Small menu but a nice variety of dishes. Being a bread fiend, I LOVED the foccacia they had in the bread basket."

  • "We ate at Rocca on a Saturday night. We arrived 15 mins before our reservation and had to wait 15 minutes exactly for a table. It was packed. This was no fault of the restaurant - we just happened to arrive early and hoped we might be lucky. Focaccia bread was amazing, they had a seafood linguine special that was very tasty and we also had the veal saltimboca which was as nice as I have eaten in the finest restaurants in Rome. Would highly recommend this place once you have a reservation"

  • "I'VE BEEN HERE A FEW TIMES; RESTAURANT DOESN'T DISAPPOINT. SERVICE WAS EXCELLENT. WAIT STAFF UNOBTRUSIVE, AND KEPT A GOOD EYE ON THE TABLE. BEVERAGE WAS REFILLED WITHOUT ASKING. VERY ACCOMODATING WHEN APPETIZER AND SALAD SPLIT WITH FRIEND. ENTREES WERE SERVED PIPING HOT WITH A NICE PRESENTATION. STEAK WAS FLAVORFUL AND VERY TENDER. FRIEND ENJOYED THE LAMB SHANK. THE RESTAURANT WAS PACKED; NO EMPTY TABLES, SO MAKE SURE RESERVATIONS ARE MADE. ONLY DETRACTOR, WITH A FULL RESTAURANT, NOISE LEVEL WAS QUITE HIGH, BUT YOU STILL COULD CARRY ON A PRIVATE CONVERSATION WITHOUT RAISING VOICE TO BE HEARD. WILL BE BACK AGAIN."

For dessert we had the creme brulee, so delicious. Rocca is our favorite local restaurant for a nice dinner/special occasion."

  • "Best Server Ever! A lovely young woman with dark hair and glasses was our server Saturday night. Although the restaurant was packed she was patient and so helpful to our 93 year old mother. She listened attentively to her off the menu requests and made it happen without a hitch. Her professionalism combined with great personality were much appreciated!"

The waitperson charged us three items that we did not order though. The error was rectified immediately but if I didn't check the bill, I would have overpaid the bill. Nevertheless, i will go back and try other menu items."

  • "Found this restaurant on Open Table before we dropped our daughter at SFO to catch a flight back to college in Missouri. Great service and served quickly. Ravioli, shrimp appetizer and Caesar salad were all great. I thought the steak tasted a bit off but our daughter enjoyed it anyway. Parking was a bit of a challenge but we were fortunate to find a close spot after driving around a bit. We would definitely return."

  • "We went there for New Year's eve because we were picking up someone at the SF airport. We had been there one other time a few years ago and had a positive experience. This time was completely different. We were there early in the evening and felt rushed to get the table ready for the next guest even though we had a reservation. The biggest disappointment, however, was the food was terrible--almost like Olive Garden or some chain restaurant. It was not the authentic Italian we remembered. We were a party of 4 and all agreed that this was not the same cook as last time."

Service friendly and prompt, restaurant clean and warm atmosphere and the food was very good. Salmon salad - fresh greens and generous portion of salmon (took 1/3 of it home and all others enjoyed theirs. Calamari was crisp and light with plenty of lemon wedge's on the side for squeezing. A welcome break from the hustle and bustle of the holidays"

Also had a bite of my friend's eggplant which was the best thing I tasted and the pesto gnocchi which was good but not made in-house. Overall though there are much better Italian restaurants around."

Also, when the hostess checked us in, she located my reservation and seated us, but then she canceled my open table reservation which I discovered the next day after getting a cancelation notice email. I had to write to open table to get my points restored."
