  • "Second time I've been to Rock Bottom. First time I had the Lobster and Shrimp Enchiladas, which were really tasty. This time I had the Bison Burger (seasonal menu item). Bison was cooked perfectly. Only reason I'm staying in 3 star range was due to service. Our waitress was a little stand offish, didn't suggest anything as far as drink, which I come to expect in a craft brew establishment. Had to ask for the chipotle mayo that was supposed to be included with the Bison Burger (then it took a long time for a little cup of the mayo to arrive). Drink ran out well before waitress came back by for a refill, and by then I was ready to go. I'd come back, mainly because the beer is good and the food is pretty tasty as well."

  • "Rock Bottom Brewery in Seattle has been a favorite of mine for decades. Good to take a client for lunch, to celebrate a co-worker's birthday, or a date dinner, etc. Food is excellent with quite a variety. Servers are excellent, always. If eating inside, being able to watch a Mariner game on 1 of their many TVs is a great additional perk. The place always feels clean and well taken care of."

  • "The Rock Bottom Brewery is the perfect location for a bite before attending the 5th Avenue Theatre. The restaurant is directly across the street from the theatre. The menu has great options for snacks or full entrees. A varied menu, great tasting beers and refreshing cocktails."

  • "My wife and I ate here before a show at Benaroya Hall (just down the road...) The service was fantastic and our server was attentive without being overly present. She made great recommendations as well. The food was well prepared - simple but tasty. The menu has a good selection for just about any kind of flavor you are looking for. And the food is not as fried / battered / buttered as you might expect from a brew pub restaurant. The drink menu was great and had a selection everyone can appreciate. We will definitely return soon!"

  • "There were 4 in our party, I made the reservation online with Open Table. When we arrived we were seated immediately. Our waiter was awesome! We all loved the dinners we ordered. I had the pulled pork sandwich with the apple coleslaw. Love that you put it ON the sandwich, which is how I learned to eat that type of sandwich. We shared 2 chocolate chip cookie desserts which were really delicious! the house made cookies made the sandwich! We were going to the 5th Ave. theater after dinner and had no problem with time. We enjoyed our dinner without being rushed. We will be back in Oct. before the show Kinky Boots."

  • "We had a recent visit to the Rock Bottom Brewery; the food was good as was the service and I was allow to make substation for a salad instead of the fries / onion rings.....but it was for $2.00 more. The pulled pork this time was a little burnt; next time I'll go back to one of my other favorites."

  • "Thought we'd grab a bite before going to 5th Avenue, as we always do. We rarely go to the Rock Bottom, but it's usually not due to service. Was hoping we could sit outside, but the weather wasn't that great. This time, the service was terrible. Our waiter never checked to see if we needed anything. We always had to ask him. This included silverware, pepper for our salads, spices and grated cheese for our pizza, water refills, etc.. The food was actually pretty good. They just need to pay more attention to their customers. If we had ever seen a manager around, we would have said something to him."

  • "friends and i had dinner and cocktails here before seeing a show at 5th Ave Theatre. service was friendly and efficient, food was hot and tasty, and they've a long, diverse menu. great outside seating, nice bar, tables and booths in the restaurant space. patrons were in very casual wear to prom night formal wear. Rock Bottom is rock solid. "

  • "We had dinner before attending a show at the 5th Avenue theater. The food was very tasty and the service was friendly and prompt. We would recommend this restaurant to anyone dining in the Seattle area."

  • "The service was ok but not great. I got mac n cheese with bacon and it was a bit runny and didn't have a lot of flavor other than the bacon. The shrimp and crab enchalota were good. Overall, it wasn't the greatest but for a inexpensive meal it is a fair bet. "

  • "We went there prior to the performance at the 5th Ave. Food was very good and HOT, Waitress was one of the best I have had in a long time. Great sense of humor and 2nd guessed us before we could even ask, a total delight."

  • "Great service, prompt and went the extra mile in making my favorite drink. The food was affordable and yummy. Excellent choice when going to the 5th Avenue theatre or just downtown. And box the carrot cake for home!"

  • "This is a great restaurant for all size of groups. They had cute booths for families and dates. They had a long table for bigger groups. I went with 12 other people for prom and everyone told me I had picked a really great place. The service was super friendly. Two of the waitresses talked to us about their prom and it was fun to listen to. The interior itself was ambient and energetic, not like the sports bar kind of rowdy. The food was delicious, especially the Chicken Fried Chicken. I got a bite of it from my friend and regretted not ordering it, haha. Rock Bottom is a definite must try! "

  • "I love going here before every show at the 5th but I have seem to have found new wait staff each time in my recent visits? They seem overwhelmed, 10 min for ketchup, 15 min for a drink from the bar. I love going there but am beginning to get frustrated with the long wait. They are friendly and are trying hard but either overwhelmed or not properly trained. Last meal took 1.5 hours without appetizers or dessert. I would hate to give up going here. I will for sure give it another try for the next show... I think."

  • "i only went to this restaurant because it is right across the street from the 5th ave theatre. past visits have been less than par. the service is often extremely slow and uneven. we have at times waited nearly 30 min to be served, while others seated after us, were served. wait staff in the past has been unpleasant and uncaring. HOWEVER, this time, it was different. i was seated immediatley. order was taken in a timely manner, and food arrived exactly as ordered very quickly...and it was delicious. plus, the music was great. • "We barely walked in and gazed around before we were greeted by smiling faces and led to a booth. Our server was friendly as well as funny, cracking jokes with us while taking our order. We ordered a few drinks and were also brought glasses of water. Our appetizer was the Ahi Tuna and it was melt in your mouth delicious. The sauce was so good that I wanted to lick the whole thing clean! For dinner, we split two entrees: the shrimp and lobster enchiladas, and the pulled pork sandwich. First off, the enchilada portion size was enormous! And a variety of yummy sauces. The apple cole slaw on the pulled pork was the best I've ever had. For a side, we chose the Mac and cheese, and I was in homemade cheesy heaven. We will definitely be going back!"

  • "A few of us like to go out once a month on a Friday night after work on a payday. This month we pick Rock Bottom. I set the reservation for six of us to have dinner there, but at the last minute one of my co-works could not go. I did not have time to change the reservation so when we got there I told the hoist it was now for five not six. We also told our server and the sixth place setting was not remove and our server keep asking us if we wanted to wait for the sixth person. The restaurant did not seem very busy, but our server did not come to check on us very much, took a while for our food to come, and after we were done eating some of our plates where not removed."

  • "We were a party of 6 going to the theater across the street. Our service was so slow that if we had needed to walk any further to the theater we would have been late. One of our party had a hamburger and it was over cooked. 2 of us had Fish & Chips. the Fries were not fresh nor hot. the fish was tough and the batter was not crisp. I would say this was my worst fish and chips ever. We also ordered Calamari as an appetizer. I was not impressed. I will not be back."

  • "I've been there 2x in the last 2 months. The first time my Turkey burger was raw and I turned it back in thinkin I'd definitely get eColi. the waiter left with it and never came back . We had theater tickets for the 5th Avenue so we had to go and I didn't get dinner . GRRRR then 2 nights ago, we tried it again as it's so convenient to the theater.....again, bad food - my Baja Chicken burger was dry and bland, no flavor in fact and like eating a door stop. I never say never but I'm pretty sure I'm not ever going back. Which is so sad to me because i like the ambiance and location so very much."

  • "Rock Bottom is perfect either before or after a show at the 5th Avenue Theater as it is located directly across the street, is convenient, and you won't have to re-park your car! Amazing burgers, great beers on tap, friendly staff. This is my 'go to' place when I come downtown."

  • "Enjoyed the Classic Burger at lunch for $9.50. The burger was nicely topped with melted cheddar cheese (several cheese types were offered), lettuce, tomato and red onions. The burger came with a choice of one side. Selected the French fries from several choices offered."

  • "We had met for a meeting and I had requested a quite table for our group of 6. We were given a VERY small and cramped table at the front of a section where everyone needed to walk past to get deeper into the section. There appeared to be a number of open tables available that would have allowed us to have our meeting documents and conduct the meeting while eating comfortably. They mixed up orders and were not very attentive to detail. We will not be going back for another meeting because they surely did not consider our requests and we do these meetings every month."

  • "One member of my family is vegetarian, but she is used to having somewhat limited options. Rock Bottom had almost NO choices. Of their half dozen salads only one didn't have meat. Their mac and cheese has chicken! How does chicken improve mac and cheese?! She chose a vege pizza but was unimpressed and didn't take the leftovers back to her dorm. So, the repetition of dorm food was more appealing than restaurant leftovers. Many families have a vegetarian or two. We don't go back to restaurants that don't make all of us feel welcome. It would be easy to mention vegetarians on the menu (shows that you want them as customers). The menu could identify salads and dishes that can be prepared without meat. Good location: across from 5th Ave Theatre."

  • "We usually eat at Rock Bottom before we go to the show. It's usually very good but this time was great! The food was perfect and the service was right on. The restaurant has a rush of theatre goers and always handles it with grace and efficiency. We will go back before each performance."

  • "very convenient to the 5th Ave. Theater! Didn't even have to go out in the cold from the parking garage as it is in the Rainier Tower across from the theater and there is an underground walkway."

  • "The experience of using the Open Table to make a reservation was great. I didn't have to worry about finding a # to call for reservations and it was easy considering I thought I was late in booking. I think that my group of four enjoyed the food. I have eaten often at Rock Bottom as it is close considering I work in the Rainier Tower."

  • "The location, ambiance and service here are all "good"; it would be a great place to meet "the guys" after work for a beer or 2 and then head out someplace else to eat. We had lunch there; both of us had the Ahi tuna salad and it was fair at best. The salad was nothing special; it just looked like someone had opened a Trader Joes / Freddy Meyer's bag of field greens and plopped it on the plate. The tuna was also fair at best. Given the burgeoning foodie scene downtown these days, there are many other places I'd recommend over Rock Bottom for lunch. Beer > yes! Food > no!"

  • "Everything was great except: we ordered 2 desserts at 6 20. At beginning of our meal at 5 30 we warned waitress that we had to be done to br at thestre show before 7pm. By 6 45 still hadnt received dessert yet. We cancelled dessert order since we had no time to eat it. That was disappointing for us and for the waitress."

  • "We ordered a salad, hamburger & pasta. Nothing happened for 20 mins. then our hamburger & pasta came, cold - no salad, it came about 2 min. later after we reminded the waitress. To be fair, there was a group of 25 next to us who were just being served and waited upon. We were neglected, and sadly so was our food. It's a good place for nachos, or something small, but don't expect a nice dinner experience. Too bad, we have been there many times and probably won't go back."
