My fellow didn't even mind that his veal was a bit overcooked, nor did my mum mind that her lamb was a tad under. My halibut was perfect. Food is overpriced but then I find it hard paying $55 for a steak at any restaurant and this is a pretty high quality one - my rib eye was rich in flavour and a very good portion (16oz). The chef is a genious and it is always a great night out and worth every penny!! The olive festival I thought was some of the best food I have ever tasted until the Cheese festival, delicious. The service on both occasions was impeccable and beyond what we had expected. The chef came out to talk to our table as well as others and this was a nice touch. The food and service were good as usual. The steak was a little overcooked for my taste but not necessarily incorrect (a slightly more medium medium-rare whereas I prefer it a little closer to rare), but everything else was delicious. About the only negative I have to say about this restaurant is that the 'tasters menu' is nothing special and only three courses. I would like to see smaller portions than are served on the regular menu and more courses, but again that's my preference. I think this is a really great higher-end restaurant that could easily cross the line into fine dining with a few minor tweaks.
