Rickey'sPleasantly surprised!We hadnt been to Rickey's for many years after a unimpressive meal long ago. Thought we would give it a try and truly enjoyed our meal. The food was good and well prepared and the wait staff were attentive at all times. Yet that's been our experience of Rickey's, over and over again. Love the Saturday night jazz. Hostess accommodates out table request via open table and called to confirm selection. Waiter Nelson is friendly and knowledgable bar tender Gal was also friendly and made great suggestions. Portions were great not overkill so you could feel good ordering apps and desserts. Yummy food. The food is terrific, the service is great and the atmosphere is warm and inviting. There's music a couple nights a week and we enjoy that. Summer brings Friday night jazz by the pool and that's delightful. Success! Rickey has a lovely mid week special dinner that is very affordable. We had so much fun together and the food was perfectly cooked and served with great care. The dessert plate decorated with chocolate spelling out Happy Birthday was the icing on the cake so to speak. It was a progressive dinner and we got to talking and almost missed out next surprise. It is such a pleasure to be able to have local place that gets it right everytime we visit. Congratulations to the people and staff. Staff were super -- friendly, courteous and they came around to check on things often but not enough to be intrusive. Portions are generous, and prices are very good. It was cold and rainy when we arrived but there was a nice warm fire going that warmed me up quickly. The menu is diverse and every bite was delicious. I love this place. Great service and warm welcome.3/7/2013 12:00:00 AMNot a bad word to be heardI can't remember a time that I went out and from the welcome at check in to the final bite of dessert and last sip of wine, things were this good. It was a birthday celebration and I was trying to think of a new place to try. Rickey's hit a home run. The 3 course meal served Tuesday-Thursday from 5-9 is a treat. I loved I didn't have to rush there and place my order before 6pm like so many of the other restaurants I have tried. This place is relaxing and delightful in every respect. I can't wait to go back and enjoy another evening with them. John Marshall came around and introduced himself and checked to make sure we had everything we needed.
