  • "The steaks are extremely overrated and overpriced. Service is doting and a bit pretentious. This special "aging" does not make them any better than steaks offered at the other high end steakhouses such as Capital Grill and Mortons. I wouldn't go out of my way to get here unless you are already staying at the Taj Mahal. My wife's ribeye was overcooked and the waitress was reluctant to send it back to the kitchen - she kept having her cut into thicker parts until she found a pink area and then claimed the other areas were overcooked because they are thinner. She did not enjoy it as well as she would have if it was truly cooked "medium" I had the tuna and it was an excellent grade of tuna well prepared and well presented"

  • "We heard all these wonderful reviews so we were excited to try. Very disappointed in pretty much every aspect of the restaurant !! The food was just OK....for the price I would rate it as below average. We are big fans of Bobby Flay's steaks and Roberts has A LOT of work to get on the same page. The service was very, very slow. I ordered a bottle of wine and they tried to sub it with something different without saying anything to me. We would not go back there !!"

  • "I enjoy many AC steakhouses, Knife and Fork, Old Homestead, etc. Roberts was as good, if not better, than Old Homestead, which is my favorite. Better than American Cut at Revel, by far, and the service was outstanding. Our server, Rob, was courteous and knowledgeable, offering several suggestions from the menu. Will be my go-to steakhouse in AC!"

  • "From the moment we walked into the restaurant, we were greeted with consideration, kindness, and professionalism. The restaurant was spacious, clean and the lighting was just perfect. The waiter, Dennis, was knowledgable, patient, courteous, and timely. All of our questions were answered and more. The food was superb! The portions were large enough that we had to take some home with us, which was wonderful in itself since we were able to enjoy it again later. We are looking forward to our next trip to AC so that we can have another wonderful and memorable dinner experience at Robert's Steakhouse-Taj Mahal."

  • "Went for my wife's Birthday. The meal was very expensive. The filet mignon was very good. The whipped potatoes were also great. The head chef we were told is not willing to make any changes to items on the menu.Had a seafood salad as an appetizer and I expected the shrimp to be large. It was kind of disappointing but still had a good flavor. The cheesecake was presented very nicely but a very tiny portion."

  • "This restaurant is one of my favorites in Atlantic City. There was a convention at the Taj during my stay, so of course they all were at the steak house the night I dined there. However, enen though it was crowded, I received excellent service and the food was outtanding. It was noisy, but that's the way steak joints should be. GREAT PLACE"

  • "The restaurant is tastefully decorated with an upscale feel. Their aged rib-eye steaks were the best we had ever had with a nice thick crust on them, cooked to rare perfection. Being dairy and gluten free, I found they were very knowledgeable and helpful and were able to prepare my steak, mushrooms and even a smoked duck salad to fit my allergies! We would definitely go back!"

  • "I took my girlfriend to Roberts at the Taj after reading the reviews as it being one of the best steak houses in AC. Ruth Chris, Mortons and a few others were also on our list but she really wanted to try Roberts. From the enterance you can tell this place took pride in there food and the welcome was great. We had a nice table and the waiter presented them selves very well in the beginning. As the dinner went on i found myself feeling ignored by my waiter. Twice i had to ask for a even after putting my cup out to signal i wanted more. It also felt as if the waiter didnt want to pat our table any attention. He past by outr table three time and went right next to the table next to us."

  • "Went for my anniversary. Walked in gave my name and was asked if I had a reservation. Was asked what type of water we would like. The lady never made eye contact. Server mike very nice asked if we would like a drink. My husband had a wine and I asked for a sweet drink. He recommended a hurricane I asked what that was and was told a tropical drink. My husband was never asked if he would like more wine and even had his glass taken away after he drank it. My drink was not sweet. The food was ok. The manager was not friendly. He checked on the table next to us but not us. We came back since my husband thought he left something behind. He looked at us like we had two heads. My anniversary was not even brought up. Very disappointed."

  • "I went there for Restaurant Week to check it out. Honestly, I loved the food, and presentation, but my medium steak was cooked as medium-well with no pink. Had I been paying $50 a steak I would've sent back right away, but considering the cost, I ate what was given to me. Waiter was phenomenal in the beginning, but after our appetizers were finished, it took a good 15 minutes for anyone to clear our plates and after our entrée was finished, it took nearly 25 minutes for our plates to be cleared. I kind of felt like we were forgotten about and the restaurant wasn't even packed. Overall, the food really was good, but for the price someone were to pay full-price... I'd think twice."

  • "It was my first visit to Robert's Steakhouse - Taj Mahal, but hopefully it will not be my last. The atmosphere was dark but pleasant, typical of many steakhouses. The service was attentive and knowledgeable. There was a fine array of dining choices, even for those who do not like steak. The food was served with attention to detail and well portioned. The steak was tender and cooked as requested. From my opening salad to the closing desert, I found everything wonderful and satisfying. I highly recommend this venue. Well-done, or should I same medium rare!"

  • "We had booked the restaurant on Saturday night, 3/8 with friends for AC Restaurant Week. However, the article didn't specify Restaurant Week ended the night before, Friday night, 3/7, when most restaurants included Saturday night, 3/8. In the AC Press, the restaurants participating were listed on one side of the paper and opened on the opposite side was a huge ad for AC Restaurant Week Mar 2-8 and the price. We all felt it was falsely represented. The purpose of Restaurant week is to try restaurants out of your price range but fairly reasonable and affordable during Restaurant Week. We are downbeach residents, we were anxious to try it but won't go back. The waiters knew how upset we were, however, they said there was nothing they could do."

  • "We celebrated our final Restaurant Week meal here as we were leaving town the next day. Could not have asked for a better way to end our week. This was fantastic. The little extras provided were unexpected & a great touch. All of the staff was not only friendly but also very attentive. After eating steak at another well known steak house the night before, this was a much better experience. This was the way a steak should be cooked. What a difference! This is a definite keeper on our restaurant list. Very pricey for a non Restaurant Week meal but absolutely worth the Restaurant Week price."

  • "My husband has been wanting to eat at Robert's for a long time . Finally on Sat. Night we did. I have to say the food is average and the steaks were just ok. My husband was disappointed with the aged dry rubbed, Bone in Rib Eye. After all the high ratings he was excited to try this cut of meat. A little Chewy and not tender. My brother got the same steak and both were tough. Now, with that said I am picky and will not order steak out until I've seen others . I had the tuna it was perfect and my bros girlfriend had the chicken which was right on . Wine selection is nice (we are Cabs ) and my old Fashion was really good! I would go again because the great ambience and wait staff are very attentive ."

  • "We went during AC Restaurant Week on a Thursday night. Our reservation was for 7:00, so we went a bit early and hit happy hour. They have a great craft beer list and wines by the glass during Happy Hour, and they have an included appetizer featuring a beef slider and other snack food. The dinner was delicious. My husband and I had Caesar salads and the salmon dinner. Others in our party ordered steaks off the regular menu and they looked mouth-watering. It's a bit pricey normally, but we'll definitely go back. The food, drinks and atmosphere are worth it!"

  • "We wanted one of our Atlantic City Restaurant week picks to be a steakhouse. The grilled shrimp salad was excellent. The steaks were excellent but had far too much salt on them. we had a lovely banquet for seating. The service was excellent - the waiter was discreet and the one busgirl was great. I would give it a higher grade except for the excessive salt and the price was extremely high on the regular menu."

  • "Loved this place. Try the Asian Style Tuna Tartare with raw quail egg. beyond great. Staek and crabcakes were both cooked perfectly. Crab cake had very little in the way of filler. Everything was well seasoned. Martinis were large and the server was personable. I would recommend this place to anyone. And the ambiance is quite nice as well."

Restaurant week pricing was lower than the normal pricing, but the entries were the same size. We were introduced to Roberts last year and were so impressed we have come back during the year. I highly recommend Roberts."

  • "My fiancé and I ate here for valentines day dinner. The food was absolutely amazing. Our steaks were cooked perfectly and the sides were huge - big enough to share. There was a hair in my fiance's martini but they replaced it right away and took it off the bill. Our server, Laurel, was excellent as well. I've had better creme brûlée at less expensive restaurants but overall it was a great experience and amazing food. We will definitely come back to Roberts."
