Roaring Fork-Downtown, CongressMother's Day at RFI took my wife and mother to RF Sunday for Mother's Day. It was fantastic! Service was attentive, food was wonderful and atmosphere easy to carry a conversation. Bacon-wrapped pork tenderloin and short ribs were incredible. It was worth it and we weren't in a hurry. But if you're in a rush you might consider somewhere else. We had some outstanding steaks and the side dishes are perfect. Both the downtown and Braker locations in Austin are great. Enjoying the romantic feel or sit in the bar area for a little more lively experience with TVs for the game.

I was with my best friend and both of our fathers. So my only complaint is that my friend got her steak overcooked and my dad got his white wine unchilled. But I believe this might've been a one-time thing. I had the rainbow trout, and my daughter had the salmon. Both came out timely and still hot. My only two complaints would be the the close proximity of tables, and wine selection. The severes were bumping into my daughter's chair while serving the neighbouring table behind us. Additionally, (I am average in size, and) the table to our side was so close that it was a tight squeeze for me to get to the bench seat against the wall, creating quite an awkward entrance and exit from the table. I wanted a great dining experience that was also a great value. We got both and the ladies are still raving about their meals and their evening at Roaring Fork. The beef was perfectly prepared, the service was outstanding, special requests were accommodated and did I mention the food is AMAZING?!?
