We got the Ribeye for two. The restaurant's decor is breathtaking, and is full of great little touches, like really interesting water pitchers and perfect steak-knives. The food was unbelievable, and the American Kobe Steak was the best steak I ever had- in fact I may need a break from steak for a while out of fear of being disappointed in anything else after eating at Roberts. We did have some comp dollars at the Taj, so we loved the fact that comps were 1-for-1 there- it allowed us to splurge. I can't wait to come back-it'll get us to the Taj, as we liked it significantly better than the Old Homestead...which says something!6/11/2013 12:00:00 AMEnticingThe risotto with mushrooms was absolutely delicious. My nonni made this style risotto for us when we ere growing up. This was the first time that a restaurant made a risotto like my grandmothe made. Although Ive had many great tasting dishes at out restaurants, theirs was always on the buttery side, but Roberts chef made it moist but not overly-buttery and thats the way I like it. We stepped outside of the 'steakhouse' menu a little this time with a veal chop and poached lobster, both excellent. “Hail Caesar” Salad and West Coast Oysters w/ Mignonette Sauce for starters Black Fig sorbet and a Chocolate Hazelnut Bomb closed the deal. The staff at Robert's knows the menu and have been very helpful in guiding us to items we may have passed on.5/15/2013 12:00:00 AMFirst Time VisitThe food was good, service was excellent! My tomato, mozzarella & onion salad was awesome - fresh made cheese! His Caesar salad was "excellent." The steaks were good, though my friend thought the sirloin was a bit on the thin side. Neither of us cared for the sauteed mushrooms, and the asparagus was not noteworthy. The mashed potatoes were quite good. We both had crab Bearnaise on our steaks. It was okay, I would not order it again - expensive and I did not think it really added anything to the steak. My cappuccino was delightful and the desserts were large enough to share.

The filet mignon was cooked to perfection whether ordered medium rare, well done or rare and the strip steak was nothing more than mouth watering. A little dissappointed in our waiter for not giving explicit explanations about the sides we ordered, telling us that they were served family style, leading us to believe that it would be enough for the table of three, when in fact it was really a single size portion. Also very dissappointed that the array of tiny sweets was brought to our table as it was on our last visit. All in all though, I will certainly visit Roberts again on my next visit to the Taj Mahal.4/19/2013 12:00:00 AMWe Love Robert's!!!You will not find a better quality steakhouse (or restaurant) in Atlantic City or anywhere else (unless, of course, you go to one of Robert's 2 NYC locations). I have been coming to AC since 1978 and I regularly dine at NYC's finest restaurants. My GF and I dined at Robert's on two consecutive nights while staying at the Taj Mahal and there is nothing on their menu which can be described as anything less than spectacular ("spectacular" even seems to be an understatement). We have now been there four "unforgettable" times and have sampled their incredible Rib Eye, Filet Mignon, Lamb, Lobster Tail, Seared Sea Scallops, Wild Mushroom Risotto, Crab Cakes & East/West Coast Oysters & all of their sauces are truly "divine". If you ask for salt you get a small bowl with huge chunks of salt that can't be distributed on your meal in a lite manner. Many times during these events the staff is not at their best because they figure the tips will be smaller due to the bill being less. Not so at Robert's. The staff was exceptional, very informed and ready to help in any way. No one went past the table without checking to see if we needed anything. Our waiter was extremely attentive. The place wasn't very busy but it was 9pm on a weeknight. The atmosphere is very nice, understated yet modern. The food itself was delicious. I rarely order steak because I like it cooked well but even with that the steak was juicy, tender and seasoned perfectly.
