Both dishes were excellent and the service was friendly and well timed. My real estate clients were visiting from Minnesota. The restaurant was a great place to go to after visiting the Hearst Castle. Everyone enjoyed their meal and the wine. For starters we ordered the pork sopes, which were miniature wheat pastry cups filled with a pork mixture, topped with sauteed red onions and queso. Very, very good. For my main course I ordered the lobster enchiladas topped with crema and fresh avocado and shredded cabbage. Also very, very good. The husband ordered pork chops served over a corn polenta. This was a medium large porkchop, grilled to perfection. The polenta was cooked just right, and served with a sauce or gravy; he said it was excellent! The atmosphere was very pleasant, and I was glad to see no children wandering around. The restaurant has both indoor and outdoor dining, and every table was filled. The food was amazing, offering a healthy and creative selection. While the restaurant has a beautiful ambience and is not necessarily a place to take kids (candles on tables, etc.), we took our (well-behaved) 3-year-old with us and everyone was so nice and accommodating. This was our second experience at Robin's and once again, we had a wonderful meal. The four of us are foodies and we were delighted with creativity of the menu and melding of unique flavors.
