A word from Ristorante Sicilia Cafe
Sicilia Cafe' is a real Italian Restaurant, with original recipes. Our menu' includes many Sicilian dishes, and from specialties from other regions of Italy. We have great specials that change daily like our Pasta con Sarde, or our Purpu anniatu (octopus in tomato sauce). Make sure to leave room for dessert, the Gelato is all homemade, and was just rated best in Monmouth county.

Sicilia Cafe' e' un vero Ristorante Italiano, con ricette originali. Il nostro menu include molti piatti tipici Siciliani e anche di altre regioni. Abbiamo tanti ottimi speciali che cambiano giornalmente, come la pasta con sarde, o il "Purpu anniatu" ( polipo affogato). Lasciate un po' di spazio per il dessert, il gelato e' fatto in casa, ed e' appena stato nominato il migliore nella contea di Monmouth

  • "They advertise themselves to serve food like your Sicilian grandmother would serve. Far from it. Everything we ate was less than good. Portions were small and my veal saltimbocca was served to me swimming in a chicken broth based soupy sauce - very unappealing. There are so many better Italian restaurants steps away from them. If they want to survive they better get serious about the quality of the food they serve."

  • "All things considered (cost, food, service, friendly owner, space, gelato), this is the best restaurant in the Red Bank area. Surely, there is no better gelato anywhere (ingredients are original, fresh and many from Italy). The menu is interesting and authentically Sicilian (not the usual stuff) since the owner, the owner's family and chef are Sicialian. The pastas are homemade or imported from Italy. The owner is wonderful, friendly and welcoming, making every diner feel special. The servers are knowledgeable, friendly and experienced. This place is a gem that many do not know about because it is at the less-busy end of town."

  • "We njoyed a terrific meal here Saturday night. We were sat timely, enjoyed great food that was well-prepared and of course, the gelato was awesome. Menu is extensive, lots of specials too, hard to make a choice but we went with the veal scallopine with asparagus and mushrooms and the pasta carbonara. Food was served hot, and was delicious. Appetizers were excellent as well. The gelato topped off a very nice night. We will be back."

  • "This restaurant never disappoints. The salads are creative and delicious. Their pastas are cooked 'al-dente', the way they are meant to be, and are never overcooked. They have a friendly and accommodating staff. The egg fettucine with peas and mushrooms in a light cream sauce was excellent. It was a special entree that night, but they should definitely add this to the regular menu."

  • "Although not smack in the center of Red Bank, this location is great for dinner parking. A group of five and no person left a morsel on the plate. Need I say more....perfect chicken, salmon and veal dishes were the consensus around the table. Starter was a mango goat cheese salad, two for the table, with reduced balsamic and again not a leaf was left. The end result was creamy, smooth delicious gelato. Can't wait to dine there again."

  • "Our group of six met for lunch and sat at a round table by the window facing Broad Street. The cloth table cloth and napkins added to the cheery atmosphere of warm, gold walls with Italian ceramic decorations. The lasagna with béchamel sauce was tasty. Other entrees ordered: tuna salad, strawberry salad, hot chicken wrap, shrimp & calamari. Five people enjoyed their entrees. It was noted that the fried shrimp tasted like it had been fried in oil that had a chicken taste. Coffees and gelato were excellent. Service was outstanding."

  • "The food at Sicilia was very good. The presentation of the salads was unusual & nice. The salad special said it had blueberry goat cheese. The pieces of goat cheese were so tiny it was hard to tell if there was any cheese in in. When we asked the waitress about this she almost stuck her finger in the salad to point out a tiny crumble of cheese. The veal special was delicious however for the price it would have been nice to have a little pasta or vegetable on the side. In spite of these less than stellar comments, we would be willing to give the place another try based on how tasty everything was. It's a BYOB which is always a plus."

  • "At first glance, I wasn't impressed because I had to enter the restaurant through the gelateria. However, the dining room was nicely apportioned - comfortable and roomy. Our service was great - we had time to go over the menu and chat without feeling rushed. We had both prix fix selections and ala carte. Entrees were perfect size - not heaping, not teeny and very well prepared. Eggplant parm was grilled (big plus+), not fried, pear and arugula salads were pleasingly plated. Grilled shrimps, spicy vodka sauce and bolognese were all tasty. We didn't miss not having a wine list... this is a BYOB, it allowed us a chance to bring fav selections from home. Don't be put off by the review comments about the bread - I'm glad we weren't!"

  • "We've been eating in redbank for years, and decided to try this place based on open table available reservations on a busy Friday night- and we are certainly glad we did. It may be our new area place! The staff was accommodating and the dining area spacious. The appetizers were creative and well prepared. We had the fried chickpea (although a but too greasy) the brushetta and the hot peppers.. My mango salad - was delicious and fresh... Even my husband liked his chicken (and he is very hard to please). Added bonus was our friends remembered it was BYO and bought along a crispy white to compliment all our meals! We're definitely coming back!"

  • "My bolognese was good, my wife's chicken francaise was good. Her dish could have had a better presentation. The same comment for my brother in laws veal. it was good but a very small portion. Sicilia Cafe needs better bread! I don't understand how Managment serves this awful "sub sandwich" bread? Also put a bottle of olive oil on the table. They really need to improve the ambience and comfort of the restaurant. The chairs are hard wood and very uncomfortable. The floors are awful commercial tiles, put some area rugs over it. The walls are boring and the music system is not good. I would not return to the restaurant until they improved the comfort of the space."
