The food is somewhat expensive, but very high quality. The service is great but don't come expecting a quick meal. This restaurant is considerably better than its modest exterior. The waiters wear tuxes and many customers dress up too. Highly recommended especially for a special occasion. They were very busy and there was something going negative going on. Much chatter in Italian/Spanish that we didn't understand but it was not pleasant chatter amoung the waiters.
Our waiter gave bad information about a few things. When they came out, the wine was not what he said, even though it was very good. The wine list has it listed without vineyard specified. The dessert was not what he explained.

There is quite a large menu and portions are ample. We split a salad which turned out to be plenty for each of us. Both our meals were delicious. My tortellini was home made and in a rich cream sauce - delightful in every way. They even brought my friend a dessert for her birthday and sang to her. The wait staff were very attentive but not overbearing. The food was absolutely excellent. Even though my wife could not decide on two courses for her entrée, the maître d brought out the entrée she did not decide on for the main course as an appetizer. You book a table for 7:30 and it is yours for the night. We were still there at 10:45 and did not feel pressured to leave. The menu selections are extensive. I had rockfish in white wine sauce with polenta and broccoli rabe. Excellent! But the best part of my meal was the mussels appetizer. I lived in Belgium for 6 years and ate hundreds of bowls of mussels. These were as good if not better -- the sauce was perfect. The mussels were served with crostini, which I tried to use to sop up the sauce. When this was not successful I reached for the bread basket to use the fresh bread to do the same thing. Fabulous! I would recommend this location for just an amazing experience. The menu was so plentiful, I could not decide on what to eat that evening! Food and service is always fantastic, and the owner is always involved with the customers; we have watched him serve almost every dish that comes out of the kitchen and he personally stops by each table to make sure that everything is as expected. The food is fabulous -- and plentiful -- as well as reasonably priced. Waiters have been highly professional though one of them was fairly pushy this time in trying to get everyone at the table to have a salad. It took three or four times of saying no before he gave up.
