"We met friends who were new to Jacksonville. River City Brewing Company fit the occassion perfectly. The fish special, blackened, was excellent. The portions were just right for all of us. We sat by a window overlooking the river and then walked around taking in the views of downtown. This is a great place to take in Jacksonville."

"We were in town for a show at the Florida Theater. River City was a good choice for pre-show dinner, being just across the river from the theater. The food and service were both good. It seems like a "dependable" spot, and there's nothing wrong with that. There was just nothing outstanding about it. The view is nice, looking across a marina area. It looks like they have a private dining area on the 2nd floor. We were early on a Friday night and there was not much of a crowd, which was helpful so we didn't have to worry about being late to the show. Overall, a good pick."

"Our recent Easter day visit to River City Brewing Company was successful and wonderful. The food was tasty and varied. The service (two waiters covered our table) was excellent. They were attentive and in some cases even anticipatory. We spent two hours enjoying our meal and no one hurried us. The view from the restaurant (both inside and out) was beautiful."

"Service was very slow and we almost missed our concert. The jambalaya included minimal seafood and was covered with a heavy, heavy dose of melted cheese which made it almost inedible. The salmon entries were very good.
The manager was very helpful in speeding service along and then without my asking, looked at the Jambalaya and offered not to charge for it."
