We found it almost impossible to go wrong with any italian restaurant based on menu alone but fiore restaurant in the north end got amazing reviews so we thought we would try it. Oh my, the food and wine was outstanding! One of my dinner mates had the cavattapi with sausage in wine sauce and it was the star plate of the evening. We were promptly seated after arriving on-time for our reservations.
I would say that our server, while attentive seemed a a bit cold though the other servers I saw in the dining room seemed much more engaged.

We decided to take advantage of the rooftop dining area. It was covered and warm on a chilly Boston night. Our waiter was friendly, quick, and attentive. The food was delicious. The only negative part of the evening was that the lights on the rooftop went out for a couple minutes... Two times. The food was very good, promptly served and tasty. The calamari breading needed a bit of spice as it was very bland. My veal and accompanying pasta was excellent as was the ravioli enjoyed by my companion. My wine glass was promptly refilled when needed. The pre-meal bread was stale....this was really the only significant negative of the evening. Popular dishes like Caesar Salad had a unique and delicious flavor. The shellfish special had an amazingly abundant amount of fish in a wide variety, including scallops, shrimp, mussels, clams, cuttlefish, and swordfish. The broth was delicious, like a thin soup. Dessert was a cannoli - indescribable. Service was impeccable; friendly, timed perfectly. Although the Saturday night crowd was lively, conversation was comfortable.
