"We moved to New Mexico about a year ago after living in some of the larger East Coast cities replete with many excellent restaurants. (This includes Philadelphia, NYC and Providence). Until now, we have not found our A list favorite for special occasions. Not only is the food outstanding, the menu features some unusual items like Elk and the lamb shank is truly excellent. Unfortunately, I will now need to wait for my birthday in late fall to go back again."

"Our first visit to Ristra, we were surprised at its high quality of food and service, and tasteful decor. In a town of great restaurants, it certainly earns a place in the top ranks. We must admit, however, that the $$ rating on Open Table is inaccurate; it should be $$$. We spent $125 for two with one bottle of wine. The modest wine list, BTW, has some good selections at reasonable prices."

"A long time favorite in Santa Fe for food ambience and service. This time server was not attentive. Entrees were almost stone cold even though the restaurant was decidedly not busy. Food was reheated but then meat ended up being overdone and plate messy.
This happened even though there were only three of us at our table.
No adjustment made in bill. Asked for adjustment for the very expensive entrees which were served cold. A small adjustment made by host. Most likely will not return due to the poor service and the improper temperature of the food."

"Very good food but very noisy. We were seated in the middle room and waitstaff was rushing by, hitting our chairs and bouncing the floor. The crying toddler and whining children didn't help the overall hustle and bustle atmosphere of the restaurant. It wasn't relaxing as the noise and hurrying servers made it seem anxious."

"The staff seemed very rushed and stressed on a busy Sat. this did not result in a relaxing meal. Otherwise---the food was outstanding and the setting nice. It could have been cozy if everyone was a bit more "chilled""

"One of my favorite restaurants in Santa Fe - consistently good. The waitstaff is friendly and professional. The bar section is good for a less formal, but still elegant, dining experience where you can meet with friends, have a drink and a quick bite without reservations. Great deal during restaurant week."
