  • "From the minute we walked, our server was absent. She was elsewhere. She didn't smile or have much of a personality. She actually made us feel very uncomfortable. We were a party of 4 and started with drinks and felt very rushed into placing our dinner order on a Saturday night. We were celebrating a friends birthday and wanted to have a nice relaxing dinner. Our server was not having it and kept coming back every 5 minutes pressuring us to order. The food was ok. Have had better with a much better attitude. Thanks but no thanks."

  • "I had to organize a small work group dinner and we had several changes in our reservation with multiple people arriving late and yet the front desk was so accommodating and so friendly. The waitress was more than patient with our very slow pace even though it was extremely crowded. It was super loud but we came in right as happy hour was ending so it was packed. Looked like it would've been especially fun if I were there to just hang out with friends. Blackened salmon penne pesto was scrumptious. Not especially gourmet food here but yummy comfort food."

  • "A group of six dined there on a busy Sunday late afternoon. Drinks, appetizers, dinner, dessert. Every person raved about it. Each item was really really good. We were all shocked and in amazement. Usually if one or two things during a dinner are really good, that's about all you can expect. But here, everything was exceptional. It's a great location in Manhattan Beach, steps from beach. After dinner we walked outside to watch the gorgeous sunset and strode out on the Pier and took lots of unbelievably colorful photos of the sun setting and then a gorgeous sky. All in all, a 9.8 out of 10 dining experience! For us, it was exceptional. And we are a bunch of finicky New Yawkers. (Well, they are. I am a temporarily dislocated SoCal native!)"

  • "I dined at this establishment because of the reviews, mostly favorable, and a look at the menu online that showed some interesting dishes. The atmosphere at 8 pm on a Monday night can only be described as raucous, very loud, several 6-8 people groups having a great time. This is not the place for a romantic quiet evening. Most upsetting was the lukewarm temperature of my supposed "loaded" baked potato, which was sparsely accented. My broiled mahi mahi was stove hot but very oily; the spinach, was merely boiled and limp in a cup with virtually no seasoning, very bland. All-in-all a mediocre tasting meal although the $25/entrée price with two sides was fair; it was a filling and satisfying, and ordinary, meal."

  • "I have been here several times with my boyfriend and wanted to take his parents who were visiting from Sweden for several months out to a great meal before heading back home. The service is continually great and the grilled artichoke and cioppino are OUTSTANDING. so much so that we don't even open the menu anymore. (Cioppino is definitely for sharing). Once, they forgot our grilled artichoke and were extremely apologetic, brought us out the dish on the house and even offered us drinks to apologize."

  • "The waitress gave us a large wine list and all the wines were priced at the restaurant's cost. It was so refreshing to buy a bottle of wine at a reasonable price at a restaurant! Of course, we ended up buying 2 bottles. The food was good. The menu didn't have enough healthy choices for me...so I had a hard time choosing something yummy but also low calorie. I ended up ordering salmon with pesto pasta. It was not a good choice for my diet, but it was good."

  • "I've been here twice, this time for my birthday and it was a great choice. Food items were excellent; especially the oak grilled artichoke and the crab cakes for starters. Wine list was good and reasonable. It's a bit noisy for intimate conversation but that is what we expected and had lively conversation and excellent wine and food. I look forward to coming back and trying some of the grilled fish dinners."

  • "Had a lovely lunch with my family last weekend, celebrating my mother's birthday. Have been several times for dinner and was so happy to find that the quality of food and service remains excellent during their lunch service. We were able to get a patio seat and our server was very attentive to our needs. We started with the Calamari which was fresh & crispy. Next was the Clam Chowder which was just "okay" for me. Someone in our pary had the Turkey Burger which she reported as "very good", not dry as some are. I had the Dungeness Crab Po Boy and it was prepared with generous amounts of crab! Other thumbs up from our party were the Cioppino and the Kapalua Ribeye ... a family favorite! Another plus for lunch ... scored on parking!!!"

We added salt to it, which made it a little better, but we shouldn't have to do that. For the prices, the food should simply be better."

We ordered the Chef's special lobster and shrimp carbonara, Louisian swordfish, the jumbo prawns, the bread pudding and their version of a mud pie with pieces of butterfinger hidden inside. Scrumptious! The service was impeccable - the families dining at tables nearby were friendly too."

  • "I made the reservation through Open Table for the Dine LA event. I was not happy to see that my favorite item - Oak Grilled Artichoke was no longer offered as part of the special (as it was on the DineLA website). However, we ordered anyway and it was amazing! My boyfriend did get the Dine LA meal with the Kale Caesar Salad and Oak Grilled Ribs which he really enjoyed. I had the Oak Grilled Mahi Mahi (off regular menu) which was great. I would definitely recommend the Crème Brulee to finish if you have room! I enjoy this spot for special occasions but it was worth checking out for DineLA."

  • "I took my husband there for his birthday and I can say that we had a great time. It was definitely a grown grown- up hang out atmosphere at night. Our reservations were right on time we no wait With our reservations and the place was packed. The front area when you first walk in but not as nice as the inside area. But it was the same service and the quality was still there. The place was very dimly lit in the front and maybe a few t light candles would help because we almost couldn't read the menu that that's how dark it was. Overall I give it a thumbs up you'll love it. The food is always great I had jambalaya with linguine and my husband had just basic fish and chips. Lastly my lemon drop martini was great!"

They did close the garage door, but the noise level was so loud we couldn't hear each other speaking. It was to the point we were laughing about it and trying to time our conversation to the very loud group of 10 seated behind us. I think I will come back for lunch and def request to be seated inside."

  • "We've lived in Redondo for 2 years and we are still looking for decent food in the south bay. Yelpers seem to like this place so I was encouraged and made a reservation. Went on a Sunday evening with my young adult children for my son's 21st birthday dinner. The food was not good. Oversalted, over smoky - nothing tasted fresh. Odd tasting turkey burger. Limp fries. Waitress was friendly but extremely rushed. She brought a complimentary huge slice of bread pudding - delicious - the best tasting item on our table, by far. Nice touch. Likely will not return. The quest for good food in SoCal continues."

  • "Really good seafood restaurants have a special 'fee' to them; the smells of fresh fish and its cooking; a sense of the sea. Rock'N Fish at Manhattan Beach is a little gem that has all that. Lightly grilled shrimp on a Caesar salad were amazing; perfectly cooked/grilled ahi tuna (always hard to get it done just right) and oak planked king salmon which was as good as I've ever had and I'm a Pacific salmon freak. A totally worthwhile and memorable dining experience."
