Diner Reviews
  • "We rushed to make sure we made our 7:45 reservation. We were sat right away but didn't see a waiter for over a half hour. No water no cutlery... nothing. We did finally get our orders in and then the real wait began. It was an hour and a half before our dinner arrived. The pasta was extremely overcooked watery and cold. The sauce had absolutely no flavor. We know it wasn't our waiter'd fault but the fact that he didn't even come to check on us had us feeling quite frustrated. We even had to flag down another waiter just to pay our bill. Too many other great spots to waste our time there again."

  • "Great restaurant in the heart of Boston's North End. We had dinner with friends from New Orleans, and we all thought the food was excellent! I will definitely be back! Although we didn't choose the rooftop dining this time, that will be our choice next time!"

  • "My friends and I went to Fiore for the first time and loved it. The food was delicious and the roof deck is a perfect spot! I highly recommend it."

  • "The restaurant was average. The food was good but not great. Service was a little slow and the waiter gave us the impression we were bothering him when asked a question."

  • "Il Fiore is a gem. The pasta dishes are incredible."

  • "The food was amazing, the service was great, and they had amazing specials. This place is expensive but worth it for a nice celebratory dinner. It is also very loud, so I would bring a small group so you can be more intimate."

  • "We were there for a special occasion and our waiter Orizio made it even better. It was the first time there for the couple we were with and he made them feel like family."

  • "Had a very nice dinner with my family. Food was tasty and interesting. Waiters appropriately attentive. Noise OK. Ate upstairs on long row of tables which some might not like, but we all felt this was fine."

  • "This turned out to be a spectacular dining experience. First and foremost, if Orazio ("O", as the regulars call him) is your server, you're in for a treat. He is honest about what's good, is a consummate gentleman, and will take great care of you. We were thinking of ordering off the Dine Out Boston/Restaurant Week menu, but opted for the regular dinner menu instead. After the gnocchi al pomodoro, chitarre alla scogliera, and broccolini, we were very sated! Everything was perfectly prepared and seasoned, right down to the tomato sauce that would rival my grandmother's. Fiore has a really nice Italian wine list, too, with many by the glass."

  • "My fiancé went there for our first date, night we got engaged, and first weekend back from Afghanistan. Never fails to deliver a romantic evening. We always receive great service from start to finish, very attentive. Can't wait for roof deck to be open in a few months."

  • "Fiores was wonderful as the food was excellent and service was great. What ruined it is that we were near the waitress station upstairs in front of the stairs. One waiter dropped a whole bucket of silverware behind us and there was constant noise and bustle. I would have been embarrassed if I was with business people but had my daughter and good friend for dinner but that table should be moved."

  • "Found this restaurant on Open Table when trying to find a place to eat on a Saturday evening in the Fall. Booked a reservation an hour before we came without knowing much about the place. Great service, very accommodating to the member of our party with a food allergy. The full bar was nice as many restaurants in the North End don't have full liquor service. My gnocchi with lobster meat was phenomenal. Highly recommend this place!"

  • "the food is delicious and the service amazing. We felt treasured the whole tie we were there! Alphonso, the maitre'd, and Oracio, our waiter, provided superb personal and individualized care that greatly enhanced our dining experience"

  • "Gin and tonic was automatically served in a tall glass and could hardly taste the gin. Shrimp cocktail was rubbery and tasteless. Veal chop was good and cooked perfectly. The Veal Romano was ok, but swimming in sauce and the portion small. We had to order a side of pasta because it did not come with. Really? Overall, the service was perfunctory and food was under seasoned. With so many other choices in the north end I doubt we'll be back."

  • "As always the food was outstanding. Had the special antipasti and Swordfish, crème brule for desert. Ask for Anthony as your waiter, they do not come any better. A wonderful person to say the least. He definitely adds to the ambiance, go with his recommendations! Visit Fiore's 6-7 times each year for the past three years, have never had a bad dish or service. Guests that I have taken all rave about Fiore's long after their visit. Have travelled globally, Fiore's is my all time favorite!"

  • "My husband and I had a belated Valentine's Dinner at Fiore. We had been a couple times before but it had been awhile. It was just as we remembered! The food was delicious and the service top notch! We felt right at home. We were never rushed but our server was the perfect level of attentive. The recommended wine with our meal was spectacular and nicely priced! Fiore is a place not to be missed, especially when the warmer weather is here... the roof deck is fabulous for dinner and cocktails!"

  • "Wonderful attentive, but not claustrophobic service. A delectable antipasto and perfect pasta. Fiore is a gem in the North End. Having the ability to valet park on a snowy night made the experience all the better."

  • "We truly enjoyed our dining experience. Our server, Tino, was professional, attentive, and very helpful in assisting us with appetizer and main course selections. Our antipasto was delicious, as were our main courses (I had the lobster). The atmosphere was wonderful too. We would definitely return and would also recommend it to our friends and family!"

  • "Food was very tasty, server was very energetic. However, ended up waiting for 25 min past reservation to be seated. Also it is loud!"

  • "We did a dinner here recently and by looks, by the professionalism of the staff and by the menu selection we figured it was going to be a good experience. Unfortunately, the food quality was terrible though. Very sub-par North End restaurant."

  • "We've been to Fiore's a few times now and always have a good experience. Our waiter was the best. He was very attentive and willing to spend time answering questions. We both ordered the same dish, a homemade ravioli special. It was very good but could have had a little more spice or garlic. It needed just a little something more. But still a great experience. Ristorante Fiore is one of our favorites in the north end."

  • "Enjoyed every aspect of our evening. From our delightful waiter Anthony to the wonderfully prepared food. Our Antipasta was exceptional and the Lasaga with Bechemel creme was the best Lasagna we've ever had. Our party of 6 was very pleased all around."

  • "Saturday night in BOston's northend can be crazy busy. However, our table was waiting for us when we arrived and we were seated immediately. Our wait staff was very attentive and the appetizers and entrees arrived on time. I added a 7th person to our group during the day and the restaurant was accommodating. The antipasti appetizer was fresh and delicious along with the calamari (tender and not over cooked). The entrees were delicious and portions were satisfying. We will definately return to this restaurant!!"

  • "food was just ok , but room felt I was eating in a hallway. Do not eat upstairs unless in main room."

  • "They accommodated a table of 10. Their antipasto. With their house made roasted peppers and eggplant was wonderful. The veal and swordfish special was fantastic. Our waiter was attentive and recalled Everyone's name. My only dissappointment? It was my daughter's birthday and I was surprised They didn't offer her a dessert. I think they should figure that one out. I will return, esp when the roof top deck opens."

  • "We were able to get last minute reservations on a Saturday night which was great. We had 3 ten year old girls with us, who are extremely well behaved. We were sat in an area that I think they determined would be the "kids section" that evening. Despite other tables being available we were sandwiched in between two families, which diminished our experience. The food was fine. We've been to Fiore several times so it was as we expected. The service was fine as well. Nothing special, nothing terrible."

  • "Food, wine and service was wonderful. I highly recommend this restaurant. Only thing, table of four was sooooooo cramped. It was a little uncomfortable."

  • "I took a client to dinner and we decided on Fiore. Although we were 15 minutes late our table was reserved and we were sat right away. The food and service were both excellent. I would definitely go back."

  • "My fiance and i had dinner here and everything was spectacular! Our waitress was a sweetheart, so nice. My fiance had the salmon and I had the risotto and they were both amazing. We def enjoyed our dinner and will be returning!"

  • "The food was terrific; Homemade pasta very tasty; good wine list & not over-priced; although not entirely full, the service was tardy with things like water, bread, dipping oil, etc.. The second floor dining area is a long narrow room with tables to the right and left, but those on the left below the bar share a wall-long bench. These tables are on the samll side and leave diners too close to each other, and leave the person sitting on the chair-side feeling a bit cattle-like, and being bumped regularly by the servers and patrons passing by behind. This may have been a function of the evening (New Years Eve), but at least there should be more space between tables in that area."

  • "My boyfriend and I went for a romantic dinner on NYE. We arrived 15 minutes prior to our reservation time. Thinking it was NYE and that we would most likely have to enjoy a cocktail prior to being seated, which we were prepared for, much to our surprise we were seated right away. Our waiter came right over and introduced himself. He told us what the specials were. We ordered a bottle of wine that was excellent. We placed our order, and ordered what our waiter recommended. Everything he explained to us was SPOT ON the food was amazing and the service impeccable. We never felt rushed and was able to take our time and enjoy ourselves. I 100% recommend this restaurant. We can not wait to go back!"

  • "I rated the food good not very good because one dish pulled the score down. The appetizer, wine, and one entre was exceptional. The other entre, a pasta, sausage, and broccoli rabe dish with a garlic wine reduction would have been great except for the fact that the garlic was so strong it overpowered the dish. No matter what it all tasted the same, you could not distinguish between the ingredients. I am a garlic lover so it had to be strong to turn me off. Otherwise the experience was great."

  • "The atmosphere, service, and food were all fantastic. The location on Hanover is great. Service staff knowledgable, food served with a reasonable amount of time. We, give of us, will return. Love to see an Italian eatery run by Italians! Doesn't get any better than this."

  • "First time going to Ristorante Fiore after hearing great things about it. It was a last minute decision to eat out for Christmas (something we never do) and most of my "regular" North End restaurants were closed. It couldn't have been better a better experience! Food was impeccable and our server, despite it being very busy, was attentive and personable. This restaurant is certainly being adding to my favorites list."
