Our usual brunch spot after a late night in Savannah! A bit pricey but plenty of food, great service, unique brunch dishes. Highly recommend the cheese grits and biscuits and gravy! Always one of our favorite meals!

Our waiter was extremely excellent! The food was excellent! The ambiance was excellent! But, at the end of the meal, after signing the check, a waitress who wasn't serving us made a point to tell me to put my cigarette out, because she could. No one was sitting around us. These kind of people should remember that this act was enough to ruin a perfect evening and was not necessary since there were no complaints and is a reflection on the restaurant.

Tried to eat at the rooftop bar but it was crowded and noisy. We went downstairs to the restaurant. The service was great. We had a waiter who anticipated our needs without being intrusive. The she crab soup was the best I have ever had. The decor was not to my taste however it did not significantly distract from the experience.

This was our first visit for inside dining. The service was very good and our server was attentive. Our meal was delicious and we really enjoyed it. Our main complaint was how noisy it was. There were several large groups around us and the noise level was very distracting. Also, there was not much ambiance with the entire dining room lit up. Views were great. We would come back, but not as often.

Both of us order the surf and turf based on its description. The crab cake was delicious asparagus was fine and tr potatoes were good. The fillet was cooked to order and tender but that was it, taste wise it had no flavor. The noise from others in there was very loud and sitting 3 feet away from my date I literally had to talk over people. This was not a sit and chat meal environment. Lastly we were seated in a booth as requested but the a/c vent above us was dripping and splashing our table.

My fiancée and I dined at Rocks on the River last Saturday and we had the pleasure of having Denise as our server. We both raved about her service, knowledge of the menu, professionalism and we loved her no non-sense, yet personable approach. I have been to your establishment several times in the past when I travel to Savannah, but this one was no doubt the most enjoyable; and I attribute that to Denise.

As a local of Savannah, this may be the worst experiences I've had. Jordan was friendly table side but we rarely saw her. She was either over sat or just not good. We waited 15 minutes before the hostess offered us drinks. After we ordered, it took a long time to get our food. A table that sat after us with another server finished dining before we got our meal. My friend had asked for a refill on coffee, had to wait nearly 10 minutes for and I was never offered more though my cup was empty. We asked to speak to a manager at the end. She seemed like she didn't care about our experience. When told we would never return, she said she hoped we eventually changed our mind. No compassion at all. Will not return and will never recommend.

The decor and ambiance at Rocks on the River were very nice. The food was good. We all shared calamari, which was different than the usual, and tasty. My gumbo tasted good, but the texture was too thick and the soup was lukewarm. Others had surf and turf, which was very good and the pepperoni pizza was the best we had. Our server was very personable and knowledgeable, but she was not exactly attentive. We were often with empty water glasses and my husband poured the wine. Overall, we had a good experience here.

When we arrived on the roof-top, there was no place to even stand to experience a view. We were then seated inside where it was so dark & loud we couldn't even talk to our guests. Then when seated for dinner reservations, you where out of everything we wanted to order. It was a very disappointing evening, for us & our out-of-town guests.

The restaurant was pricey for the amount of food you received. We don't mind pricey, but the food has to be good and a decent amount. The shrimp and grits was probably the best I've had. The rest of our party of four were very disappointed. In sharing tastes I'd have to agree. The "special" dessert tasted like lightly sweet nothing. Very disappointed overall. I make recommendations for a lot of visitors and I'd have to say, not going to put Rocks on the River on my list. This is my second visit, once for brunch and once for dinner.

I really enjoyed Rocks on the River. Not only was the rooftop seating amazing with the best view, we had the best waiter. We were worried we would miss our haunted tour, but he did his absolute best to get the food out to us as quickly as possible. My husband is also Gluten Intolerant and couldn't have a dessert of their special birthday menu, so our waiter brought him out ice cream. The food was absolutely amazing as well. Some of the best steak I have ever had. We had an amazing experience and will definitely return.

My boyfriend and I came to Rocks on the Roof to celebrate our anniversary. It was a little confusing when we came up the elevator and the man working there told us to seat ourselves, so we did not have the opportunity to check in for our Open Table reservation. Also, all of the outdoor tables and chairs were wet and we had to ask several people for assistance and waited quite a while to get them wiped down and then for our server. The food was good - nothing special - but the server was very sweet and we had a nice time. We would come back for a drink but most likely not for dinner.

Food is tasty and filling, the mussels were cooked in a rich tomato sauce ,a spoon is needed in order not to waste it as it is delicious and I wish I had asked for the recipe! While our dinners took a while to be served after ordering, they were well worth the wait! We visited during restaurant week and we're offered a special menu. I chose a chilled Ceasar salad, a Salmon filet over polenta and broccoli with a BlackBerry glaze, and Chocolate Lava Cake. The Salmon entre was surprizing and superb! The mixture of flavors was delightful! Three cheers to the chef!

This restaurant was recommended by a friend and we made reservations. We were there at 6 pm on a friday. Food just only fair. My salad was warm and wilted, as if it had been sitting under a heat lamp. My burger was good, but my husband had the dumplings, they were a disappointment. The restaurant was uncomfortably warm, we wanted to finish dinner quick and leave. Later we went to the rooftop bar, that was very nice, good service.
