A word from Rivals Waterfront Sports Grille - Westin Diplomat Resort and Spa
Rivals Waterfront Sports Grille is a casual, comfortable restaurant and meeting place, featuring a polished service style and ambience. It is showcased by a Chef inspired American menu with a global edge. The open kitchen allows guests to take note of the culinary expertise in a front row seat. A streamlined, simplistic, yet profound mixture of martinis, drafts, and wines completes this creative food and beverage experience.

Rivals" interior ambience is driven by an edgy, classic rock soundtrack with a backdrop of sports action; presented on 32 individual high-definition plasma big screens. Large groups are encouraged with two private dining rooms, a semi private championship billiards room and a separated lounge and bar area.

The exterior exudes the calmness and relaxing atmosphere of the dockside with views of the Intracoastal Waterway. Docking for the mega yacht as well as for the casual sailor's ship is encouraged.

  • "We had stayed at the Diplomat in Hollywood Fl. This was the only reasonably priced place to eat there. It was good food. Not so expensive. Just had drinks and appetizers."

  • "There is a great view of intercostal waterway. It is very clean and welcoming, but the bar waitress never smiled and seemed to not want to be bothered ever. It was at the bar area so I tried to strike up a conversation but she was totally cold. If you want fairly decent food and no ar atmosphere then I guess it would be ok. Staying at westin and it was convenient.not sure if I would ever go back due to the cold service."

  • "We went to Rivals to watch the Super Bowl. Our reservation was immediately honored and our seat location was great. The gentleman to waited on us was very nice and made our visit better than the food alone would have. The hummus was very good but the rest of our meals was ordinary at best. But, it's a great place to watch a game!"

  • "My son and I next door to diplomat and spend every Sunday watching my favorite team, The Cleveland Browns and because of the wonderful service from Shani, Saydoe, Ana, Harry, Jean, and Lara, I forget about the team's pitiful performance. I want to commend everyone who works the early Sunday shift. Karen Franklin"

  • "We were staying at the Diplomat and came to Rivals to have dinner and watch the football game. The food and the drinks were okay, but nothing over the top. I had a hamburger and we split one of the flat breads for the table. It was typical bar food. I think it was a bit over priced for the quality of food. Very convenient being located next to the Diplomat which was the main reason why we came here. We probably would not come back just because we thought the food was fair."

  • "We stayed at Westin Diplomat and Rival is across street connected by sky bridge. They were extremely busy with two large conventions at hotel so service was a bit slow although friendly. Flatbread pizza was excellent. Nice view of intercostal."
