Diner Reviews
  • "Had dinner with friends to celebrate two birthdays. Location is beautiful. Sat at an out door table. Opened my menu and there was a personalized "Happy Birthday" message for me and my other friend who was celebrating her birthday. Nice touch! Food was great! Every item was more delicious than the next. Service was fantastic. I have already booked two more reservations there in the next two weeks."

  • "Riverpark combines superb food with a memorable view and lovely atmosphere along the East River. Our salads were scrumptious with crisp, fresh greens and vegetables seasoned perfectly. The entrees were delicious as well. Since it was a beautiful, clear evening ,we had cocktails outside which was lovely. However, the noise of the traffic on the FDR Drive made us opt for dinner inside, where it was nice and quiet. This was my first visit to Riverpark, and I'll definitely be back!"

  • "I love Riverpark. There is nothing like sitting outside looking at the East River while sipping a cocktail. And that is just the beginning. Food is magnificent here. The pastas are beautiful, fresh with amazing flavor combinations; bigoli w/ ramps & charred onions. Seafood is beautiful: scallops w/moral mushrooms...Not to mention to famous "cereal & milk" dessert. For a calm relaxing summer evening in Manhattan, try to get an outside table and have dinner at Riverpark. We will always go back with and without friends."

  • "Been to many Tom Colicchio restaurants and this was just average and adequate food in a very pretty, high end surrounding. There were 4 of us so I got a good sense of what they have to offer. Everything looked and tasted OK and expect tourists from cities that do not have food scenes would be pleased. Nothing was bad but nothing excelled. Recommend it mostly for location and quiet - a reason we picked the place. Most interesting (to us) part was they have their own "farm" on site for growing some produce and only found out about that when looking at the web site - totally underplayed and not mentioned on site as that could have made the meal special."

  • "Flawless execution, outstanding services, view of the east river, comfortable space, and delicious inventive foods! What more can one asks for?"

  • "Both my wife and I totally enjoyed this dining experience. The food typical of every Colicchio restaurant we have eaten at was excellent. The rabbit dish which my wife ordered almost made her swoon. The setting on a warm summer night sitting outside with a view of the East River was perfect. The only drawback the sound of the cars speeding by on the FDR Drive."

  • "So-so food. Nothing I have ordered there has ever really tasted like you would expect the menu description to. Even something as basic as a green salad had some mystery ingredients that threw the whole thing off. I would go there for the view and good service."

  • "Celebrated Anniversary here last week, highly recommend! As requested we got a table with a great view of the East River; we started with a glass of Sparkling Wine & a greeting from the manager. For appetizers we ordered Charcuterie & Goat Cheese Panna Cotta. For entrees I had the LI Sea Bream & he had the Bacon-Wrapped Pork Loin, both very good. We complimented our lunches with a bottle of 2011 Copain Touse Ensemble Shiraz. For dessert he enjoyed the "Cereal & Milk" & I enjoyed the Basil Cream Puff. The waitress brought us complimentary red dessert wines to compliment our after lunch selections. The menus had "Happy Anniversary" on them as did our dessert plates! Everyone keep wishing us a Happy Anniversary, a great personal touch!"

  • "A great place for brunch! We had cinnamon donuts, fried chicken and waffles, breakfast tacos, and asparagus frittata at our table. All were excellent. We also had the Mimosa which was not the run-of-the-mill champagne and orange juice, but a perfectly balanced, delicious blend of Prosecco, orange flower water, seemingly fresh-squeezed orange juice, and some French cognac. The indoor decor is attractive and serene; great outdoor seating options also overlook the water. Resist the urge to turn around when you first arrive - this place is in an office building just beyond the old Bellevue buildings - and make your way to this restaurant. It's well worth it. We'll definitely return!"

  • "The food was outstanding, and the service matched the food. We celebrated our anniversary for dinner here, and we enjoyed the ambiance tremendously. The arancini and hamachi were excellent, as was the salmon tartare; the scallops and rabbit were excellent. The dessert, which we usually do not order, was out-of-this-world. We'll be back!!!"

  • "This restaurant is in a stunning yet oddball location -- far east side of Manhattan amidst all the hospitals, in a generic office building that seems more Atlanta than NYC. Yet it's a gorgeous room with wonderful river views. The food, however, was a disappointment. Each plate had two or three ingredients too many and much of it didn't work. A rare miss by Colicchio."

  • "River Park is a gorgeous restaurant with the added advantage of the outdoor patio overlooking Brooklyn and the East River. A party of four, we enjoyed East Coast Oysters, White Asparagus Gazpacho with green almonds, cucumbers grapes and nasturtium... a delicious sensation, Bigoli pasta w/ charred onions, ramps, charred breadcrumbs another winner. Sweetbreads w/Fresno chile, sugar snap peas, crispy ginger and lemon purée, and a signature dish of Hamachi/Avocado salad with charred chile, spicy and delicious. We had an accommodation for a vegetable plate that had a wonderful combination of greens, egg, fava beans with a Mediterranean twist. We enjoyed Sisha Ortúzar's inventive menu. We'll be back to sample more."

  • "Appetizer and entree were great. We had the lemon tart for dessert that was disappointing. We also ordered espressos that came before our dessert and the waitress had a bit of an attitude when we pointed it out. Overall though I had a good time and it still is a restaurant that I enjoy. I would definitely come again and recommend to friends."

  • "Added extra dish in our bill.Even same was done for the folks sitting next to us. It took super long for the food to come even though it was not crowded.Very rude behaviour towards us for my 11 month old kid. Patio area was super small. The server were confused .. Would not recommd this to anyone"

  • "I was looking for a good outdoor place we'd never been to before... Without a "Soho House" scene. As soon as I saw Riverpark is a Colicchio restaurant, I made a reservation; his others are so beautiful and the food is excellent that I just went with it. I'm so happy I did. It is an incredibly beautiful restaurant, the food is amazing and it is tucked away far on the East side ... Behind Bellvue Hospital.. :) I love Tom Colicchio and will definitely be going back over the summer."

  • "Went for a graduation dinner- early evening, so restaurant was very quiet. Wanted to be on Lovely terrace overlooking east river, though weather was terrible, so we were inside on upper stage. A bit removed from the view, but still lovely, and the room is gorgeous. Service was friendly and excellent. Food was great and overall well-priced. Would highly recommend."

  • "Food and service is Always wonderful! Had trouble getting a cab in the rain. Staff was no help with that. In the past they had called a cab for us.. But this time they would not. We weren't happy."

  • "Accidents do happen but it is also about what follows. The waiter's tray tilted and the wine glasses and bottle wine fell. While the bottle hit the floor and remained intact the glasses shattered and we had glass shards all about us. The manager came over but all they did was clean up. It would have been better to move us to another table. And would have been smart to offer something on the house for the inconvenience. We were very lucky to not get hurt. That aside service for an early Sunday afternoon was very slow and inattentive. It took a long time between our appetizers and getting the main dishes. Food was good but on our prior visit was better. For a restaurant of this caliber, they need to do better."

  • "A little out of the way but worth it. We had a table for two in a corner that gave us great views of Long Island City. It was a nice, quiet, relaxing dinner with my husband. Will definitely go back. Great place to bring out of towers and they have a nice outdoor dining section. We didn't use it, but our waiter said that they give you free three hours of parking when you dine."

  • "The best part was the EXCELLENT (but never cloying) service. We sake to sit outdoors but soon became too chilly and they changed our table to a window seat indoors. Extensive and expensive wine list. The chef made tasty and rich combinations of flavors in each dish. We were there for a celebration and they made it special."

  • "We've been Tom Colicchio fans for years but were still blown away by how good the food was here. Highly recommend the octopus, the hamachi and avocado salad, the monkfish wrapped in bacon, and the "cereal and milk" dessert. Very good service too. The restaurant seemed to be doing brisk business for a summer Friday evening, helped no doubt by its extensive outdoor seating (dining al fresco next to the FDR is not my thing, but the view of the East River was indeed lovely). If you're a recent college grad living in the Kips Bay/Murray Hill area, this is where your parents should take you out to dinner!"

  • "We all had a wonderful time at Riverpark. The food was terrific, the waiter recommended an excellent Pinot Noir and the view in incomparable. We ate outside overlooking the river and it was very easy to converse with my friends. And it was very reasonably priced compared to many of the other restaurants I've been to with this group of people. I would highly recommend Riverpark for either a special occasion or just a quiet dinner."
