RinataA hidden JemThis is really a very good restaurant that doesn't appear to get much traffic. We have gone here a number of times and have never been disappointed. This time around we has the bruschetta, ravioli & the flank steak all which were really very well prepared. The service is always great as is the food. It's a smaller place so you better not mind being close to other restaurant patrons. Overall it's definitely worth trying out. The caesar salad is still our favorite; it's packed with flavor and enough garlic to make your taste buds dance. All of their dishes are filling even though they look small. The olive tapenade ith the bread is to die for. Their menu changes regularly and we have enjoyed every dish that we have had. Some stand out dishes are the gnocchi paired with a protein, fettuccine with shrimp in a white wine sauce with chili flake, and their fettuccine puttanesca. My husband adores their meat dishes that include a hangar steak, short ribs with risotto, and wild boar with gnocchi. You can even call ahead and request them to make gluten free pasta. The meatballs were some of the best I have ever had! And the bread served before the meal was delicious! It's definitely a cozy little place, lots of candle light. I could see it normally being really quiet but there was a large group in the same room as me and my date so that definitely contributed to the noise. Reasonable price for the quality of food also. The food and service is always great. I'm Italian and I think their pasta dishes are the best in town.
The noise atmosphere is usually good except this time we were seated next to a table of 20 women having a party which made it difficult to have a quiet conversation at our table. Since the restaurant was not crowded it would have bee nice to have been seated further away. I took a date on Sundy night and we tried the $20 4-Course meal. We both ordered different items and everything was excellent.
Great experience overall, highly recommended to friends.

My date had the ravioli with butter squash and I had the bucatini alla bolognese. Both were delicious and the sauces were amazing. The bread with olive oil and chopped kalamata olives was also a very good starter. The ambiance was nice and it was actually the quietest experience I've had there, the other times I had been to Rinata it was always a full house. Low lighting for a romantic feel but not so low that you can't even read your menu (I'm picky about lighting). The menu is small but the food is great, and that bread that comes with the meals - Amazing! I had the hanger steak with mashed potatoes, the demi sauce wasn't to my taste but it was still a great meal. He had a sausage pizza from the happy hour menu and it was $6 and bigger than a dinner plate - he loved it. We went a little later, around 8:00pm... Only downside that night was some bad vibes from staff around 10pm while we were bellied up at the bar finishing our bottle of house wine- I thought the hours were until 11pm on Fridays? You can tell the chef take time and pride in preparing food because the quality is always there. They also serve dishes that are not found everywhere, or at least give it that unique twist. The lamb meat sauce (on Bucatini alla Bolognese) is done really well and so is breaded cod with arugula risotto.
