Delicious and probably fun if you want to party, but my husband, 16 year old daughter and I just wanted something to eat after a show. We got a booth, which helped, but really loud. We were here from about 10 - 11 PM.

We were in Chicago for the marathon and went here for dinner afterwards. We were seated immediately, the service was very good, and the burgers were great. I'd definitely recommend Rockit Bar & Grill if you're looking for good pub food.

My family and I were in town for the Chicago marathon and were looking for a nearby restaurant with availability. Happened on this place and enjoyed the experience. The waiter was very friendly and a serious runner so spent time talking with us regarding the race and Chicago. The food was good pub food. I had the TV dinner which came on a metal plate like the old TV dinners with meatloaf mac n cheese corn peas and brownies My wife had a burger which was fabulous. Would recommend this to anyone looking for a casual dinner with good service

Went there with a friend I haven't seen in over 10 years. We had a wonderful time. Both of us had burgers, which were quite tasty. We weren't there for the "bar scene" so I can't comment on that. All and all a good experience, although I missed a cocktail menu....

Had a nice experience with our servers and bartenders, had no complaints, our server was bubbly, very friendly, and attentive to us. I really enjoyed our dining experience. One of our guests said the pretzel appetizer was too plain, the other said buffalo chicken strips were good, and I really enjoyed the rocket pockets. The bowl of cheese fries for 10 bucks are huge so prepare to share!. We then went upstairs to the bar area and it was a little confusing/unorganized Cause the music was so random and flip flopped a lot from older 60's n back to 2000's and had older ppl on one side and younger on the other so wasn't sure what kind of scene the bar was trying to attract but I'd say for most part it was enjoyable.

    Dined on 9/23/2014
Went to Rockits last week because it is a "Michigan" bar/restaurant and we like to support those who support us. Made an Open Table reservation for four and we all showed up on time. The host barely acknowledged us when we gave our name, turned around and walked back into the restaurant under the guise of looking for a table. We could see at least a dozen from our vantage point at the host's stand. He did not tell us to follow him, did not tell us to wait a minute so that he could find us a table, did not say a single word. We turned around and walked the hell out. Walked down the street to Centro and had a wonderful meal with a fantastic service. As a business owner I would never treat a customer like that. See you never Rockits.

The build your own Mary bar is a meal in itself! I have been here for dinner and brunch and both were great! The brunch was a little louder than normal with the acoustic guitar player but it wasn't too loud that you couldn't keep a conversation going. I would suggest requesting a table furtherest from the live music if you have a bigger group and want to talk! Great atmosphere and awesome service!

But the food is very good! Reasonably priced also. The place is painted black so it's very dark inside. Our food took 50 minutes (there were only three of us). The neighboring tables were getting served first, long after we ordered, so apparently the delay wasn't across the board, which is good I guess. The waitress did her best to check in with us. It would have gone a long way if she brought us an appetizer or something on the house.

Reservations are highly recommended as the place filled up quickly between 11-12. Very casual, some people were practically in t-shirts and pajama pants! The Bloody Mary's were very good and the Bloody Mary bar where you could choose your own toppings was fun. There are many brunch options from the breakfast and lunch side to satisfy a group. We had the Country Ham Benedict (yum!), Steel Cut Oatmeal, California Omelet, and 3 Eggs. All were very good. Home fries are excellent! Upon arrival there was 80's music playing but soon, we were treated to live music by a musician playing acoustic guitar and singing covers of Jason Mraz, Jack Johnson, etc. It was perfect, easy listening for brunch! Heard that the bar scene is fun too at night.

My absolute favorite restaurant in downtown Chicago. The Bloody Mary's use a homemade blend along with an Absolut pepper rimmed glass. Bloody Mary's, Mimosas, and Mojitas are only $5 for weekend brunch, which includes a fabulous Bloody Mary Bar. They have GREAT food, both breakfast and lunch. Best burgers around!

Rockit was a perfect restaurant for my diverse group of friends, who are new to the area, for dinner and a nightout. I needed a place that I could count on so everyone would be satisfied (not easy) and I definitely picked the right spot! Despite a very minor (and very understandable) mix up with one dish, which was quickly remedied to our every satisfaction, everything was perfect. The food was fantastic, great drinks, the service was top notch from every employee - host to waitress and management. Which is a very refreshing-positive change from the other restaurants in the Rivernorth area!! There is a great upscale but not pretentious atmosphere. It is also worth noting the great bar scene upstairs complete with pool tables.

I went to Rockit for brunch after hearing they had amazing food specifically for brunch. I got the pork belly skillet. It was just okay. The potatoes, onions and green peppers were barely cooked; almost raw. The eggs and pork belly were very tasty, however. My friends' food did look better than mine. Truffle fries were outstanding. Since it's summer their patio is open and therefore the front of the restaurant is open. It was VERY (I'm talking sweating) hot. The man singing was fantastic. I think I enjoyed him and his talent more than the food and would go again to try something else and to hear him perform again.

We enjoyed a burger with sweet potato fries. The food was very good and would warrant a return visit, however the service was atrocious and will not encourage us to return. The server started out fine, when we first started our visit, however, as the rest around got busier, his attention was too distracted. It wasn't that he was too busy, but he was inefficient and simply chose to ignore us...at least that is how it came off. There are so many good restaurants in the area, it is not necessary to put up with mediocre, let alone poor service. Try it for the food, I hope that others get better service.

I keep going back to Rockit, and bringing out-of-towners there, because the Rockit Burger is one of the best in town, and because the truffle fries are to die for. But the service at Rockit is SLOW, and I have made mention of this to the manager on more than one occasion. They seem content to understaff, and I'm sure the waiters are okay with it - most people will still leave 15% even if the service isn't great, so I'm sure the servers love having extra tables. I waited tables for years and know how many servers are needed to keep things running smoothly - Rockit flies about two short. Case in point: this is the third visit in a row where I've had to walk to the bar to get a refill on soda because the server is M.I.A.

I was in town by myself for business and went to enjoy dinner at Rockit. I was seated quickly and had attentive service. The food was pretty good (I got a cup of turkey chili and the buffalo calamari salad), and there were many things on the menu that I would certainly try if I were to go to Rockit again. They also have a nice beer list. My most negative review would be that it was very loud. I had a hard time hearing my server and it was just surprising how loud it was considering it was dinner time - the noise wasn't coming from a rowdy bar crowd, just other diners. Not something that would keep me away from the restaurant unless I wanted a quiet meal!

I love Rockit Bar & Grill ! But this trip there was not pleasant at all for me and my family smh we had by far the worst server in the world ! Our server was named Griselda she was by far the worst ! First she messed up my drink order she wrote down my drink which was the Rockit Punch but another waiter brought me a Bomb pop smh ! My cousin asked for lemons to go in her water the server said ok but went missing ! we dined from 9p-11:30p so after the kitchen staff brought our food out we needed extra stuff such as mayo, dressing etc we never seen the lady but get this when we finally seen her she didn't even attempt to come check on us & went missing again for at least 30mins than came out & never looked our way!
