Diner Reviews
  • "Willing servers but the food missed the spot. I was anticipating a great local Italian restaurant, but found the preparation to miss the mark. Given the wealth of wonderful Italian restaurants in the Philadelphia area, my next venture will be to a different independent, or to a a chain like Bertucci's. :-("

  • "We were attracted to Marcello's by the gluten free pizza. The staff is great, but I noticed a partially eaten pizza crust under my chair when we were sat, and almost every page of the menu were stuck together. The espresso is from a prepackaged pod similar to a K-cup and was under flavored. The Italian Hawaiian pizza was pretty good, but the gluten free pizza crust seemed like it came premade, possibly frozen. The best part was the service. Our waitress was attentive and the highlight of the night. We weren't aware that Marcello's is a byob. Overall the experience wasn't bad, but nothing really stood out as exceptional either."
