A word from Ristorante Italianissimo
Italianissimo is a family owned and operated restaurant in Woodinville offering fine Northern Italian fare. Owner/Chef Kent Betts jokes about our location being "a pitching wedge away" from the Wine Warehouse District. When we aren't serving up delicious housemade pasta, hand picked meats and produce, and our fun new bar menu to the locals and wine-goers of Woodinville, you can find us catering at wineries, in homes, and at corporate events. Our scratch kitchen and scratch bar guarantee you're getting the freshest, highest-quality ingredients. We take pride in our customers, our employees, our family, and our community. We have an extensive wine cellar, a private dining room, an outdoor patio, a great cocktail lounge, weekly wine tastings, and many on and off site event capabilities. Continued

Diner Reviews
  • "The food was inedible. The minestrone was buillion with veggies thrown in, the chopped salad was soggy, the fettucine primavera was full of large veggies, cut bigger that the fettucine, the sauce was thin and sweet. The fusilli puttanesca did jave real olives and a bit of spice but the sauce was super sweet. I suspect the sauces was from a jar with some homemade touches. We left most of our food."

  • "I took my very lovely date to Italianissimo for a quiet romantic evening and they came through with flying colors. I have been visiting the restaurant for years and they just seem to get better with age; like a fine wine. I recommend Italianissimo for anyone looking for a quiet romantic evening with their significant other."

  • "We had a wonderful dinner , great meal, drinks,& dessert for $100 + tip! Ny husband had the veal Marsala & I had calamari steaks. Fabulous ! Worth a drive from Seattle for this great family restaurant . Was especially nice because we were on our way to a concert."

  • "Italianissimo is a an excellent little restaurant tucked away behind the white stallion in Woodinville. We had a great bottle of wine with our meal and excellent service. Highly recommend."

  • "Great food. King salmon special was extraordinary. Knowledgeable and attentive wait staff, very nice ambience, modest noise level enabling a table of six to easily converse - just a real pleasure for dining. At the end of the dinner we all agreed to return - soon."

  • "On this night we were with a group of eight. The service was attentive without being overwhelming. We received our food in a timely manner and it moved along smoothly. We started with calamari, which seemed a success, and then various appetizers; the shrimp bisque is a popular choice, as is the Caesar salad and caprese salad which had 4 slices of tomato with the mozzarella. It was a perfect size for a starter, although if you barely eat food like one of the women then you can eat one slice and claim the other slices are just too much too eat. The main meals varied from a special of salmon which was cooked to their liking, to Pasta Fiamo (which we always like), to other chicken and veal dishes. Great desserts."

  • "We've lived in the area for over 10 years and 'discovered' this restaurant on Open Table while looking for a spot for a birthday dinner for a family member. Upon entering the restaurant we were pleasantly surprised: the filled dining room suggested something good was going on here! We were seated promptly and dove into the menu. Our meals included the Italianissimo & mista con frutta salads: both were beautifully presented with fresh ingredients. Our entrees included eggplant parmigiana, gnocchi panna rosa (best we've had on this side of Lake Washington) and the pork tenderloin - cooked perfectly. What struck us was that each of these dishes were well prepared - it wasn't an effort to recreate some regional cuisine."

  • "My Boyfriend and I were going to a concert at the Chateau Ste Michelle Winery, and were looking for a place to go for dinner before hand. We came across this restaurant online and checked out the menu. Sounded delicious. We immediately made reservations. We got there, and were treated like family as soon as we walked through the doors. The wine selection was the best I have ever seen for the size of the restaurant, and the food was to die for. I'm a picky eater, so that definitely says a lot. I have already told family and friends about it and will be making the long drive out there again just for the delicious food and amazing people sometime in the near future :)"

  • "Went here for a birthday occasion. Service was very friendly and extremely attentive. Nice atmosphere; great diversity in food choices and all party's meals were very good, obviously they take great care in creating and preparing. Will return and do recommend to others."

  • "We had a party of 10 and everyone's meal was delightful! The made from scratch ravioli and lasagna were exceptional!!! My friend appreciated that that they had a whole wheat pasta option."

  • "Food was very good with a large, diverse menu that is uncommon among Italian restaurants. Excellent wine list featuring many local options and some excellent craft cocktail selections. Down side was pretty huge, however. I don't know if this was a fluke evening, and at $100+/person, I would not be likely to gamble on a repeat, but the service was inattentive and extremely slow. We were seated for over 15 minutes before we were acknowledged by our server (with reservations, no less) and had to wait an additional 15 minutes for our cocktail and appetizers order. Once the entrees arrived, the service improved dramatically, but the slow and inattentive start really soured the evening."

  • "I wasn't expecting to find a great dining spot in essentially a small strip mall setting in Woodinville. The food was tasty, portions ample and well priced. Service is always knowledgable and friendly."

  • "As I always say in this review, they offer consistently good food and good service. Our waitress was very pleasant and gave just the right amount of attention. We were still able to enjoy our group and conversation. You can't go wrong with the shrimp bisque or chocolate mousse. The main meals are also pretty reliable. They make great sausages and you can always ask for an extra sausage or two on the side."

  • "Once again I met a colleague for a late lunch last week at my favorite local Italian restaurant - our food was hot and mouthwatering-ly delicious, our recommended wine was superb, and the service was attentive but not intrusive. I LOVE this place!"

  • "Took my wife to Ristorante Italianissimo for a Birthday meal. The ambiance was just fair, seemed too brightly lit for us, we prefer a more romantic setting. The staff was very friendly and the service was good. The food fell short of our expectations, the eggplant my wife had was not completely cooked. My meal however was only fair (Shrimp Diavolo). I don't believe we'll go back, nor do I feel I'd recommend it to friends. Overall, our dining experience was "middle of the road", just mediocre. "

  • "After a great day of wine tasting at the nearby Woodinville Warehouse Wineries we were delighted with our italian meal at Ristorante Italianissimo. the waitress mentioned the home-made italian sausage special which proved to be great choice for me. The rewards for having both home-made angel hair pasta and fresh italian sausages with fresh tomatoes made for a delightful meal. Attentive and competent service made for a great finale to our Woodinville Wine Experience. Warm and cozy atmosphere was a welcome relief after a day on our feet."

  • "Second week in a row. Last week excellent/superb salmon. This week excellent halibut. Simple preparation, with buerre blanc sauce, mash potato; mixed veggies. Little Bear Creek Red Blend excellent as always. Split a garden salad with diced tomatoes also good. I great for the price. $71 for the two before tip. "

  • "Walked in to see the place was already bustling with a mix of ages, including a fair number of families. We were seated promptly, with water and fresh Italian bread and olive oil immediately delivered. the Barbera d' Alba we ordered was excellent, and only $28. Great deal. The Eggplant Parmesan (hot) starter hit the spot. While we personally would probably prefer the eggplant to be a little less "al dente", it was nonetheless quite delicious. The tomato sauce was light. a wonderful Pasta Carbonara and Chicken Marsala. The pasta was delivered hot, pre-split for us, a very good portion. The Chicken Marsala was the best dish of the night -- pounded perfectly tender, melt-in-your-mouth with sauteed mushrooms and a light marsala sauce. "

  • "Wife and I have been to Italianissimo many times. We have enjoyed all servings, both vegetarian and meat. In our latest visit, I had the fresh King Salmon. It was among the best prepared salmon dishes I have had over the hundreds enjoyed in many years. The veggies are near perfect without overcooking. I always come for the Little Bear Creek Red Wine Blend that ideally compliments my meals. We also share the salad and Ice Cream that are delightful. "

  • "It's difficult to give a great review to a restaurant one has only been to once, but first impressions are important and mine was good! I got the lasagna, which was delicious, and the others in my party were very happy with their entrees, as well. The service was excellent. Our server was friendly & attentive without hovering. Though ours was a family dinner, the ambience would be perfect for a quiet romantic dinner. I would definitely return here again to try some of the other menu items & it was a great place to bring an out of town visitor!"

  • "The decor is quite dated - almost stale like, and definitely on the tacky side of Italian decor. I had the vitello al parmigiana which was nice and I think fair for the price. My wife had the fettucine fiamo, and it was disappointment on a plate. The pasta itself was quite al dente and cool to the touch. Most of the shrimp were a bit rubbery. Odd thing was no one asked us how the meal was with half the plate untouched. Needless to say we will not rush back."

  • "The service was great, I ate at the bar and the bartender recommended an outstanding dinner that combined both a pasta (uniques pesto pasta) and meat dish (Pork Tenderloin) from the menu. The salad to start was also excellent. I will certainly return when I am in the area."

  • "We've been going to this restaurant for a long time and have noticed some things aren't as good as they used to be. Food is tasty, but there are new cooks in the kitchen - it is apparent. The were hardly any mushrooms in the Pollo Marsala and no anchovies on the caesar salad. Also, they have stopped recognizing birthdays with a dessert. It truly hurt my husbands feelings after going there for so long to be told "we don't do that" anymore. Not even a candle in a piece of bread!! Because it is a neighborhood restaurant it always seem to be busy at dinner, but they need some competition. "

  • "The pasta is excellent and so many options to choose from. Our server was fun which is always nice. I like service with a smile but someone with personality goes a lot further in my book. We had a wonderful birthday dinner there and didn't feel rushed at all even though we spent 2 hours. Food arrived quickly and was beautifully presented and delicious."

  • " I was looking for a place that would seat 8 people and had good food. I read the menu and because I have lived in Northern Italy, Piedmonte, I was hoping to get some Northern Italian food. The menu had pasta dishes from all over Italy so I can say it was not specific to Northern Italy. One of the specials was lobster ravioli with marscapone and I swear it was the same brand that they sell frozen at Costco (the pasta was a salmon pink color). I had the lasagne and the flavor was good although the pasta was overcooked. The best thing about the restaurant was the service. They seated me even though my party had not all arrived and they were great about giving us 8 separate checks, we did not even have to ask!"

  • "Seriously I can't say enough about this restaurant. It is consistent, always has creative recipes and we love Marie and Mark! Marie never has to write any orders down, never forgets any requests and is just a joy to see! She adds to the whole experience!"
