We loved the Sweetbreads, Soft Shell Crab and the classic bone marrow appetizers, and the Pork shank, strip steak and halibut were delicious. Also the Brussels Sprouts are not to be missed. The atmosphere is wonderful, and the bar is well stocked with lots of liquor and wine choices. It was our first time at this restaurant and were slightly apprehensive about the limited menu selection. Our waitress walked us through several items on the menu that we would have never ordered on our own. The food was outstanding and we tried several items that were completely foreign to us. My husband is a chef and this is our go-to dining destination for either a celebration or for the chicken liver on the happy hour menu.

Had a super dinner! Symon rocks! The crust on our steaks (rib eye & strip) was outstanding. Loved the Halibut soup. The Spinach au gratin was rich and outstanding. Both my wife and I rate this one of the top two or three dinners we've had and we're both in our early sixties. Great ambience. Liz , our waitress was outstanding.. (Hope I got her name right.) Everything we had for Restaurant Week was amazing. The tomato soup was spicy with blue cheese and bacon was oscar worthy. The staff has great knowledge and really knows the menu and wine list. Strawberry rhubarb crisp was heavenly. I will be back. The famous brussel sprouts, and rosemary fries are a decadent delight. Only bad note: the dessert was delicious, but very small. I eat out a lot. My experience with wait staff is always an enjoyable one. The wait staff at Roast is topnotch! Attentive and kind, and quite pretty!

It did not disappoint. I loved the decor. It is done in warm, rich tones with an open kitchen design. Our waiter, Keith, was both welcoming and knowledgable of the menu items. The risotto and hanger steak were excellent. We all loved our appetizers as well. For a dinner reservation on a weekend night, I had to book 2 1/2 weeks in advance, but now I understand why. From the fantastic waitstaff to the romantic, relaxed ambiance to the mind blowing food - I give Roast a 5 star rating! The wine list is extensive for wine lovers everywhere. Highly recommend the Grilled Octopus Salad and the Fried Brussels Sprouts!!! :) This restaurant caters to the adventurous eaters and food lovers alike. All of the diners in my group were very happy with their meals. The steaks were prepared perfectly. The lamb tender and well seasoned. The swordfish was delicious and the diner that had the risotto declared it was the best she ever had. We ordered 3 sides to share; sweet potatoes with pecans, grilled brussel sprouts, and spinach with feta. All were very tasty, but the brussel sprouts were outstanding. The strawberry napoleon for dessert was light, and not overly sweet, but rich and satisfying. A perfect ending to our meal. Coffee was strong and good. Excellent wine list. In order to supplement we got the marrow and a side of broccolini as well. Everything was quite good, though for my taste I would have preferred the marrow to be a bit more bare bones so to speak, the cured herb topping overwhelmed the natural flavor. The server was friendly and paced the meal just right. The only thing that bugged me was the i-pad drink menu that continued to thwart my stupid fingers! Great view of Washington Blvd if you are lucky to get that seat. Swordfish was perfect. As was the lamb & hanger steak. I like the idea that the servers can wear jeans with a white shirt/blouse & tie. Dessert was exceptional. A large rotating spit and a high-tech grill project aromas from the open kitchen. We enjoyed the charcuterie and pork belly for starters, both of which had great flavor combinations. The hanger steak was chewier than we hoped but its flavor was excellent. Risotto was respectable the side of spinach & feta was tasty. Not to forget the french fries, a goodly portion of perfect fries. There are three booths in the bar, which however on a Thursday night was extremely loud. We opted for the main dining room, which has no booths but which has only a moderate level of noise. The food was outstanding and the service was exceptional. The Roast decor and ambiance is very inviting, relaxed and upscale. Service is superb and well timed. Our waiter (Should Have Recorded His Name) was well informed on the menus and wine list. All courses were served on time, presented beautifully and at the perfect temperature. The wine pairings were excellent. Each course outdid the previous one, with the pinnacle being Death by Chocolate. The perfect ending, a delicious and creamy Cappuccino. When a good friend was staying at the Westin Book Cadillac it offered a perfect opportunity to meet her for dinner. The restaurant exceeded my expectations. It is beautifully decorated, the service is wonderful, the food was superb and the entire experience was positive. The server made great recommendations for sides and desserts.
