $3 warmed queso pastry at the end was to die for!! It was warm and light with a sweet glaze and heavenly filling. Perfect bookends. Check it out!!!

Early afternoon Sunday, menu options included breakfast and lunch. Since we were in the brunch mode, we took that route, which overall met our expectations. Although it states being a "Cuban" restaurant, many of the options were not authentic Cuban food. However, the food was tasty, and service was wonderful.

We made reservations to eat at Rosa Blanca after seeing the movie "Chef" and were excited to try Cuban sandwiches - we ended up having a really disappointing night. The noise level was so high that we couldn't hear each other talk even when yelling; the waiter started our meal by telling us that the kitchen was very backed up and our food would not be out for a long while; and then when the food arrived, it was dry and fairly tasteless. I hope management can fix some of these things as the restaurant idea seems like great fun!

The environment if the restaurant is nice, but not great. The good was good overall; the orange chicken was delicious. The problem is that my friend left his sunglasses on the table and when we called to retrieve them we were told 'no one found them.' So either the waiter or bus boy stole them since both of those people would have to see the table before new guests arrived. Needless to say I would never eat here again.
