Ristorante PiccoloGreat Night OutIt was my girlfriends birthday, we had a drink at the bar and Andrea was fantastic helping my gf with her drink, the host gave us a private table off to the side that was perfect for our evening, the waiter knew the menu and was very patient with us. The steak capaccio and antipasta was incredible and their homemade lobster ravioli was fantastic! Not too big and not too small. While the menu may seem like a standard selection as you would find at any nice Italian restaurant, it is what is delivered to the table that makes the experience special. I have now been there 3 times and have enjoyed my experience each and every time. The food is fabulous and the waitstaff is very professional/knowledgable and helpful. On the weekends there is a strolling violinist which I find very endearing. There are so many great restaurants in DC, but this is the first one in a long time that I have wanted to return to and bring others with me. But that was a year ago, so I decided to give it another try. Very much improved. They now have a fixed price $12 lunch. I ordered the minestrone soup which was excelllent and the chicken salad, which also was very good. And the bread was soft and warm. Service started out very slowly--it took a long time before we were even given water--but picked up and ended up being satisfactory.
