A word from Rockit Burger Bar
Rockit Ranch Productions announces Rockit Burger Bar, across from Wrigley Field at Waveland & Clark. This evolution of Rockit Burger Bar comes as the result of an overwhelming response from North side patrons, social media enthusiasts and restaurant reviewers, all craving more burger selections specifically at the Wrigleyville location, wanting more of Rockit’s quality burgers at an affordable price – unique from Rockit River North, where the diverse menu is heavily requested by guests.
Rockit’s passion for burgers is a natural progression for the brand, with the Rockit Burger having received Best Burger praise from Good Morning America and Citysearch, to name a few. Rockit Burger Bar welcomes the new season and its new menu from executive chef Amanda Downing, which includes: 16 mouth-watering gourmet burgers, flatbread pizzas made in-house in an authentic Italian brick oven, signature salads and weekend brunch, in addition to a selection of specialty cocktails & beers.

Diner Reviews
  • "As usual, the food was very good. Our service from Kylee was outstanding."

  • "My husband and son both foolishly had the classic black angus burger (son had his with cheese), which came w/ reg. fries. Husband wishes he'd substituted any of the specialty fries instead - they offer seasoned curly, sweet potato, & waffle, as well as onion rings. My Rockit bBurger, made w/ kobe beef, brie, fried shallots, & date aioli, was delicious (next time I will ask for 1/2 as much cheese but 2x as much shallots & aioli). , Substituted s p fries for the truffle fries it was supposed to come w/, & they were great. Server (Kylie), was great, & even brought another table water for their dog (eating outside), unasked. Pricy for beers (tried Akita Purple Haze, also delicious) and burgers, but then supposed to be "gourmet". Will go back."

  • "I was disappointed that I only got two strips of bacon with the fried eggs I ordered, and that my brother hardly got any bacon in the omelet he ordered. This had not been my experience in the past."

  • "Great place to brunch before game. Excellent Bloody Mary bar"

  • "Great hamburgers and drinks. Mac and cheese with pulled pork on a hamburger. Life is good. Plus an excellent music play list during dinner. This is a must eat at place."

  • "The food is always excellent here, but the staff are extremely friendly and courteous, especially our waitress, Matti. There is not a better spot in Wrigleyville before or after a game than Rockit's!"

  • "There is no better place to enjoy a beverage and good food before or after a Cubs game!"

  • "The place was fantastic. So many choices of great burgers to choose from."

  • "The Apple Bacon Burger and sweet potato fries were one of the best meals I have ever had. The brownie and ice cream I had for dessert was tops. Everything is prepared fresh on site. I have eaten all over the world and this was by far a top world class meal. The restaurant is casual but the food preparation and quality is first class. I look forward to dining there again soon."

  • "We decided to give Rockit a try for the Blake Shelton concert on 7/19. They were one of the few places that took a reservation so I booked us for 630pm. We were running a few minutes late but when we got there they told us how much they appreciated me calling to let them know & took us right to our table. They said I would be surprised how many don't call. It was a great spot with an awesome view of the street and Wrigley. Service was terrific. Our drink order was taken right away and was on our table shortly thereafter. The burgers were very good. We both ordered the Rockit Cheese Burger which is a double. Portion size was perfect for me, probably a bit much for my date. Prices very reasonable. I'd go back!"

  • "Very quickly: The food was really good, the waitstaff service was good, the hosting service stunk. They had available tables outside to seat customers, but refused our request to sit outside where it was quieter. They claimed that those tables were reserved already, even though we had reservations. The burgers were good, but not good enough to return, especially after the "meh" service."

  • "Our expectations as to the service were low, as this was before the Billy Joel concert at Wrigley Field. However, the service can only be described as terrible. No refills on drinks, the waiter never checked back regarding either the quality of the food or if desert was desired. And it took about half an hour to get the check. Rockit needs to be better equipped to serve larger crowds before events at Wrigley."

  • "I have been coming to the Rockit Burger Bar before Cub games for a few years now. I brought some friend for the first time and I may not be back. WE were late so lost our table but there was plenty of room at the bar. We sat down and ordered a round. The bartender had an attitude from the start. Some how a glass was broken behind the bar and his reaction was terrible. He started slamming stuff and mildly ranting about this and that. He completely ignored some people at the end of the bar. Finally another bartender came and she took our food order and after a pretty long wait we were served our lunch. The food was good but the service was bad."

  • "Brunch was ok. Burgers are excellent but brunch menu is lacking. I had the eggs Benedict and there was nothing special."

  • "Rockit is a great neighborhood spot with an interesting list of burgers. There is something for everyone. Husband loves The Hottie. We've tried most of the list and each is worthy competition to some of the best burger joints in town. Always cooked to perfection. The chopped Southwestern salad is delish. Love their Mac and cheese, especially the one with the short ribs. They have a pretty good beer list, too. Location across from Wrigley can be crowded, but once the game starts it's perfect. Fantastic sidewalk area for al fresco dining. Perfect spot during concerts at Wrigley. You can get dinner and a concert."

  • "The selection of IPA beers is great! Burgers come in all form of ingredients...even for the vegetarian at our table. My Rockit-named burger was Kobe and cooked to a perfect medium rare. Also, the bbq pork nachos melted in my mouth! A must-visit when in Chicago...it's a block off the 'L'."

  • "The food/burgers are always delicious! Our server seemed to come over every 2 minutes and stop for long conversations, which was a little irritating, since I was trying to have a good conversation over dinner and kept getting interrupted. Other than that Rockit is always great - great food, great drinks, and great location!"

  • "This a fun place to people watch and have a great burger and some of the best fries anywhere. It's perfect for a last minute dinner out."

  • "Clark and Waveland right across from Wrigley. Get here by 5:30 or 5:45, get a nice table outside, have one of a variety of interesting burger combinations (e.g., venison burger with fois gras) and be to the Cubs 7:05 evening game with time to spare. Obviously you'll have to come earlier for a 6:05 game."

  • "Stopped in for a burger and truffle fries. The best! If I'm going to eat for fun, this is one of the places I'm going to go. "

  • "Nothing like a rare burger with a toasted bun. You can add what ever you can imagine to the burger one can imagine. The beef was tender, juicy and had a really good flavor. We had onion rings first which proved to be a good choice also. Usually I'm not a fan of a heavier battered onion ring but they were an exception! Get there on the earlier side if you'd rather a quieter experience."

  • "as always, wonderful food, service, ambiance (before a Cubs game), no surprises here. the burgers, salads are fantastic. prices in line with comparable establishments. excellent service. "

  • "We stopped in for brunch before heading over to Wrigley Field for a Cubs game on Sunday. We had burgers and Bloody Mary's. Both were fantastic! I had the mushroom truffle burger, my husband had the venison foie gras burger. Both were delicious, but the better of the two in our opinion was the burger with foie gras! YUM! And the spice bar for the Bloody Mary's was great; we both took advantage and embelished our drinks just the way we like them. Rockits was packed before the game, but the staff was friendly and efficient and got us in and out in a timely manner without making us feel rushed. We will definitely stop in again before or after a game."

  • "I can't handle red meat, so I tried the turkey burger here. Absolutely terrible. Undercooked, mushy, and no flavor. On top of it all, my side salad was nothing more than shredded lettuce, sprinkled cheese, and a few diced tomatoes. It was as if I ordered it from Taco Bell. I'm not coming back here. "

  • "Burgers lack consistency visit to visit. Mine tasted totally different this time--and not in a good way. Ingredients were left actually left off my meal. We'll be back eventually, but this was a disappointment. Oh, and skip the cheeseburger hot pocket. Dry and boring. "

  • "The only thing better than the food was the service of Matti, our waitress."

  • "I had the Johnny Apple burger and it was one of the best burgers I've ever tasted and I've been to a ton of burger bars in Chicago. This was an amazing combination of flavors that fit together perfectly. They have a nice craft beer selection so I got to try some new suds. The service was good. Fun atmosphere. I am looking forward to returning."

  • "Our group felt the burgers tasted incredible and loved the variety of choices. Also enjoyed several types of specialty beers."

  • "The best thing about my Tuesday night visit was the staff: polite, patient (my dinner guest was late, but I was seated and checked on regularly), friendly—all-around wonderful. The burgers were fine—the beef moist and not overcooked, the salmon more of a fillet really—and the mac'n'cheese really cheesy and flavorful. Being a sports bar, it is loud, getting more so as the evening goes on, but it was cool to see young professionals and old die-hards mixing together. The beer list looked long, but my margarita was excellent—a bit boozy and a bit tart, and really big! The worst thing is parking—being so close to the Stadium, with towing enforced when the Cubs are playing; there are two public lots close by, if you want to pay the price."

  • "Met up for an informal meeting on a Wednesday night. Good food and service. Will come back, it's a great spot in the neighborhood for better food and beer than regular wrigley bars."
    Dined on 3/19/2014
  • "Rockit was great but the service wasn't the best. They were training new staff members, so it's understandable that they were delayed but it could have been better."

  • "My Wife and I are avid karaoke people, and when we heard they had it in Chicago we had to check it out. We had a great meal, the beers were awesome (tons of microbrews) and very knowledgeable staff. The Manager came over and talked to us for a while, made us feel right at home. We sang, made some new friends, and had a great time."
