RisibisiWonderful EverytimeThe food is consistent, from local producers and well prepared. The service is professional and friendly. The head waiter is so personable and knowledgeable that I never hesitate to ask him about menu items or for recommendations. The food is lovely, the wine list runs from affordable and reliable to celebratory selections and they have decent beer choices. The ambiance is comfortable, quiet and intimate. They do a wonderful job of staggering reservations so you never feel crowded nor alone in their dining room.
If I had one suggestion, I would request they change the core menu up a little more often but, I have never been disappointed by the preparation of anything I've ordered there. Oh by the way, try the donuts.6/16/2013 12:00:00 AMRisibisi Fit for LocavoresRisibisi serves delicious Italian cuisine consisting of fresh, organic ingredients from local farms. The love of fresh food is evident in the beautiful presentations and skilled preparation. The service is knowledgeable, warm and friendly. Very highly recommended.6/16/2013 12:00:00 AMvery good food and a wonderfulvery good food and a wonderful server who was Italian, so very good. Would recommend.6/7/2013 12:00:00 AMDelightful DiningOur experience at Risi Bisi was truly delightful. I was there with my niece and we had much to catch up on. We were never rushed and ate our meal in courses, the waiter always being sensitive to interrupting our conversation. The food was delicious and well proportioned. The wine suggestion was perfect. The overall ambiance was quiet and soft, a lovely background for enjoying one's company.6/3/2013 12:00:00 AMGenuinely authentic ItalianWhat a pleasant surprise. We thought the food would be good, but were amazed at the quality, attention to detail, and remarkable flavoring of the dishes. This is truly an authentic, thoughtful, italian restaurant of the highest order. The service is friendly and attentive. Even though there was a large party in the back area, our food arrived timely and the waiters always available. Will definitely return to explore many of the other wonderful dishes on the menu.6/2/2013 12:00:00 AMThoughtful vegetarian optionsWe really enjoyed Risibisi. We are vegetarian ( not vegan) and were impressed that there were multiple vegan options on the menu. The dishes were very tasty and artfully presented. We will go back.5/27/2013 12:00:00 AMWonderful Mother's Day DinnerWe loved this beautiful restaurant. My son, husband and I ate here for the first time. We each loved our dishes, appetizers and the dessert. If I had to critique something, I could comment on the 2/3 full cocktail glass, with very little alcohol for $9.50. None of us felt there was much alcohol in our drinks. Further, the service was only mediocre. But we will definitely go back, as the food was superb.5/12/2013 12:00:00 AMSolid Italian Food + ServiceIt is hard to go wrong here at Risibisi. The food is very good and the portions are more than adequate. My wife and I went there for lunch on Mothers' day and had a lovely meal consisting of a house crab salad with a Louis dressing(very nice which we shared),and then she had the gnocchi with a wild boar sugo while I had the spaghetti carbonara. I also had and very much liked a glass of vermentino white wine from Sardinia. Even though we were stuffed we treated ourselves to the cannoli for desert.
Another touch that we like is that you can find out from where most of their food and drink is sourced from All in all this place is worth visiting....and enjoying...bring your appetite with you....5/12/2013 12:00:00 AMWe arrived early, our tableWe arrived early, our table was waiting for us. Great food, great service, we enjoyed a relax dinner celebrating a birthday.5/9/2013 12:00:00 AMLunch number 2this was a second lunch visit and as in the past, the gnocchi with wild boar was fantastic as was the pulled boar sandwich. Reheatability of leftovers was fine. We arrived a bit early (very little traffic on a Thursday mid morning from San Jose) but were seated right away but a little before the kitchen was ready. Service was very nice and it was quiet maybe due to the fact that we were early in the day and while we entered as the only party several more people arrived.5/9/2013 12:00:00 AMOne of Petaluma's BestRisibisi is a small intimate restaurant. The chef is imaginative and the quality has always been well above average.
There are few better in Petaluma or Marin. You'd have to go to the wine country East Bay or the City to do better.
Raviolis are light and elegant. Fish is fresh and highlighted by seasoning and sides. Chicken under the brick
is far better than usually encountered, in fact its excellent. Soups are excellent (very few get them right). Deserts are well executed, try the polenta cake.
Recently went to Ad Hoc...this is far more comfortable, reasonable and far better service without attitude.5/8/2013 12:00:00 AMgreat!Great food and service. Who could ask for anything more?5/7/2013 12:00:00 AMLocal FavoriateWe've been going to Risibisi for years. We know the owner, Marco and are always greeted warmly when he's in the house. The food is my wife's favorite Italian place and it enjoyed by the whole family. We'll be fans for a long time and heartily recommend it to fans of delicious Italian dining.5/5/2013 12:00:00 AMPerfect for a leisurely lunch.Perfect for a leisurely lunch. The food well presented and the chicken with rye berries in a lemony (picata) sauce was amazing.4/24/2013 12:00:00 AMMade reservations based onMade reservations based on other OpenTable feedback. This place didn't disappoint. The inside is very hip, small but comfortable. Small bar but great service prior to our table being ready. Friendly and attentive wait staff. Had a group of 5 and we all ordered very different selections. Not one dish disappointed! This will be on my wine country dining list for some time to come.4/20/2013 12:00:00 AMFantastic food in Petaluma!Happened upon this place by chance while passing through Petaluma, and we'll now make it our business to make the trip from the South Bay to Risibisi! The waitstaff really knew their stuff, from the details about the menu to the nuances of the wines. The food was superb. We had the veal tonnato appetizer, which we really enjoyed; who would have thought about combining the tastes of veal and tuna, but it worked. For main courses, we had the wild boar gnocci and the veal shank, and both were wonderful. Delicatedly suffused flavors in everything we tried, perfectly prepared. Everything is locally sourced, so the menu is somewhat limited by location and season, but there's something for everyone. Go out of your way to come here!4/19/2013 12:00:00 AMDelishWe had a delicious dinner for two. I had the special ravioli with the most wonderful lemon sauce which was not too sour or too sweet but just the perfect balance to the delicate dish. My husband opted for the skirt steak which was also delicious.4/13/2013 12:00:00 AMWe were very pleased bothWe were very pleased both with the food and the service. This was our second time there, and we will certainly return when in the area.4/9/2013 12:00:00 AMWe were 12 women, a noisy,We were 12 women, a noisy, fun family group. We all concurred wait staff terrific, food delicious (except the soup was not what I expected, although a tasty broth with veggies, what I make at home is as good). We seemed to open and close down the place and no one felt that workers were urging us out. Would come there again. Thanks for a fun, delicious evening!4/8/2013 12:00:00 AMThis was a delight! Has studied the Italian style and has it down and also adds some creative touches that always enhance. His Vitello Tonnato is a beautiful presentation and absolutely perfect. All the pastas are great too. And they have some nice Italian wines. Super friendly service.3/22/2013 12:00:00 AMone more time, once!Have already review the restaurant on a previous visit prior
