A word from Rocket Twenty-One - fka Ferneau
01/02/2014
Friends and loyal customers of Rocket Twenty One I wanted to inform you personally of the moves we are making with our restaurant. We have built a brand new building in front of Benihana and this will be the new home FOR ROCKET 21 about January 10th. This new location will have all the famous pieces of the Blue Dog Art and of course will have the same FAMOUS ROCKET 21 MENU with the SAME CHEFS preparing the great food.
Being close to the Ball Park, the Verizon Arena, and having 200 Guest rooms of hungry people along with many local customers from North
Little Rock, Jacksonville, Cabot. If you have any Rocket 21 Gift Cards they will be honored at Riverfront Steakhouse, Benihana's Or the New Rocket 21 located at the Wyndham. If you want to wait also will be honored at the new concept old location.

Diner Reviews
  • "We dined for at Rocket 21 for New Year's. This was our first time visiting the restaurant since its change from Ferneau. The wait staff was very friendly and helpful, however, it took well over an hour to get our entree. We were in no hurry because we had no other plans for the evening. Patrons who had plans to ring in the New Year elsewhere were likely late to the party. My appetizer was quite bland and needed some sort of sauce to bring the dish together. My entree was tasty, but the tiramisu came out frozen. Did we enjoy our evening? Yes. Was the food good? Yes, but not incredible nor worth the wait or the price. There are a number of fine dining locations in Little Rock I'd rather spend $150-$200 for a romantic dinner for two."

  • "This restaurant had all the potential to be good...friendly, attentive server, good atmosphere, etc. However, we had to wait over 1.5 hours for our meal. Our server gave us 1 complimentary glass for the wait...not 1 per person...just 1. The food was good; however, the temperature was cold. It was almost as if the food sat in the window for an extended period of time and got cold."

  • "The restaurant is lovely, but the food was hit and miss. Appetizers were excellent, but the dinner salads (as in salads intended to be eaten for dinner) were poor, and our party had 2 of the 3 offered. The other 2 entrees were good and very good. Service, unfortunately, was very slow, especially considering the restaurant was almost empty. It has the potential to be a great place, but just not quite there yet."

  • "Overall, the food was delicious except for the caeser salads which were nothing more than a bad chunks of iceberg lettuce with a touch of dressing. The food options for children are not what we had expected. We ordered mac & cheese for the kids but what they got was bowtie fettucini with white sauce. if you have kids, you know this is not what they like. Though the food was good, the prices were very high so I would only recommend this restaurant for special occasions."

  • "I had the duck, which was on the menu for the first time. The breast was good, but the quarter was fantastic! My husband's steak was good, and we both enjoyed the calamari appetizer. Definitely a special occasion place for us, but I would recommend to friends."

  • "Excellent food with attentive but not overpowering waitstaff. Go for the food but also go for the Blue Dog art by Rodrigue."

  • "Our food was very good, but I was disappointed that they were out of FOUR entrees at 6:00 on a Saturday night. No chicken piccata (although they did have chicken Marsala), no 14 oz ribeye, no short ribs, and no fish of the day. Several of us had to go to a plan b because of this."

  • "The filet was cooked perfect but the chef had a heavy hand with the pepper seasoning. When I expressed this to my waiter he replied that it states it is pepper on the menu. I realized this but it was an extreme amount of seasoning. The plate had no visual appeal, mashed potatoes and filet, nothing else on the plate. Needed a little decoration, I know they use edible flowers for decoration. Our plates had nothing There was only one other table at this time in the restaurant. We will go back but I was disappointed in the response about the seasoning and the lack of effort in presenting a more appealing plate."
