We have great specials that change daily like our Pasta con Sarde, or our Purpu anniatu (octopus in tomato sauce). Make sure to leave room for dessert, the Gelato is all homemade, and was just rated best in Monmouth county.

  • "The food was good but the service was just fair. We waited to long for are waiter to first come to the table to introduce himself to us. Then his timing was off. He brought a cocktail fork after I was finished with my muscles . He served us coffee but didn't bring milk. Other then that the food made up for us short comings."

  • "Food had no taste....ready in 5 minutes so it seemed like it all was frozen and microwaved....portions small and price high for what you got....everything ala carte....had to go for something to eat afterward.....do not recommend"

  • "Our first experience at this great restaurant. Varied Menu with perfectly prepared italian entrees. Homemade gelato better than gelato we had in Italy. Great service with added touch of complementary limoncello. Can't wait to go back to try other entrees."

  • "We should have suspected something when we were the only people at the restaurant for most if the time we were there. The food here is lackluster at best - everything we tried was bland and boring. The staff were very nice and many were from Italy so we expected much tastier food. It's a shame because they have a lovely outdoor dining area."

  • "Food was very good. We felt kind of rushed, but that may be because it was near theater time."

  • "We came here- two adults, two teens. The menu is diverse. It was able to accommodate a vegetarian and a low carb dieter! Everything was very fresh. My husband said the lasagne was extraordinary! It's a little pricey and no liquor license although you can call a local liquor store which will deliver to your table. We enjoyed it!"

  • "We were a party if 3. We had the rice balls which were excellent (it's so hard to find good rice balls!!), fried calamari, antipasta, and a special mozzarella salad for shareable apps. Dinners were spicy penne vodka with sausage, veal tortellini and chicken franchise. I would not change a thing!! After all if that we had assorted gelatos! Absolutely amazing :)"

  • "The focus is on taste not on amount..and the taste is excellent. Although focus is on taste the portions are really substantial. True Italian cusine."

  • "Food was fresh n well prepared. Staff was helpful but not well informed with question about menu."

  • "It came out both burned and raw! The leaves had the consistency of leather! Stuffing was meager and not very good. Chocolate mousse cake was delicious. The waiter consistently brought out the wrong dishes to our table. "

  • "I was recommended by a friend. Excellent choice. very simple but cozy atmosphere, great service. Prices are very fair. Food is excellent, pasta cooked to order, veal you could cut with a fork. No rush, apps came out, then maybe 15 minutes later dinner was served. Makes for a nice leisurely dinner."

  • "After waiting a good 15 minutes before calling over a waiter (waiter never acknowledged us) we finally received some attention. Service from that point on was okay. Food was not very tasteful. Gelato was good not great. With so many other restaurants I would not go back."

  • "All 3 entrees we had plus 2 kids' menu were all good. One must try their gelato, it is so good!"

  • "Sicilia Cafe lives up to its name - genuine Sicilian offerings, a refreshing change from the usual red sauce, red velvet Italian restaurants in the area. Went there on a recent Saturday night and fortunately made a reservation well in advance - it was sold out for a 7 p.m. seating. Watched several last minute diners get turned away. Quite noisy, due mostly to one table of four who had had too much wine. Really loved the mussels appetizer in a spicy white wine broth, and the Sicialian salad featuring Belgian endive is a nice, crisp plate. Pasta specials were definitely good choices (mine being a linguini, mushroom, peas and ham preparation in a light marinara sauce - delicious). And the gelato is the best. Will definitely return. "

  • "We enjoyed everything about our dinner at Sicilia--the proximity to town (we had tickets to a show at RBC and were happy to park only once); the service was sweet and helpful, not intrusive; the food was fresh and delicious; the window on Broad Street is a delight. The flavors seem authentic and the staff could not have been more genuine and gracious."

  • "nice little café in downtown Red Bank-great food NYC atmosphere-love it! Friendly, attentive staff-would heartily recommend! The Pesto Siciliano is outstanding!"

  • "The food was very good, but it lacked in presentation."

  • "They advertise themselves to serve food like your Sicilian grandmother would serve. Far from it. Everything we ate was less than good. Portions were small and my veal saltimbocca was served to me swimming in a chicken broth based soupy sauce - very unappealing. There are so many better Italian restaurants steps away from them. If they want to survive they better get serious about the quality of the food they serve."

  • "All things considered (cost, food, service, friendly owner, space, gelato), this is the best restaurant in the Red Bank area. Surely, there is no better gelato anywhere (ingredients are original, fresh and many from Italy). The menu is interesting and authentically Sicilian (not the usual stuff) since the owner, the owner's family and chef are Sicialian. The pastas are homemade or imported from Italy. The owner is wonderful, friendly and welcoming, making every diner feel special. The servers are knowledgeable, friendly and experienced. This place is a gem that many do not know about because it is at the less-busy end of town."

  • "Nice neighborhood spot, but food was unremarkable. Arugula was fresh, but flavor was not great."

  • "We njoyed a terrific meal here Saturday night. We were sat timely, enjoyed great food that was well-prepared and of course, the gelato was awesome. Menu is extensive, lots of specials too, hard to make a choice but we went with the veal scallopine with asparagus and mushrooms and the pasta carbonara. Food was served hot, and was delicious. Appetizers were excellent as well. The gelato topped off a very nice night. We will be back."

  • "This restaurant never disappoints. The salads are creative and delicious. Their pastas are cooked 'al-dente', the way they are meant to be, and are never overcooked. They have a friendly and accommodating staff. The egg fettucine with peas and mushrooms in a light cream sauce was excellent. It was a special entree that night, but they should definitely add this to the regular menu."

  • "The food was outstanding, the service good, but the room was too noisy. It was hard to hear the person across from me, and too easy to hear the couple at the next table."

  • "Although not smack in the center of Red Bank, this location is great for dinner parking. A group of five and no person left a morsel on the plate. Need I say more....perfect chicken, salmon and veal dishes were the consensus around the table. Starter was a mango goat cheese salad, two for the table, with reduced balsamic and again not a leaf was left. The end result was creamy, smooth delicious gelato. Can't wait to dine there again."

  • "Very traditional Italian Cuisine. Long on taste and freshness with light sauces in a variety of offerings."

  • "The food at Sicilia was very good. The presentation of the salads was unusual & nice. The salad special said it had blueberry goat cheese. The pieces of goat cheese were so tiny it was hard to tell if there was any cheese in in. When we asked the waitress about this she almost stuck her finger in the salad to point out a tiny crumble of cheese. The veal special was delicious however for the price it would have been nice to have a little pasta or vegetable on the side. In spite of these less than stellar comments, we would be willing to give the place another try based on how tasty everything was. It's a BYOB which is always a plus."

  • "Dinner was wonderful and so was the service. Sicilia is a great neighborhood restaurant.. Have been there a few times but this time took friends and they loved it. Oh yes, the menu is excellent!"

  • "Our group of six met for lunch and sat at a round table by the window facing Broad Street. The cloth table cloth and napkins added to the cheery atmosphere of warm, gold walls with Italian ceramic decorations. The lasagna with béchamel sauce was tasty. Other entrees ordered: tuna salad, strawberry salad, hot chicken wrap, shrimp & calamari. Five people enjoyed their entrees. It was noted that the fried shrimp tasted like it had been fried in oil that had a chicken taste. Coffees and gelato were excellent. Service was outstanding."

  • "At first glance, I wasn't impressed because I had to enter the restaurant through the gelateria. However, the dining room was nicely apportioned - comfortable and roomy. Our service was great - we had time to go over the menu and chat without feeling rushed. We had both prix fix selections and ala carte. Entrees were perfect size - not heaping, not teeny and very well prepared. Eggplant parm was grilled (big plus+), not fried, pear and arugula salads were pleasingly plated. Grilled shrimps, spicy vodka sauce and bolognese were all tasty. We didn't miss not having a wine list... this is a BYOB, it allowed us a chance to bring fav selections from home. Don't be put off by the review comments about the bread - I'm glad we weren't!"

  • "We've been eating in redbank for years, and decided to try this place based on open table available reservations on a busy Friday night- and we are certainly glad we did. It may be our new area place! The staff was accommodating and the dining area spacious. The appetizers were creative and well prepared. We had the fried chickpea (although a but too greasy) the brushetta and the hot peppers.. My mango salad - was delicious and fresh... Even my husband liked his chicken (and he is very hard to please). Added bonus was our friends remembered it was BYO and bought along a crispy white to compliment all our meals! We're definitely coming back!"

  • "We have a couple favorite spots that we frequent in Red Bank, but I wanted to try something new, so we dined here last Saturday night. The restaurant is in a prime location on broad street, and has a cute patio that is probably a nice place to sit when the weather is warm. There is nothing special about the food here. There are very few vegetarian options. I am guessing the menu does not change often, as I saw nothing on there to reflect that it was fall. The bread they serve is low quality, store bought. The table next to us had a seafood dish, which came with a lemon-with a sticker still on it. The server was pretty good, although she seemed confusedm and at times mixed us up with the other tables she was serving. Won't be back"

  • "Went here for the first time on a Friday night. Nice atmosphere very good friendly service, not packed & the food was very good. We liked that it is a BYO so it keeps a nice nite out more affordable. We will be going back."

  • "Had friends from Australia in town and we enjoyed a late dinner at our favorite real Italian restaurant in Red Bank. Entrees are more than generous and absent the heavy typical Italian fare. The service is always friendly and attentive and the Sicilian influence is very evident in the food they offer. The pastry deserts are from an Italian bakery and their gelato is made by them and is fantastic. This is a byo establishment on the southern end of town with parking on the streets nearby."

  • "The food was excellent especially the appetizers and deserts. The figs wrapped in prosciutto were sublime. The canolis and gelato were the best I have had in years. The salmon was a beautiful piece of fish, but the preparation was a little plain. The pastas were excellent. I will definitely be going back."

  • "We all had pasta dishes - 1 with lobster and cockels, and 1 with mussels. Both were delicious and creative. We also enjoyed their galatto. Everything was great."

  • "My bolognese was good, my wife's chicken francaise was good. Her dish could have had a better presentation. The same comment for my brother in laws veal. it was good but a very small portion. Sicilia Cafe needs better bread! I don't understand how Managment serves this awful "sub sandwich" bread? Also put a bottle of olive oil on the table. They really need to improve the ambience and comfort of the restaurant. The chairs are hard wood and very uncomfortable. The floors are awful commercial tiles, put some area rugs over it. The walls are boring and the music system is not good. I would not return to the restaurant until they improved the comfort of the space."

  • "Very suprised and glad we went! There are many choices in the area but this one aimed to please. Food was prepared as requested and service was pleasant. Nice Sicilian family runs the place and accommodated all our off the menu requests. Plus save room for dessert- gelato !"

  • "For those of you not lucky enough to travel to Italy, it has turned into your lucky day. I consider myself knowledgeable and with an experienced tongue to the Italian cuisine. Sicilia cafe Is a diamond in the rough. The food is authentic, and you don't have to travel across an ocean. The decor is rustic and true to typical Italian decor. The staff is friendly, and family like. The dashingly good looking owner Vincenzo is always there to greet you with a smile and warm welcome. You feel like a part of the family. And please please save room for dessert! The homemade Gelato, and fantastic pastries are worth it! HIGHLY RECOMMEND!"

  • "The decor was more of a cafeteria style, but with tablecloths. The food was very good, but the portions were tiny. I don't require a lot of food, but for a dinner meal this was more like a diet lunch. I paid $18.95 for a grilled shrimp dinner with spinach. The shrimp were small and you just about got a taste of spinach. They need to raise their prices and give you more food and larger shrimp."
