The cheese and charcuterie plate was fabulous and paried with a great wine form their extensive list. The entrees were equally impressive. The house-made spaghetti with tuna, garlic and herbs was divine. A great meal that was outstanding and yet not pretentious.

Saturday evening dinner, the food lived up to its hype. The bone marrow was sublime. The only snag was very long wait for our main course. Our server checked with the kitchen twice before it finally came.

We had a great evening at Ripples. Loved the cheese and meats we had for apps. My friends raved about their steak and the duck, while feasted on the Branzino and lobster--just could have used a loaf a bread to soak up the incredible broth. Will recommend to friends

I've been to Ripple several times for dinner and brunch, as well as for grilled cheese. The service is outstanding -- the staff is friendly, attentive, accommodating, and knowledgeable. The food ranges from "tasty" to "close-your-eyes-I'm-in-heaven" good. I've ordered the steak more than once, and it's always cooked to perfection. There is an extensive wine list with excellent new world and old world selections, and I've had several very good cocktails (the "Fashionista" that my girlfriend ordered was delicious). The ambiance is very pleasant -- the restaurant feels both trendy and classy, and is quiet enough that you can have a conversation. Overall, I've eaten at many excellent restaurants in DC, but Ripple is probably my favorite.

If your visiting DC or simply compelled to live here, Ripple is a great choice for an excellent experience. A comprehensive selection of libation to accompany a delicious array of dishes awaits. Ripple is known for their cheese, though the broader menu is full of delicious surprises. I simply love it when the menu is small ... which indicates that each and every selection will be carefully prepared and beautifully served. Nice job!

My favorite restaurants are those where the meal combines ingredients in ways I would not think of myself. Ripple met that standard with the salad, the main course and the dessert. Our server was excellent - knowledgeable, charming and attentive but not intrusive.

I am a restaurant professional from NYC and I went to Ripple because of the reputation it had amongst my colleagues. It was amazing. The service was efficient and warm. The menu was easy to understand and the perfect size. The wine list had a lot of gems especially if you know wine. The food was easily the best meal I had in DC. You must have the bone marrow. Everything from the deviled eggs to heirloom tomato salad to spaghetti to the delicious berry ricotta mouse was perfect. Portions are filling but not overwhelming. Great value for price. I wish I lived in DC just to eat here more often! Bravo to Danny, Chef Marjorie, and their entire team.

This is the second time we've eaten at Ripple in the past 2 months, and it did not disappoint. The menu was mostly new, which is nice, since so many DC restaurants wait way too long to change their menus. The food was delicious and while it is pricey, it was worth it. My only complaint is that the service was a little too fast, as if they were trying to usher us out quickly.

Ripple lives up to its advertising: the food was seasonal, elegantly prepared, and appropriately portioned. Service was professional and attentive. The only downside is the cost. All the inspired menu, sustainable/local food, and outstanding wines and beers comes at a pretty high price. The value proposition was high, but most won't be eating here everyday.

Came here to have a mid-week date with my wife, and it was perfect. We ran a touch late for our reservation, but they sat us without hesitation. Service was prompt, but never hurried. Server made great suggestions. Wine was good. Food was great. I had the melon salad for an app, which was light and flavorful. My wife had the chilled corn soup with crab. That was amazing! I took a bite of it and wished I could steal it from her. For entrees I had the steak with corn pudding and fried green tomatoes. The steak was cooked perfectly, and the side items were flavorful. She had the hand made spaghetti with tuna. It was good and had a nice spice. Overall a great meal. Price was great, too. About $100 for both of us.

My girlfriends and I were looking for a bunch spot with brunch classics, was reasonably priced, and gave us the option to have a mimosa two. Ripple proved to be a great source. Got the brunch deal which included a pastry, entree, and bottomless mimosas for $28 dollars. All the food we had was great, and the mimosa options we delish (blood orange, orange juice, grapefruit juice). They were also very accommodating with dietary restrictions- one of my friends was gluten free and they brought her a fruit bowl instead of a pastry.

Met another couple for Saturday dinner at Ripple. We started at the bar and enjoyed some lovely red wine. Sat down for dinner and really enjoyed the homemade and fresh corn bread. We did not order starters, but our mains included duck breast, monkfish and two small plates (chilled crab soup and heirloom tomatoes with ricotta, cashews and peaches). We then shared some cheeses, which were totally disappointing! Not because of taste but because you pay $5 for two teeny tiny slices of cheese! Ridiculous. We paid over $30 for the most pathetic cheese plate, not cool. Everything else was good.

Ripple was a great place to dine for a birthday. Overall the food had really interesting flavors and was delicious, though occasionally wasn't as flavorful as you might expect. The highlight of the meal was absolutely the bacon-infused bone marrow. Despite it being an appetizer, the meal could have ended with that and, though I wouldn't have been full, I would have been extremely satisfied.

Our group of four savored just about everything we ordered. The appetizers really shone -- especially the smoked eggplant agnolotti and the heirloom tomato salad. And Ripple's baguettes and corn bread are first rate -- something all too rare in even the so-called best restaurants.

Excited to finally try Ripple but disappointed. Noise level in the bar was extremely loud for 7:00 PM but we secured a quiet table in the dining room. However, after an hour noise in the dining room necessitated repeating every other word. We shared a pasta appetizer, which was delivered without any description--almost thrown on the table. Agnolotti appetizer consisted of flat green objects with a few parmesan curls. Initially, we thought it was an amuse bouche. Tepid and nearly tasteless. Having ordered the infamous "roasted and fried chicken" I was willing to splurge for the calories. Again, the temperature of the food decreased the experience and the fried chicken was over-fried to beyond "crunchy." Might return for drinks.

We've been here about 6 times and the restaurant continues to deliver terrific food in a fun and casual atmosphere. We tend to order 2-3 dishes plus dessert. The one thing is I have never had a meal where every dish hits. I also have never had a meal where at least one dish blew me away. This past Sat the chilled cauliflower soup w crab was an A+. The rockfish main was only okay. The bread pudding was amazing. The agnolotti was okay, but the worst pasta dish I have had here. The bar is high though as the pasta dishes have typically been terrific. The salads and fresh foods are what really set the restaurant apart. We will be back.

My husband joined me on a business trip and found this place. It was SOOOOOO cute! I would definitely come back the next time I am in town. While they have great meat dishes (my hubby destroyed the lamb) they had a lot of vegetarian options that were creative and delicious! And they have incredible wines! This place is worth the trip if you are staying in National Harbor. Thanks so much for a great evening.

The food was really good. I enjoyed every bite, apps through dessert. The restaurant is very loud so we were grateful that we dined on the late side and that it gradually quieted down. Service was initially prompt but got slower as the evening progressed. Although the iced tea was delicious we thought $4.00 a galss was a bit much. I thought there was good value for the prices of the food and the alcoholic drinks were about what I expected.

We went on a slow Sunday night. They were out of a few items we really wanted- not even two hours into service (hello bone marrow!). Living in Cleveland Park, I am fortunate to have this restaurant in the neighborhood. Everything is well thought out here, from the ambience to the menu. The beer and wine list is exciting as well. And as for the food, they do fresh and local sourced ingredients proud. Each time I dine here, I find something new to try and have yet to be disappointed. They cook seafood perfectly and there are always great vegetarian selections along side the meats and not as an afterthought. All in all, Ripple is rewarding.

We loved our first visit to Ripple. The website boasted fresh, locally-sourced ingredients and our palates agreed that it was all of the above. We loved everything from the crackers made in-house with farm butter and the cheese appetizers we ordered (goat, sheep and cow cheeses) to the main courses of lamb, roasted chicken, and bone marrow. Fine, fresh dining at its best!

Too expensive for everyday, but a treat for a reunion or celebration. The desserts are particularly outstanding (and I usually can skip dessert with no regrets). The peach/tomato/ricotta salad was ok - nothing special. The spaghetti app was really awful. We arrived at 7:30 for drinks because we could only get an 8:45 reservation and although I asked I was pretty surprised that they didn't seat us until a few mins past 8:45. They didn't offer bread unless you asked which seems pretty chincy. I had been there before and was hoping it would wow my 2 friends but it really didn't. Main dish (and other) portions were quite tiny.

Ripple is easily one of the best restaurants in the area. I've tried many in the DC area over the past 20+ years and many others in cities around the world, and the meal I had at Ripple the other evening was on par with the best restaurants I've visited. The food and wine are the real standouts. The appetizers, side dishes, and entrees were beautifully presented, unique, and great tasting. The atmosphere is the only weakness we experienced. The dining room is a little cramped, and with a full crowd, the noise levels can get a bit high. I'm looking forward to going back soon.
