Diner Reviews
  • "Althought the experience overall was pleasant, I thought that it was over priced. "

  • "Made reservations for Rivue well in advance and went there for the view. Unfortunately we were seated at the back of the room facing the kitchen service area . Not good, since there were other open tables the entire time we were there in better locations. So no view. Food was just OK, and we felt very overpriced. Felt like we did not get our money's worth (not even close) from this Easter Brunch. We have been to Rivue for dinner and had a much better experience. Would not go back for brunch."

  • "Athough there is only so much you can do with a buffet brunch, the food selection was good, but the service was excellent. The view was spectacular as usual."

  • "The service was outstanding and very entertaining. Our family will be back as our teenage sons loved the food and enjoyed the friendliness of the staff. We will be coming back!!!"

  • "Another great dining experience. This was the first evening dining, had prevously weng for brunch. Dinner was exceptional, recommend the spinach salad. The view of the sunset from top floor 25 stories up made for a perfect evening."

  • "We used to go to the top of the Galt House for impressive business meals. Now our family goes there for special occasions and any other time we want to make special. The scenery and atmosphere is unsurpassed by any other venue. The decor is very stylish, like being in NYC without all the fuss. The staff always performs at a superior manner from wait Captain to water boy. The food presentation and taste never fail to amaze. And the pianist is excellent. We just wish we could go there more often."

  • "We all felt the decor, ambiance and relaxed atmosphere were perfect for our dinner. An upscale look with a welcoming aura! We left happy, full and pleased we had chosen Rivue. The service was well timed, the food delicious and beautifully presented. Well done!"

  • "I have been there a few times will go again. The whole experience was marvelous, this will be a ideal place when people come tp visit me. The location.and food was extraordinary. My sister who can tp town loved it. My mother would appreciate it becouse her brother was a Chef, so if he was still alive he would appreciate it as well. Thanks for the best of what Louisville has to offer for a fine dining experience. MARCUS SCOTT FROM HAMPTON VA."

  • "Galt House 25th floor revolving view of Louisville, excellent food, great service. Perfect."

  • "We recently dined at Rivue for their Sunday brunch. The service was excellent. The view is terrific. The staff is professional and efficient. A great place to go for a special occasion and for brunch. Be aware though that they do not open for Sunday brunch until 10 and you cannot go up on the elevator before 10. There is no sign posted in the lobby about this which led to a lot of confusion and frustration ( and anger by some waiting) for those trying to keep their 10:00 reservation."

  • "Great food in a good atmosphere with an awesome view. The menu was a pricey but the food was every bit worth it."

  • "Excellent crab cakes and salad. Good pasta entree, but outrageous portions and we split it! Great view in this revolving restaurant."

  • "Wow the view!! Booked this restaurant for the view and because they offer tables that rotate around the view! Wasn't exactly as I expected as in Atlanta, Seattle, New Orleans, Las Vegas - well every other rotating restaurant the view is a complete circle around the city they are in. Here, the window only covers 1/2 of the seating area so your table isn't by the window the entire time. The food was very expensive, due to the view. My friend's steak was over cooked, although she ate it. My lamb chops were wonderful, the veggies it came with not so much. Don't do desert, as they give you 3 pieces from the free candy cart."

  • "Service particularly was outstanding. Pork dish was very, very nice. Overall high marks!"

  • "There brunch is amazing would recommend to any one, the view is great but it's probably even better at sunset. The food was great so many options and it was all great."

  • "This was a very special occasion, as my brand new wife and her (2) kids (young teens) celebrated our wedding at Rivue. Any words that I write here will pale in comparison to our actual visit, as the experience was even more that we could have asked or hope for. From the outstanding service to our dinners (and drinks), everything was so so very good. If you are looking for a romantic spot or place to celebrate a very special occasion, then I highly recommend the Rivue. May I also recommend the "white sangria" and the small baby spinich salad. You will not be disappointed with the choices available for your main course."

  • "Celebrated my Mother's 81st Birthday. The staff wished her Happy Birthday individually as they were around our table. Very nice and no singing. Food espeically the made to order eggs and Sherri our server was very personable and attentive."

  • "They offered a 3 course meal special which included a bottle of wine for 2 for only $99. I had a seafood medley which was wonderful and my husband had a steak. Also, the salad and dessert were also wonderful. The wine was full bodied just like we like. The view of the Ohio River was grand. The women's NCAA, Maryland Univ was there the same night with about 60 people and we hardly knew they were there with us."

  • "Overall the food was okay. The best part of our meals was the salad. We chose this restaurant for the view, which is great. But nothing else stood out. Our server was not confident or happy to see us. We were not served bread at the beginning of our evening. My parents had called a head to surprise us and pay towards our bill, they were told a card would be placed on our table to let us know, however, that never happened and when the server awkwardly told us someone paid part of our bill we were shocked and thought for sure that was for another table. All though things could have been done differently and I think the food could have been better, the view was worth paying for."

  • "We went for Sunday brunch and took our 3 kids who are 3.5, 18 months and a week old. We also took both sets of grandparents. Everyone had a great time. The food selection was excellent - there was something for everyone. The omelet bar and the dessert station were my favorites. The view was beautiful and our kids loved how the restaurant rotated. I would highly recommend this place."

  • "It started with the hostess, who was very inviting and fun to interact with while being taken to our table, which happened at the time our reservation was for. Then the great experience continued as our waiter, David, took care of our every need as well as some that we weren't used to having taken care of. He was fun, vibrant and most importantly, REAL! He made us feel as though we were the only ones in the restaurant even though we weren't his only customers! The menu was diverse and even the "Two can Dine for $99" had a great selection. The meal was prepared, plated and served perfectly. The Seafood Garganelli was delectable and the 12 ounce New York strip melted in my mouth! All in all, this was a great experience!! Highly Recommend!!"

  • "Love the revolving view. Our server, David, was outstanding and a charming personality!! Our entrees were delicious. The after-dessert tray was a delightful finish!! The live piano ambience was perfect for this very special Louisville setting."

  • "Service was excellent, polite and tentative. Completely thought out, well matched, courses that flowed across my palette in rhythm from appetizer to dinner to the most amazing dessert I've ever had. Have to eat here every time we're in town."

  • "My wife and I ate here as part of the 502 week and we were pressed for time as we were going to a basketball game that evening. Our server anticipated that situation and did an outstanding job of making sure we had a great expericence without feelign rushed. We had our choices of the 502 menu, the 2 for $99 menu, daily specials and the regular menu. With his guideance we ened up choosing from the 502 menu. Unlike some of the other resturants who participate in 502 week, Rivue serves full portions of everything. Our scallops and venison tacos for appetizers were amazing. We both had the Mahi Mahi for an entree and it was fantastic. Homemade candy from the gratis "candy cart" was a great way to top off a wonderful meal."

  • "Rivue is one of the best all-around places. It is a great place to take out-of-town visitors to see the whole town. The service is outstanding! It's also a great place to have an upscale dinner with friends or a quiet romantic dinner."

  • "We thought it was great. We did feel like it took a long time after we received our drinks to receive bread. And after that too long to get salad and then entree. We sat down at 845 and meal didn't come until almost an hr after that. We understand the whole experience but just felt the time in between was a bit long. Thanks!"

  • "A great view of the river and the down town. Very classy setting and a great chef. We had an excellent server who was conscious about our plans for the orchestra and kept things on time. Unbelievable appetizer trays and wonderful main dishes. My guests and I felt great."

  • "We went for Sunday brunch. We had reservations and I am assuming that is the way to go as you are seated at a more desirable table. We had a two year old with us. Staff was very accommodating with her. The food was excellent."
