It was a nice night so the Host asked us if we wanted to be seated out on the back patio. Night got even better when I noticed they had a favorite cab on the menu. Ordered a cheese plate to go with the wine and fell into the "what looks good" conversation with my wife. Entrees consisted of Crab Cakes & Tuna; both came with risotto & asparagus. Crab and Tuna were quite tasty and cooked perfectly but the risotto was lacking; more like a rice with corn dish than a true risotto. Desert; Bourbon Pecan Pie & Jewish Apple Cake. Wine was great, cheese was okay, entrees minus the risotto were tasty & well prepared. Extremely pleased with the deserts. Overall: Enjoyable to eat outside, polite staff, nice wine selection and food was tasty.

Sorry to say but I would not return to the RoadHouse Grille. The outside patio was very nice, great atmosphere. But that's where it ended. After being seated we waited (and waited and waited) for our waitress to come to the table. It was about 20 min before anyone came to see us. She finally brought us waters and explained the additional menu items for the night. We ordered 2 appetizers and were greatly dissapointed! The mussels we got were decent tasting but 9 of them in one order were not open and therefore not edible. The suck fat fries were nothing more than potato wedges SOAKED in oil. They didn't have any distinct flavor. The tilapia was tasty, but the steak was way over done. We will not be returning to the Road House Grille again.

we've eaten there several times, but never outside. this time, since we had our dog, we ate on their patio. overlooked a beautiful garden. it had just finished raining, they quickly wiped down the table & chairs, were very attentive, and were kind enough to bring our pooch some water.

Called ahead of time to make sure they had a specific wine. They said they did. When we ordered the wine, we were told they were out. They sent the waiter, not the mature d', not the mgr, not the owner. Food was overpriced and bland. Never again.

The food was ok, too bland. The service was awful. The waitress was abrupt and hassled even though there were only two tables. We waited a long time for her to get our order and when she finally showed up she didn't bring a pad and had to go get it, so we had to wait another 10 minutes for her to come back. I would have come back for the food but I won't be back because of the service.

Keeping it short: This is our second attempt here and was just as bad as the first. Save your money and go to 19 Bella in Skippack or Butcher and barkeep in Harleysville. The Bad * Dinner took 2.5 hours. which was an hour longer then it should have. * The cheese plate looked like it had been left out under a heat lamp for 24 hours * The tuna was COLD. Looked like it was seared correctly but COLD on the inside and very disturbing The good: * Waiter was great * Drinks were good * GF's Small Steak was tasty * Did not charge us for the bad food.

My wife and I had a lovely romantic evening for a Birthday dinner on a Saturday night. We had Robert as our waiter. Excellent service and very responsive to his job. Food was great, hot, and served quickly. A very quiet romantic spot to have dinner. The inside ambience was very nice and inviting. The hostess treated us great and asked us how our dinner was on the way out. We had a Bella Sera Moscato wine that is excellent!!! We would recommend this place to our friends and would go back again in a heartbeat! A hidden gem we will remember to use again. Thank you for a nice evening.

Was in the area a needed a nice place for a business lunch, this place was perfect - great atmosphere, great food and service. Only problem, parking... the entrance to the parking lot is just to the right of restaurant and if you don't look close, you just might miss it. If I lived closer, I'd love to visit for dinner as well... I was very impressed. Don't be fooled by the modest looking exterior, this place is fantastic.

The New Year's Eve menu was very limited. This should have been indicated on line. Half way through the meal my son asked for a refill on his soda, husband asked for a beer and another guest with us asked for a glass of water. She brought the water but never brought the other drinks. At the end of the meal my son stated he didnt get his soda-she never apologized or asked if he still wanted it she just said "well we are very busy"! There were a lot of open tables around us! She never asked if we wanted dessert she just brought the check. When my husband told her he was charged for a beer she never brought, again she didnt apologize she just said she will take it off. It was a long drive for us and definitely not worth the trip!

It was a Friday night in June. We made reservations for 8 PM, expecting it to be crowded. We were tucked away from the bar which would have been great if the place had been crowded but as it was, we felt forgotten. With no one else seated in our room or the adjacent rooms, it wasn't like we could cach the eye of the waitstaff and they certainly didn't come in to see if we needed anything. The food was great but one wonders how much of that was due to being very very hungry by the time it arrived. The place has the potential to be great - nice location, nice looking, good food, decent wine list but it would have been nice to have been treated as if they wanted our business then or wanted us to return. Where was everyone???

We have been to this restaurant several times and never disappointed. The live music from the nearby bar was very nice. The food was perfect. Though the restaurant seems to have had better days it is looking a llittle worn. The tablecloths were vinyl and the pictures were hung crooked and uneven.

We dined with both of our mothers at Roadhouse Grille on Saturday afternoon for an early Mother's Day celebration. Although we all enjoyed our meals and our server was great, I do not think I would be rushing back for another meal. Nothing really stood out and things seemed to be a bit disorganized for dinner even though we were there at 5 o'clock. If we happened to be in the area on a nice day, I would stop in to sit on the patio as it looked like it would be a relaxing place to sit when not raining.

For a Friday night they were NOT busy and the table near us was also having food issues. Food took a long time and taste was fair. The worst cappuccino in the world. It was the first time we were there in 2 years and it will be another 2 years before we ever go back. Sad for them as it used to be nice.

We went to lunch at the Roadhouse Grill for my son's graduation. They have a good choice of sandwiches and other options, and the prices were not outrageous. We were the only table inside the restaurant and two small tables outside on a Friday afternoon. They have a beautiful patio for dining, but our group was too large. Our wait service was very courteous, but very slow and sometimes forgetful. If not for the mandatory 20% gratuity for parties of 6 or more, I would have definitely left less of a tip.

This was by far one of the most disappointing dining experiences I've experienced. Our reservation for five people left us sitting literally in the middle of hallway next to the staircase! Four of the Five chairs were not even dining chairs! They were fully upholstered lounge pieces that should have been discarded years ago. While the Sunday Brunch buffet in prior years had been well suited for a holiday celebration, the selection was horrible!!! They did not any fresh fruit and the hot foods were about as far from hot as you could get. I am close to 100% positive that the waffles came directly from an Eggo box. The staff didn't appear to know who was doing what..... All in all a HUGE disappointment

We made a reservation for the Roadhouse Grille, but we seated in Brasserie 73, a different restaurant next door. The menus on line were very similar so we did not question this, but in truth we were put in the more $$ dining facility. We did not understand this mistake until we came home to recheck our original reservation which proved our first intent. The food was very good, but one diner in our party had a piece of plastic in the lamb. The maitre'd did offer complimentary dessert to the group of us. The service was also very good and attentive. The decor is a bit dark and heavy---do not understand the animal head over the fireplace and heavy cornucopias handing on the walls and how they mix with the French overtones.

This was our second visit to the Roadhouse Grill and our experience was very consistent with the first. That is a compliment -- consistency is very important. We foodies also found the food to be very good. Not in the stratosphere, and if food was the only thing that mattered, we would be regular customers of this pleasant locale. But the service is inexcusable. The wait staff was pleasant, but "missing in action". On both visits, the food came very late - at our second visit it was an hour and half after our seating time. It was not a busy night at the restaurant and the server provided no explanation or apologies. So another Skippack restaurant that just doesn't get it...experience is everything.

This is one of our favorite restaurants in Skippack. The food is good and the aervers are generally friendly. You can't tell from the street, but there is a very nice outdoor dining area behind the restaurant. There is more than one dining room and the bar gets very noisy sometimes, so you may want to sit farther away. If you like a bar atmosphere, they have high tops in that area.
