  • Tucked away in an expected location

It took us a while to find this charming Italian restaurant tucked away in what seemed to be an industrial area. Twinkling lights showed us the way as we drove through the darkened area. We were not disappointed with the looks or ambiance of the cafe. The staff greeted us and offered us wine and appetizers. The food was delicious. The salad was included in the price of the main course and was plentiful and lightly dressed with oil and vinegar. The special of the night, yellow tail snapper was fresh and plated beautifully with a veggie and coos coos. The veal parmesian was a big size and was excellent. all in all, a great dining experience!

The escargot were in a tomato garlic broth- different but good. The chicken parmesan appeared to have a very small round of cheese tossed on top as if by accident --not melted all over the chicken. Tasty but disappointing . Service pleasant and timely --a definite improvement from past experiences. The system of writing every aspect of the order into an iPad has improved the issue of details [eg- extra bread for the escargot --I to 6 pieces to my partner's three. The dessert -of a cannoli = was very small. Cappuccino was cold.

While we were hopeful after reviewing the website the dinner experience turned out to be mediocre, at best. The waitress was a bit pushy, suggesting an incredibly greasy version of garlic bread and spent more time interacting with her ordering tablet than customers. The food, while innovative in concept fell short on flavor. While I don't mind paying for a good meal, this was simply overpriced, mediocre food.

We did not know about this restaurant but it was 10 minutes from home. Very small but very nice menu. Had nice dinner specials. Italian but with some interesting menu choices. Everything is priced separately. Bread not included but the garlic bread was great. Good Caesar salad for a small price. Entrees are in the mid 20s so not an inexpensive restaurant. Would definitely go back. Service was slow but I believe our server was new. Very friendly staff.

Romeo-n-Juliette's had been recommended to us by some friends and we decided to try...and very happy we did. Small, chef-owned restaurant with wonderful food. Chef and staff were very accommodating and service oriented. Don't let the location dissuade you...you will be making a mistake if you do. Will definitely return!!

Tables are very close each other. The hostess is not cooperate and would not allow us to change our table which was next to the entrance. We had to wait for them to set up our table because they didn't think we really did have a reservation. They checked the reservation list and after seeing our name on it decided to set up a table. They do not make you feel welcomed!

Just go! This place is spectacular. If you are a group of more than 4, I think it will be a bit of a challenge. With all that said, this is the best menu and the best food in all of the area. Get the fish; it is fresh and only available about three-quarters of the way through the night (this guarantees only fresh). Fret not, as the menu items are just as good. The meals come with the freshest of salads (prepared individually) and the main course sides are a fresh warm vegetable or a side of homemade pasta (I got both - they were perfect). If you are able, don't skip the deserts. They too are made just for you (the cheesecake - mmm). Trust me, you will make this a go-to spot on your list.

This is a hidden gem off the beaten bath. We have dined there three times now and not been disappointed! We have dined as a party of two, four and eight. Each experience was terrific. The food is so fresh and made with love. Everything we have tried on the menu or as specials has been delicious. Make note that it is a very small restaurant with no lounge or waiting area so no need to arrive prior to your reservation. Also only beer and wine is available, no cocktails.

The wine list is minimal. The service was quite sporatic the night we were there due to the fact that the two gentlemen that were waiting tables that evening could not keep up with the other larger tables in the small restaurant. Also when my fish special arrived, they prepared it improperly. So they took my guests meal and kept it warm in the kitchen and recreated my dish. The food was delicious. We will try the restaurant again.

  • Not your typical FL restaurant
    Chris
    Dined on 1/11/2014
Pleasantly surprised to find this gem "off the beaten path" as they say. The food was homemade, fresh, savory. The service was very good. I was in FL to celebrate my mother's 75th birthday during my parents' winter vacation. (We are from the northeast and quite used to good Italian). I was pleased to find a place that didn't ooze tourist trap. At our 6pm res, we were the first ones there! It was abuzz by 7pm, not typical for the early-bird crowd! The cafe could be hard to find. It's in what seems like the back end of an industrial park. Not a place for an after dinner stroll or even waiting for a table (make a reservation!). But a really great dining experience! If I lived in Jupiter, I'd definitely go back often.

My husband and I went to R&J's for our 30th anniversary because all the great restaurants we use to go to with any kind of tradition in Palm Beach County are no longer in existance. So we decided it was time to find a new place to make our new tradition spot! Had read quite a few reviews about R&J's so gave it a whirl. The experience was awesome down to the last morsel and drop of wine. We'll be back soon!!!!

Don't let the industrial neighborhood location discourage you; this place is a keeper. While the service can be a bit uneven, it's more than offset by the quality of the food. With its charming decor, you feel as if you're actually in a little "find," on a cobblestone side street in some small town in Italy. With perhaps 10 tables, it's hard to get a reservation, but worth booking in advance. The small size helps ensure fresh, perfectly prepared food from an always appealing menu. This place is truly a gem, and we sincerely hope they'll be around for a long long time!

Although we had been there a few times last year, this time was different ... much different. There were six of us and we felt we were being nickel and dimed at every turn. One diner sent their wine back because they thought it was too dry and requested another. They were charged for both glasses. The waiter asked if everyone wanted gorgenzola on their salads. Those who said yes were charged $1.25 extra. No one told us there was an extra charge. One couple split an order of salmon. There was an $8 sharing charge. They were also charged for an extra half-order of pasta. All in all, I had brought 4 new people there because I had enjoyed it in the past. Now, all 6 of us will never go back.
