The Roaring Fork offers bold American wood-fire cooking with fine dining atmosphere. We serve dinner nightly starting at 5pm and Happy Hour daily from 4pm - 7pm in our bar and lounge area only. Sorry, no reservations for Happy Hour. Our bar and lounge is always open seating. We also serve lunch… Monday through Friday starting at 11am. Reservations are always recommended for both, lunch and dinner. Thank you for your interest and we hope to serve you soon. Continued

"I came to Roaring Forking for an intimate dinner with family and friends on my birthday. The service and the food was great. Their were some familiar food choices along with a variety of different delicacies for my taste buds. It wasn't too upscale but not too causal. It had a perfect medium with a nice ambiance. I would recommend this place if you want to have a nice but simple lunch or dinner downtown."

"Food was outstanding, Had the fondu and pull pork for apitizers. So good, my son took home the remaining amount. Main courses were large portions and good. For desert, the toffee pecan pie was the best combination around pecan pie I have had in a while at a restaurant. Prices were reasonable for the quality and portion size. Service was outstanding with the waiter knowing the menu and helping us determine the best courses to choose. I will definately go back to the restaurant next time I'm in Austin."

"We suddenly found ourselves able to have a date night, and OpenTable helped us choose Roaring Fork Downtown. It was our first visit, and everything was superb---the valet was handy, the greeting was warm, the service was extremely polite and very helpful, and the food was amazing! We definitely recommend the crabcake appetizer and the pecan pie for dessert; my Chef husband had the strip steak and I had the filet, both were great. We highly recommend Roaring Fork Downtown, and it's now on our short list of *2* favorites for date night in Austin."

"I have never had a bad meal at Roaring Fork. As always, I got the Green Chili Stew as an appetizer. It is really, really good, and could be a meal into itself. For the main course I got a short rib, which as also really good.

As far as an helpful hint, always look at their regular wine list, and not the "specially selected" wines they put on a the back of the food menu. These wines, while may be good, are typically outrageously priced."

"I will begin and end by saying that the food was absolutely delicious!! Service was terrible. Saw the waitress less than 4 times and even had to wave her down to refill water. We asked for bread and never received it. I was quite disappointed especially since the place was dead and she only had a hand full of tables. It quickly became the joke of the night. Only because service varies I would highly recommend Roaring Fork. The food was impeccable!"
