A word from Rococo Steak
We envisioned a steakhouse and lounge unlike any other. A revolutionary steakhouse, in both cuisine and design, which would challenge the strict traditions of American steakhouses. The result is Rococo Steak.

The menu has a larger selection of small steaks, including unique grass-fed options, more playful appetizers, and craveable side dishes. The hip, contemporary design conveys intimacy and sensuality, yet provides a spirited atmosphere for socializing.

If you're looking for service where they toss your plates on the table, argue with you about your meal selections and waiters who ignore you while smoking their ecigarettes by the stairway, this is the place for you. Food was ok--- menu selection was pretty good."

  • "My boyfriend and I were out for drinks for my birthday with no dinner plans. Made a reservation, no problem, and were seated at a really nice corner booth. We ordered drinks, and loved them both. Ordered the bacon flight for an app - you MUST order this if you are a bacon lover. Absolutely amazing. He got the prime rib and I got the grass-fed filet. Both steaks were cooked perfectly, seasoned well and my filet had a really nice crust on it while still being juicy inside. I love the option to order grass-fed vs. corn-fed and it was only $2 more. Only complaint was the mac and cheese- good but way under-salted/seasoned. It's a bit pricey, as expected from a really nice steakhouse. Great food, excellent service, we will be going back."

  • "My wife was celebrating her birthday last weekend. She had seen Rococo while driving near Tropicana Field. Parked our car with the valet - very quick and courteous. Arrived, they quickly located our reservation and we were seated in the upstairs dining room. Took the elevator, which had moving cloths on the walls, to second floor. They have an extensive wine list, but none of us drink wine. Beer selection was moderate. Served cold with a glass. Their steak selection was awesome with both grain fed and corn fed beef. Well prepared steaks. However, everything is ala carte. We ordered mashed potatoes and another side that were great to share. The big downside was the bill at the end, over $330! A very large amount for good steaks."

  • "Took my wife for her birthday, and were totally blown away by everything from the food to the decor to the attentive staff. Our waiter made us feel right at home, and let us leisurely peruse your fantastic menu without feeling rushed at all. He was very knowledgeable about the menu, and very personable. We felt like we were in a friend's house for dinner. The staff and the chefs went the extra mile to make my wife's birthday special! They put a candle in her dessert, and then took the extra effort to write in script "Happy Birthday" in chocolate on her dessert plate. That was the nicest touch I've seen from any restaurant."

  • "I wanted to give the review a five start rating, but we had one small incident when we arrived. They seemed to not have our Open Table reservation (later, I was able to find the reservation), but they went ahead and seated us at the only available table, which happened to be in the bar area. My husband and I were celebrating our 31st wedding anniversary. I originally requested a booth table in the dining area, wanting to have a romantic dinner. The bar table had a direct view of the television, which was not ideal for a romantic dinner. However, the evening was saved by our excellent waiter, Joshua. He was attentive, informative, and just simply wonderful! Thanks to Joshua, we had a great dinner!"

  • "My hubby and I wanted to try something new since we've pretty much been to all the steakhouses in Tampa. When we read about Rococo Steak, I knew we had to try it because they offered grass fed steak! The restaurant is fairly new and we were very impressed. From the service (Joshua was excellent!) to the food (it is very rare that we go out and EVERYTHING we had was awesome!), we were beyond pleased. My hubby had the snapper and I had the grass fed filet. We also had the fried chicken lollipops, brocollini, sweet mashed potatoes and the mac and cheese...everything was impeccable! We will definitely be going back!"

  • "I'll start by saying that the manager tried to make up for some of this disaster by offering a tray of deserts and removing the charge for an incorrectly cooked steak from one of my quests bill BUT The place is very large. There were 5 of us and 1 arrived later than the other 4. One of 3 on the door simply pointed to him and said they're up stairs-did not walk him to the table or even indicate where upstairs we had been seated. Then the waiter from HELL-he was argumentative and my guests were embarrassed for me-he thought he was being cute we did not! It went down hill from there. Three hours to dine due to a HUGE gap before the entrees arrived. No one enjoyed their meal. The food was tasteless. We hope they improve but we'll never return."

  • "We were impressed when we arrived and three people opened the door for us. We had an 8:00 reservation but there were only tables available outside. Had some delicious drinks at the bar and about one hour later we checked on our table and discovered we were forgotten. When we were seated our server was clearly well-versed. Ordered Goat Cheese Pie which was yummy the second time..first one was burnt. Our Filet and Bone-in Rib Eye looked proper temperature but both cuts were dry. Mac and cheese was yummy with truffles and the wine was good. We will try it one more time but will sit at the bar which seems like what most people do. Maybe just an off night and everyone deserves a second chance. When making a reservation specify inside or out."

  • "This was our first time to Rococo Steak. When we arrived we were automatically seated out, we were not asked if we wanted inside or outside. Once seated there was a nice breeze but halfway through dinner the breeze stopped, humidity went up and we were both sweating and uncomfortable. We could not finish and get out check fast enough. Had I been asked, we would have requested inside. Overall, we felt the entries were overpriced and over salted. Charley's Steakhouse and Capital Grill are much better. Cannot say that we would revisit this restaurant."

  • "We thoroughly enjoyed our dining experience at Rococo. The steaks were as good as any i've has at other high quality steakhouses and the side dishes were delicious. After reading other reviews of the bacon flight, we couldn't resist ordering it and it did not disappoint! i will warn however against trying to eat the whole thing and then a steak! Some other reviewers commented on the price, but i did not find the prices to be out of line with what i would expect from a high end steak house. The service was excellent and the setting inside was great. it was raining the night we dined, so we missed out on the outdoor seating, but would certainly try it out on a night with better weather. i will definitely dine here again."

  • "We had read some nice reviews on the restaurant and always enjoy steakhouses that are unique and not the chain variety. More impressive than the steaks (only complaint was all were ordered medium and came out medium rare) - were the sides. There was such a variety from the truffle oil fries to the Okinawa potato - that it was hard to select one (we didn't). Goat cheese pie was A+. We left at 10PM and seemed to be the last ones in - keep that in mind. Will return."

  • "My husband, and friend and I decided to celebrate Friday at Rococo Steak. Wow! Elegant terrace dining. Coldwater oysters just flown in from Boston, stuffed wedge salad, and a luscious 40 oz Porterhouse. And oh that "cornbread"! Room temp butter a much appreciated touch. Wonderful wines. Did I mention the desserts? Pot au chocolat, which we combined with the grilled lemon cake, was pretty special. The only minus was over-eager waiters (in the multiples). Maybe they just wanted to see someone really enjoying dinner."

  • "This was my first time at Rococo and I really enjoyed it. The food and service were excellent! I had the grass-fed filet mignon with the creamed corn. I am not usually a creamed corn fan but it was really good. The lobster bisque was not the conventional type but I thought it was every bit as good as what I usually expect with this dish. I also really enjoyed the goat cheese pie as an appetitizer. Will look forward to my next visit!"

  • "First of all the food is fantastic. Yes, it is pricey but that was known ahead of time. The restaurant eliminated some entrees I had seen on previous menus such as boar, antelope. Would like to find a place that offers some off the wall entrees? The staff was very attentive, a little too much. When idle I think they should be out of my line of sight or standing so close. It can get very noisy as the bar is across the entranceway and not closed off by a wall. Our first choice for a bottle of wine was not available and it took awhile for us to find out. Wine finally served after the appetizer. Not impressive. Again, the food was fantastic and bread pudding dessert was divine. For steak lovers, a good place!"

  • "Be prepared to spend - it's a steak house, not a typical Florida (all inclusive volume over quality place) ... prices not really different from a few other steak places in the Tampa Bay area. Enjoyable treat, we'll go back, but we're not huge red meat eaters, so a steady diet of this kind of meal is not what we do. "

  • "I loved the ambiance of this place! Had a great 1920's/1930's vibe. I loved the old baroque-ish styled furniture. The wait staff is very professional. They have one of the best bread baskets (and this is saying a lot because I hate bread) featuring a cornbread based slice. They have quite a few unique menu items that I haven't seen anywhere in the 'Burg such as kale chips (a fave of mine) mixed with delicious staples like goat cheese pie. The prices are pretty fair as well. "

  • "The food was delicious and the service was outstanding - everyone truly seemed to want you to have the best experience ever. Tasty cocktails, a decadent dessert - an all around wonderful evening. I have Celiac disease but the staff was very reassuring and I was easily able to eat gluten free. The only reason I didn't give this a perfect score is that it is rather pricey - I was tempted to get some blue cheese steak butter as an accompaniment to my steak but it was an additional $6 (for butter!). Dinners and sides come separately so everything does start to add up. But I would definitely come back for special occasions. Very nice!"

  • "First time; bar was great with a wide selection of Wine to choose from, Great Bartenders. Got to sit outside was a great night to be outside, service was good he recommended great items, there Japaneses Sweet Potatoes were GREAT. I had ordered the bone-in filet medium rare and when it came out it was a little over done had the manager come over to fix, he took it back and came back said it looked medium rare so he said he would have it cooked closer to rare when it came out the second time they went to the extreme and it came out black&blue it was cold in the middle; manager never came back to see how it was, he kind of seemed mad that I said it was over done. Probable will not order again. Everything else was great. "

  • "Reservations for 6pm...and we were sat on time (we were some of the first inside). Servers to our table took about 5 minutes to initially arrive. Bread guy was fabulous. Main server was not attentive. Water guy never brought lemons. Food was lacking the flavor and quality to substantiate the price. Ribeye was far too fatty...beyond the typical good marbling, and just didn't have a comparable taste to Charley's, Bern's, etc. of which this establishment has to compete against. Asparagus was bland. However, the Mac and Cheese is fabulous. For the price and food, probably will not return. "

  • "I was in St Pete for a business meeting and wanted to find a place for a customer dinner, Rococo was recommended to me by several in my group, as they had attended a group dinner there the night before. The lobster mac and cheese is one of the best I have had and the bacon app was fantastic! The steaks were very tasty an on a par with some of the larger more famous chain restaurants. The wine list was large enough that you could find a wine to suite your budget and taste, but not too large that it took all night to do so. I would highly recommend Rococo's for any occasion, their attention to service was timely, not too much and never waiting for the server."

  • "Food was good. One in party had the steak it was done medium rare was tender and tasty. Portion very large. The vegetables as side dishes were very good, cooked well and were tasty. The prices are high especially in that all the items are ala carte. Three side dishes were plenty for five people. Might want to share mains as well as the portions are ample. Because of price this is likely to be a place for the special occasion."
