A word from Rococo Steak
We envisioned a steakhouse and lounge unlike any other. A revolutionary steakhouse, in both cuisine and design, which would challenge the strict traditions of American steakhouses. The result is Rococo Steak.

The menu has a larger selection of small steaks, including unique grass-fed options, more playful appetizers, and craveable side dishes. The hip, contemporary design conveys intimacy and sensuality, yet provides a spirited atmosphere for socializing.

Welcome to The Art of Steak!

I have lived in Pinellas County my entire life, and eaten at the best establishments in Tampa Bay. The dinner at Rococo was one of the best dinners I've ever had locally. Not only was the food amazing, but the service was that of flying First Class. Rare you see such attentive staff these days. Their bacon appetizer is to due for, get it!

We went for our 10th anniversary and it was a perfect choice. The wine list is overwhelmingly extensive. They start you out with the most delicious bread from France. The steaks were cooked perfectly and delicious. We had a choice of grass fed or corn fed beef - love that! We picked three sides and they were all interesting and tasty. This was a classy dining experience and the service was top notch. When the check came, we were thrilled. All of that, an expensive bottle of wine, port, for $130. The building is just a couple blocks off downtown St. Pete and its really cool. It's like vintage, artsy, and sophisticated all at once. We will def be back. Often.

If a nice dinner out on the town is your game, this is the place. Water service, perfect cocktails, excellent fish and steak (next time I'm going to try their duck! That looked amazing!). Every plate is a work of art, and if you need more art just look up! Even the ceilings are pieces of art!

The restaurant atmosphere was very nice; however both the food and service were uninspired. The goat cheese pie appetizer was excellent. The steaks were overcooked and dry. The drinks were very good as was the desert. We were there for a special occasion and have had better experiences that other high end steakhouses.

We had a wonderful time. Love what they have done with the old YWCA building. Would like to try the terrace dining area when the weather is better. Service was outstanding. Food was delicious and presentation was very nice. Service was outstanding. A filet was overdone, but they replaced it with a new one perfectly cooked and did not charge for that entree. The side dish of Mac and Cheese with the lobster added lived up to its billing and one order was enough for two to share. Pricing more suited to special occasion than just an evening out for a quick meal. By the way, the service was outstanding.

I have been to Bern's & Ruth's Chris Steakhouses on several occasions, and I was curious to try Rococo. I found it unique - from the taste of the bread on. I found the flavor & texture of the beef to be superior, and the twist on traditional sides & appetizers were memorable; especially with the sweet potatoes with vanilla bean. The service was attentive, polite, & frequent...but not overbearing, and he was certainly knowledgeable about wine. I WILL BE BACK!

My wife and I hadn't been on a date in a while, and decided to go to Rococo. It was a good decision, the good was excellent, the service friendly and attentive without being over bearing, and since it was late October, sitting outside was delightful as well. It was not inexpensive, but then you can't go to a place like this and expect it to be cheap. I'll be going back on our next special occasion.

The food and presentation were very good. The sides were unexceptional but portions were generous. I had a mixed-drink before dinner and asked for a beer with dinner. The beers they carry were extremely pedestrian. The manager gave as a reason that people who come to Rococo generally do not ask for beer. Nevertheless, there are excellent dinner and after dinner beers available. European beers that can be specifically paired to compliment select meats, fish or fowl. It is unfortunate that they are seemingly unaware of these excellent selections.

As a local resident of Downtown St Petersburg I had not been here before so I decided to give it a try. The location is not the best as you're away from all of downtown and its probably not all the safe to walk downtown after an evening meal. With that being said I was treated with a friendly smile and the door opened for me before I walked up the steps which I like. After a couple of drinks at the bar (very pleasant girl behind the bar) we took our seat for our meal. Now remembering that this is a steakhouse I ordered a 40-45$ steak cooked medium and when it turned up it was medium well. I personally own a Michelin accredited restaurant and this is a great example of no quality control. A $50 steak should be cooked perfect and it wasn't.

The food was excellent especially the prime rib & I am a New Yorker who has eaten Prime rib in many resteraunts but none like this. There were 2 items on the menu that they were out of which is bad for a Saturday night, but every thing else made up for it.Everyone in our group felt the same way abot the food and atmosphere. The only thing that I didn't like was the spicey bacon caesar salad which was not spice but bland. I am sorry they were out of the goat cheese pie which was what I & 3 others wanted. Our samll group was very lucky to have the private dinning room which made it feel like a party. The service and waitress was EXCELLENT!

I had three surprisingly large Grouper cheeks and 4 delicate baby lamb chops all on a bed of rainbow chard that was cooked and seasoned to perfection. The chops were topped with three Caper berries that added a layer of flavor to both the lamb and the fish that is nearly indescribable. The grouper tasted like fresh hot-buttered popcorn with a sweet and mildly salty finish. The chops had a stronger, meaty flavor that the caper berries cut through at just the right moment. Our wait staff person, David, was extraordinarily knowledgeable. The dining room was quiet but not empty and as each table received it's meals, we actually began to chat between tables about them. It was a perfect meal, prepared and served perfectly.

We love the restaurant for many reasons but foremost for the offering of grass fed beef. Due to health issues, my husband and I can only order beef if it is grass fed. The searing process is fabulous but this time I had the filet and the salt was overwhelming. It bothered me all evening and for that I was not pleased. I never have experienced that before at Rococo so I hope it was a one time happening. We intend to return as we have been there many, many times and just hope that we don't experience the "salt issue" again. We dined outside and it was just lovely.

Food was very tasty. Service was very good. Overall, we enjoyed our dinner very much. Tasty beef and sides. And the chocolate peanut butter dessert was fantastic. Only one minor issue. My prime rib should have been warmer. My first reaction with that first bite was that it was not quite warm enough. Not cold, but not thoroughly warm either. Almost like it sat for a few minutes before coming out. Other than that, very good.

Rococo was fine, just not anything out of the ordinary. I appreciate their inclusion of grass fed, antibiotic free steak. Their beet, watermelon radish salad was not a hit; way too much radish and not enough beet. The Okinawa sweet potatoes were unusual, but a bit too sweet, not sure what was added. Mushrooms were good. Bread was warm, but plain vanilla. Would go again, but not rushing back.

I have been to Rococo a number of times now and continue to be impressed. I started the night with a Manhattan made with a couple of different bitters including vanilla infused bitters. It was a great drink and great start to the evening. For dinner I had the NY Strip and they do a great job of creating a nice crust while keeping the temperature at Rare or Medium Rare along with the truffled fries. The meal was great and consistent with my prior visits. I believe this is the top steak house on this side of the bay (St. Petersburg and Clearwater areas).

Had a wonderful experience from the time we were greeted to dessert. We enjoy our bourbon and this is one of the few restaurants that has Pappy Van Winkle. A real treat. Josh was our server, very personable and fit in with our group. A great selection of appetizers, the goat cheese was awesome. The main course and sides were excellent. They put a nice light char on the steaks, just the way it should be, and still cooked to perfection. The sides were great, we had the corn and lobster mac and cheese. We were stuffed so decided against dessert but since we mentioned it was someone's birthday Josh brought a small serving of the peanut butter pie. A nice touch and delicious. We will definitely go back.

Such a great restaurant with a fantastic decor to match! Grain and corn fed beef, unique side offerings, and exceptional service and attention to detail. We go there for special occasions opposed from just going to Capital Grill, Bern's, etc. because they excel at taking care of their guests without the 'turn and burn' of other places. We recently went to celebrate the 2 year anniversary of our engagement before our wedding in a cole of months. We were treated fantastic from the moment we saw the hostess staff until we walked out the door. Our table waserfe t with rose eagles and a card signed by the staff (nice touch). Joshua did a fantastic job and it was a perfect evening! Well recommended by a foodie!

The dining room ambience is fabulous for a special occasion meal. Having said that, the meal was just ok for the prices. I really had higher expectations. My husband had the New York strip and I had the Prime Rib which was way over-seasoned. The wait staff was overly attentive to the point of hovering. With the other options available in the downtown area of St Pete, Rococo moves to the middle of my list.

The ambiance including the outside lanai is outstanding. Both the bar and dining areas are very attractive and not so noisy as to not hear your neighbor at the table. While the apps and entrees where well executed and were all fresh and of high quality, most menu items seemed a bit pricey for the quantity. The tartare app is a mere 1 tbsp of tuna and 1 tbsp of salmon. We were told this should serve 4. Three of us at the table ordered the grass-fed ribeye. The servings seemed to be of inconsistent sizes. Nonetheless, the steak was cooked correctly and to the requested temperature. Again, a bit pricey for the quantity. Service was, however, spotty, especially after a neighboring table filled. Our foodie expectations were not quite met.
