  • "My black cherry cosmo that night was bad. It was all ice-slushy and bland, and the black cherries were just pathetic. Like wrinkled raisin-sized lumps. For the price I paid ($8.99) I was incredibly disappointed. Our server was nice but busy. We had to wait a lot. I do not see any incentive to return. To be fair, my friends enjoyed their Bellini, and we were seated pretty quick. Nice atmosphere for group parties. Convenient location."

  • "Waiter had tattoo on his arms (do not remember his name). He was a friendly server. However, his mannerism to other tables did not seem proper at times. Perhaps it was just not his night. He spilled drinks all over a customer. Then, when he was asked by another customer on where the washrooms are, he pointed his finger and asked the customer to wait while he was finishing cleaning up."

The turkey sandwich was a bit greasy and the seafood chowder was lacking some flavor. My dining partners had the veggie quinoa burger and they thought it was tasty but a tad cold. Other than that we enjoyed the night."

  • "I've now been to Rogue for my birthday party with group of 20 people, another person's b-day party 25 people, anniversary dinner and a lunch with a friend and brought my 10 month old baby. We've also done late night after dinner drinks in the bar area and every time this place has been perfect for all occasions. Very unique venue to be able to pull that off! Well done."

  • "Overall the the experience was great and our server was friendly, but it was fairly clear that he wasn't getting enough support to handle his section. There seemed to be a ton of hostesses and bussers working, but he was not getting much help from them clearing plates and glasses so because he had all of that to do and apparently work the bar, he didn't have to take drink orders on a regular basis and we were feeling a little neglected. Also, while the restaurant did not seem full and we had a reservation, we still got stuck in a back corner which kind of sucked."

  • "The fried brussel sprouts is the best dish we have tried at Rogue. The wok squid, the kale and quinoa power salad, and the bang bang chicken and shrimp were also excellent. The other items on the menu looked very appealing. The decor is very nice, even at lunch time. I imagine that it would be even better at night. The staff are superb. Owen was there both times that we have been at Rogue and was very friendly and extremely competent. He made us feel instantly welcome, his recommendations were good, and he was always there whenever we needed anything. We will definitely be back to try other items on the menu and to enjoy the excellent service."

  • "Liked the fact I could make a reservation where other similar chains downtown don't. Service was friendly, food was average and predictable for a large restaurant in a downtown location. Speaking as a Gastown resident, food and service have to notch it up to become my go-to place with all the other great choices in the neighbourhood."

  • "The fried brussel sprout appetizer is fantastic. I could eat several orders of this appetizer by myself. My wife really enjoyed the kale & quinoa power salad and my chili was also good. The staff are very competent, prompt, and extremely friendly. They really appreciate their guests. The place also looks great with the two levels, wood trim, and iron railings. I highly recommend Rogue Kitchen and Webar in Gastown."

  • "Staying at the Fairmont Waterfront, 4 kids that all want something different for dinner, where to take them within 5 minutes walking distance on a rainy night? Great burger, sandwich/soup/salad combo was fresh and tasty, chicken wings were sensational, kids pizza perfect, quinoa salad zesty. Excellent cocktails and the service was prompt and cheerful. Definitely recommend it to all ages and appetites!"

  • "we ate there on christmas eve and had a good time. my steak was perfectly timed and the nachos were good. What's not so good is the service, maybe we were just on the wrong night there, but our server was not interested at all. She forgot twice something, asked about our satisfaction but didn't even wait for our answers. We wanted to share nachos as an appetizer, but got them with the main course. It's quite noisy in there but not a bad noise, more like something's going on. The restaurant itself is situated at the perfect spot and has a great interior. You feel very welcome and amazed by entering. I would definitely go back there again and hope just to get better service."

  • "I took clients out prior to a Canucks game and was pleased with both the service and the food. One of my guests was about 20 minutes late for our 6pm reservation but the food still arrived quickly and we managed to make it to the game at 7:10pm, just a few minutes after the puck dropped. I had the fish and chips which was very good although the french fries were mostly small bits instead of longer fries. Both of my guests liked their meals and drinks. The service was friendly, knowledgable and efficient--better than I expected, frankly. And they asked if we were going to the game and made sure we got in and out quickly. I will return."

  • "I came here with my boyfriend for dinner. The food tasted great and we had a few shots. The shots were slightly cheaper here because they were in paper cups instead of class cup. It was a great experience overall but there was one thing that had really disappointed me. I had pre-ordered a dessert to say "Happy Birthday" on it before hand but it never came. I guess they forgot about it. =/"

  • "I was nervous selecting this restaurant for a business lunch with a new client, but I took a chance and was not disappointed. Character decor, enough space between tables you don't feel like your neighbours are listening to your conversation, high ceilings, yet it is not loud or echoey. I had chili served with garlic toast. Pleasantly surprised by the spiciness and the toast was light and crispy - ate it all without meaning to! Client loved the chicken burger. Great selection of items on the menu, something for everyone. Only mild negative was the service was just the tiniest bit slow. I would, however, happily return."

  • "This was one of two Vancouver restaurants where they decided to seat us at the most awkward table in what seemed like the middle of the walkway, yet there were plenty of empty tables around. We asked to be reseated and were told they were fully booked up. I was not happy, fortunately, the food and drinks were good and partially made up for the disappointment of a bad table. We had the halibut and chips (food was hot and tartar sauce really good) and chicken sandwich with yam chips. Also recommend their dark ales and frozen bellini. However, if you want to feel like a valued customer, you're better off going somewhere else."
