ROCK'N FISH L.A. LIVEAnniversary dinnerThis was our first visit to Rock n Fish. Our friends, my wife and I were very pleased with the food, service, and ambience.6/1/2013 12:00:00 AMDinner before Will Downing ConcertWe had a great evening at Rock 'N Fish L.A. Live. As soon as we arrived there was someone in the front area to welcome us in for our 6:15 p.m. dinner reservation. We were seated in a nice area. The ambience made for a really nice evening. I had the jambalaya and my wife had the New Orleans bar-b-que shrimp. Both dishes were outstanding and we should know considering my wife is from Louisiana and is an expert in creole cooking. We were able to walk from the restaurant to the concert easily. The food was not terribly expensive either. We will be back.5/25/2013 12:00:00 AMPleasantly SurprisedThe food was good, but you need to know what to order. The next time I venture out - I will choose the BBQ shrimp. The gentleman next to me had it and it looked divine. My penne pesto salmon was okay, but it was way too much penne and barely any pesto. The blackened salmon was pretty good. This dish seem to mesh together. My guy's Jambalya was excellent.5/25/2013 12:00:00 AMGood food, great atmosphereThe food here was really good. I ordered the BBQ shrimp and it was amazing, but a little bit on the pricey side (but what can you expect from LA Live?). We went to celebrate my friend's birthday and had noted that it was a birthday in our reservation. When the restaurant called to confirm, they told me we'd get a complimentary bread pudding. Unfortunately, our waiter never brought that to us and it seems like the fact that we were celebrating never got conveyed to our waiter. However, he was nice, friendly and patient with us. Overall, I had a good time, but probably wouldn't return unless I had a good reason to be at LA Live. The price of parking, food, and drinks is just too overwhelming to do often.5/18/2013 12:00:00 AMGreat RibsGreat Ribs, cole slaw, sweet potato fries and terrific service.
Martinis are spectacular as is their choice of wine.
Service is spectacular. Ribs are great as is cole slaw and bread!
Coctails are good too.5/16/2013 12:00:00 AMGreat atmosphere!Atmosphere is great. I recently took my girlfriend there for Mother's day and we both loved it. We got the Blackened Catfish. It was delicious. I would definitely recommend this place for a lunch or dinner spot. Its good for romantic type dates or just hanging out with friends. Great place and great food.5/13/2013 12:00:00 AMNice jobVery good food, good and friendly service. Good place for pre-game or pre-concert at LA Live. The grilled artichoke was excellent; I've grilled them myself, but nothing close to this result.5/3/2013 12:00:00 AMThe food is always very goodThe food is always very good and there garlic cheese bread is the best in town. We enjoy the casual, friendly atmosphere and great service. The food is excellent and there is a good selection of beer and wine. Love the Jambalaya and the seafood dishes are nicely done! We have been to Rock'n Fish several times and have never been disappointed. Great restaurant!4/13/2013 12:00:00 AMWill It Be Better Next Time???As you see we did enjoy the whole OpenTable experience. This was our first time and it was great except for the gumbo I decided to have as a special treat coming from Las Vegas!! I was not able to eat but a couple of spoonsful of the sticky rice and the thick sauce because it reminded me of a kind of sauce or gravy one would have with stewed chicken or pork chops over rice. First of all, I was born and raised in Louisiana and your special dish did not remotely resemble what we southerners call "gumbo!" This is not unusual and I try to steer away from places that claim to know how to prepare gumbo. What was attractive and appealing about your restaurant is that it is a FISH/SEAFOOD place and we figured that you would certainly know......4/12/2013 12:00:00 AMHad Rock N Fish for the firstHad Rock N Fish for the first time. Gave it 2 thumps up. Food is good and good customer service.4/11/2013 12:00:00 AMGreat LA Live spot for before eventNice place and not too expensive. Great tasting food.4/5/2013 12:00:00 AMOur favoriteOften dine befor the Lakers games. Good food. I LOVE the crab cakes. I had the side salad and spinach to go with it. All the dishes look good as they pass by. There is always a crowd. This time we were smart. Made reservations!3/22/2013 12:00:00 AMExpected less, got a whole lot moreWe usually don't like chains but Rock 'N Fish changed our minds. We were very pleasantly surprised to find service to be professional, food on a par with individually owned and run better restaurants, and the atmosphere to be energetic enough without being overwhelming. We truly enjoyed our experience and our meal and tip our hats to Rock'N Fish for a great evening!2/21/2013 12:00:00 AM
