RIVUE Restaurant and LoungeThe service was great....The service at Revue was outstanding. The server was very attentive and on top of things. We didn't order any alcholic beverages because we are non-alcoholic drinkers. We ordered coffee and water and our server was quick to re-fill our drinks. The coffee was excellent...one of the better coffees I've drank. As far as the food, the potato rosemary bread was very good; it was served with a spat of butter with garlic and pesto which gave it great flavor. My wife and I both had the Revue salad; the dressing needed seasoning. I had the Laganette Pasta as my entree and it was grossly over salted. It was too salty to enjoy. Service was great from beginning to end, amazing food, wine, music. The view was beautiful over the river and downtown Louisville. The atmosphere was romantic , the service impeccable , and the dining was beyond delicious . The Rivue restaurant and lounge exudes class from the time you step off the elevator at the top of the nostalgic Galt house. The staff was as gracious and accomadating with what was a menu of taste , texture, and delight.The best dining experience and celebration my lady and I have ever experienced in Louisville. The location and view are outstanding, the food is good and the service is exceptional. We have always been very satisfied with the service, food and price. This last sitting on May 10, 2013, we had a party of 7. One of the seven meals, the Cog au Vin, was returned to the kitchen. This was the first time my father ever returned a meal. The chicken was very dry (although all dark meat was requested) and there was no sauce. Every other time Cog au Vin has been my father's choice for a meal, all over the world, it comes with a sauce. This version has no sauce. Regardless, the server brought him something else and we were not charged for this one meal. We finally had the opportunity to this past weekend with some friends. The revolving restaurant sounded kind of kitschy but it was actually quite nice. The food was very good and our waiter was very warm and friendly. The actual time from being seated to leaving the restaurant was about 3 and a half hours. A bit too long and we were ready to go by the time they rolled the "complimentary candy cart" our way. The only problem was that we were seated next to a family of 4 with 2 small children who were loud and the parents let them run all around. Not the restaurants fault but the fault of the parents. We were there for a romantic evening and it kind of got ruined by the kids. The parents should have handled their children. We almost didn't go because of that. However, we were visiting Louisville for the first time and decided to go for the experience. We were very glad we did. We both had fish, which was excellent. It happened to be 1/2 price night for bottles of wine, which was a bonus. Service was attentive without being intrusive.
