Riverview RestaurantGreat Food!We have been to Riverview before and this time did not disappoint. The food was excellent and the service was good as well. Since the weather was mild we sat outside and thoroughly enjoyed the view overlooking the Sandy River. The New York Steak was very delicious but my favorite was the spinach salad. We had no expectations, which made it even more lovely. Ed was great. The selections were good. Although, they were out of two of the menu items, there still were choices, we could pick from. We had three different plates and each of us really enjoyed what we had. Will definitely make plans to go back and bring friends and family.

The food was spectacular (best cup of clam chowder i've ever had). Our waitress was extremely nice and helpful. Luckily, it was sunny and warm so we sat outside. The view in the forest is a perfect backdrop for a wonderful dinner. This was our 5th visit in the last year and I would highly recommend it for a romantic dinner, great happy hour, beautiful views, and the best outdoor seating in the Portland area. The food was good, but our service was atrocious. We had a groupon so decided to give Riverview one more chance. This was a totally different experience. The food was great. My wife and I went last Friday and were immediately impressed with the location and then with the service. However, when the food arrived we both thought it was ok, but definitely not worth the price. Our experience was that our meals were comparable to that offered by food chain dining restaurants (locally we both thought the fare was comparable to that offered by a Shari's). As a result, we were both disapointed with our experience.
