If they don'tPhenomenal food. If they don't have an item on the menu they will make it for you if it is within their ability. Would go back there almost every day for dinner5/10/2013 12:00:00 AMOur 15th Wedding AnniversaryWe had an excellent meal to celebrate our 15th wedding anniversary. We usually travel to center city for a special dinner, but this year we needed to stay close to home because we had plans for early the next morning. I pass this restaurant on my way to work and thought it looked like a very nice place. We decided to try it and we were not disappointed! The food was amazing and the service was top knotch! We had a lovely evening and we will definitely put Ristorante San Marco on our list of favorite restaurants! And it's such a bonus that it's only fifteen minutes from home!5/10/2013 12:00:00 AMSan Marco is a delightIf you want to spend a pleasant enjoyable evening, for any occasion, let San Marco be your destination. A wonderful menu always bested by daily specials and unparalleled service ALWAYS prove to be a winning combination. Amazing. Never disappointed. A true suburban gem.5/7/2013 12:00:00 AMAlways Meets or Exceeds ExpectationRistorante San Marco can always be counted on for great service and a great meal5/4/2013 12:00:00 AMNever Fails to Please!Another outstanding dining experience at San Marco, fish was delicious and the veal chop outstanding.5/4/2013 12:00:00 AMWe are frequent diners atWe are frequent diners at San Marco. The food never disappoints. We went on Friday this time instead of our normal Saturday, and found the service much more relaxed. We frequently feel rushed on Saturdays.Menu is wonderful and always lots of specials-they even offered to do a special for my husband that was not featured that night, but that he had eaten and loved previously, but instead he chose the veal with shrimp in brandy cream sauce - he is still talking about it.I,being vegetarian, had the portobello mushroom appetizer - they have told me how they prepare the mushrooms, which are exquisitely tender and flavorful, but I have not been able to do it at home. Also had mezzaluna pasta with tomato concasse.Possibly best concasse ever.Go,eat,enjoy!4/19/2013 12:00:00 AMWe celebrated family birthdaysWe celebrated family birthdays last week and the staff was wonderful, as was the food. We will definitely return.4/18/2013 12:00:00 AMWe dine at San Marco severalWe dine at San Marco several times a year.Superb upscale Italian food.Grilled portobello mushroom salad was lightly dressed and tasty.Crostini with fresh chopped tomato was delicious and crunchy. My husband's stuffed veal chop special was tender and delicious - served with roasted potatoes.I am vegetarian-San Marco will not,as some places do,remove meat or seafood from an entree and reduce the price, but there are lots of veggie choices.I had the stuffed mezzaluna pasta with tomato concasse-one of the best tomato based dishes I have had in a restaurant.Service rated low because they tend to rush us,even though we told them we were not in a hurry. But the great food takes us back!4/13/2013 12:00:00 AMAlways Great!I have been to Ristorante San Marco many times, with family and with coworkers. The food is always excellent and and service always attentive. You will find an exciting menu with numerous daily specials. And, if you want something just a little different than what is on the menu, our experience is...just ask. Add to that a very reasonably priced wine list pages long.4/9/2013 12:00:00 AMFriendly and excellent service.Friendly and excellent service. Wonderful Caesar salad was followed by good, but not great osso bucco. My husband lied his Bronzino very much.4/6/2013 12:00:00 AMThis is starting to become a habit.Great as usual. Took my wife for her birthday and she loved it. Going a little earlier on Saturday evening led to a quieter, more romantic, experience. Later on the noise level becomes "energetic" meaning it is tough to talk to other people at your table. Love the food and prices are reasonable given the quality. Attentive service. Romantic setting. Excellent selection of dishes.3/23/2013 12:00:00 AMVery impressed, service wasVery impressed, service was impeccable, excellent food !3/22/2013 12:00:00 AMFood and service were excellent.Food and service were excellent. We had a 7:30 reservation, arrived at 7:00 to enjoy a cocktail and the owner wanted to seat us immediately. While having our drink he walked by us several times to let us know he was ready for us. Just felt rushed. This wasn't our first visit here nor was it the first we felt rushed by the owner. Back off Leo and let your customers enjoy a night out.3/22/2013 12:00:00 AMThis is always a great placeThis is always a great place for special occasions, or to hang at the bar on weeknight for good food, drink and piano music. A favorite place for many years, always consistent in it's quality.3/19/2013 12:00:00 AMThe service staff is exceptional! The service staff is exceptional! They are accommodating and very professional. The food is consistently outstanding and the atmosphere is old world European .... very charming.3/15/2013 12:00:00 AMSan Marco is a one hour driveSan Marco is a one hour drive for us and one which we happily undertake including turnpike, 202 etc. My best friend lives in Ambler and we make it special 5-6 times a year. (wish it were more) Sun dried tomatoe linguine with scallops and shrimp in white wine sauce as an appetizer was wonderful as was the braciolli in diabalo sauce. Friends escarole and small meatball soup was really superb. Service is incredible. We always feel like we are regulars and are welcome. Lemoncello after drink is the best you can have anywhere. We love all the specials too.3/13/2013 12:00:00 AMAn unexpected find for us.An unexpected find for us. We were looking for something close to the Act 2 Playhouse. This is not a place for the trendy food fashion forward, this is a place that does a fresh salad with tomato, avocado and mozarella, fantastic veal with mushorooms or in oil and lemon, melt in your mouth gnocchis, and washes down with a properly slightly chilled chianti. The service was excellent - there the moment we needed it but not hovering. We are looking for an excuse to make the trek out to Ambler (we live in Narberth) again soon.1/21/2013 12:00:00 AM
