Voted "top 10" in New Orleans by the Times Picayune and "Best chef of 2007" for Chef/owner Adolfo Garcia, Rio Mar serves its exquisite cuisine in a casual atmosphere with an outstanding wine list… made up of mostly Spanish wines. "I have never had a bad meal here. My friend and I stumbled upon it one weekday night when looking for something close to the convention center area but different. We have been back several times and brought other friends. I have had the pleasure of having the Paella dinner as well with a group of friends which was definitely a treat."

"While the ambience was nice and the service good, i was somewhat disappointed with the food. My wife, however, enjoyed her meal. Mine was just okay, but not anything memorable or special. I have no desire to give it another try. But to be fair, I'm not a particularly avid consumer of seafood, and this is, after all, a seafood "destination"."

"Great Service, seated immediately, waiter came by within minutes for drink orders. Waiter did great job explaining specialty drinks, specials and unique menu items. Food arrived promptly and was hot and fresh. Fish courses which all 4 members ordered were excellent. Highly recommended for both food and service."

"This super-authentic Spanish/Latin American eatery is somewhat hidden in the Warehouse District, but those in-the-know keep coming back for the seafood-focused specialties that elevate traditional dishes to higher levels while still staying true to their Latin roots. The atmosphere is stellar, and tasting any of the awesome ceviches and all other delicious menu items will give the pleasure of a excellent meal as well as a look into another food-centric culture."
